Wow, thank you so much!
@@AbtInsuranceAgency You're welcome.

Thank you so much for this video; it is exactly what I was looking for. I live in one of the 8 states that prohibit excess charges (PA), so I wasn’t concerned with that. But I am concerned with the cost and availability of the plan and your video here cleared that up. Plan D will cost more than plan N and G, and they are both much more available. I am on Medicare part A and not part B because my wife still works and has great insurance that covers me as well. She wants to work a few more years so I don’t need any other insurance right now. But I do want to remain informed on all the Medicare info and updates for when that time comes. I love watching your videos and will continue to do so. Once again, thank you so much.
You are so welcome!
My husband is turning 65 in 2024, so we’ve been watching a ton of RUclips videos on Medicare and the various supplement plans. So far yours are the easiest to understand as you have a clear, calm delivery. Another RUclipsr says that “many” cancer doctors charge the 15% excess charge, which seems like a scare tactic. Another said that most of the ones who do charge the 15% are psychiatrists and podiatrists. Is there a really tendency of certain specialties to charge the 15%? Thank you so much.
You’re right - that first excess charge statistic is not founded and is absolutely a scare tactic. And yes, most of the excess charges are coming from psychiatrists and podiatrists! So glad you are finding my videos helpful! 😊
I have had Medicare supplement plan d for the last 15 years. have not had one excess charge. Plan D has been great.
Subscribed🙏🏼 i agree this explanation was easier to digest👍🏼 i've crossed paths with nice Doctors with hidden charges,,after they billed me for not doing anything just asking,,"how ya doing?"
Thank you so much for all your help, you are allways my go to girl on all my medicare questions.
You are so welcome!
I'm very excited that you are in Austin and can explain Medicare. I'm in central Tx and will look you up b/4 I sign up for Medicare.
Sounds great! 🎉
Only 3 Plan D’s offered in NH, starting at around $175 for a 65 year old.
Sounds right - very limited, and pretty expensive.
Reach out to WellCare (I am a licensed agent with them). CMS doesn’t allow me to speak in absolutes, but the PDPs seem to be available nationwide with WC
Thank you thank you from NH and have been wandering about this
You are welcome - hopefully it answered some of your questions!
Wow, I never heard of Plan D. Previously had supplement G. Switched to an advantage plan in 2023. Now trying to figure what to do for 2024.

thank you we Appreciate you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank You
I’m trying to figure out if I should keep with my Medicare Advantage plan or switch to regular Medicare plus the supplements you are speaking of. What are the pros and cons?
There are many, depending on your situation. Call us at 888-465-9728
I’ve learned a great deal from your videos. I saw on your website that you do not accept clients from Wisconsin. Do you anticipate a change to this in the future?
Are very clear and concise. 😊
Glad you think so!
I think plan M would be a good choice since it offers a manageable $800 deductible and that should make it more profitable for the insurance companies. Unfortunately it's not a viable choice since so few companies offer it and so few people enroll in it the premiums aren't lower than plan G.
Plan D is the same as plan N and without the copay from Part B. I don't understand why it is not more popular than plan N.
The same as plan g but with the excess charge
Very clear explanation. Thank you. I really have no mind for all this stuff. One thing I was wondering. In your rate quote tool, I see the difference insurance companies are list in rank of least expensive to more expensive. Why would I want to choose a company with a higher monthly charge over the least expensive company? Doesn’t each company provide the same benefits?
Yes, they do. But some companies will raise your rates higher than other companies will.
The charts you refer to can be very difficult to read, if not impossible. Could you supply a link so we can pull up the chart n follow along with your presentation.
www.medicare.gov/health-drug-plans/medigap/basics/compare-plan-benefits I hope this helps!
@AbtInsuranceAgency Yes, this helps today, but I have watched other videos you have put out that present the same situation.
Those insurance companies for Plan D, are they longstanding insurance companies? I thought that was important. Also you did not mention the viability of that plan D raising their premiums....I'd really like to understand why someone would want a Plan D over a Plan G. Maybe I missted something .... will listen again.
Really there is no reason you would want a Plan ad over a Plan G - Plan G will typically always be the better value (or Plan N)!
I am 61 years old and on permanent disability collecting Social Security, I have Medicare Part A & B. Medigap Plan D is the ONLY plan I ca get.
In your video, you referred to the quoting tool where you were able to easily look up the plans, and the pricing by ZIP Code. Where can I access the quality tool?
Medicare.gov
I think you have to be an “agent”, to get access to that tool….
The official Medicare website shows Medigap plans with premiums using your zip code.
Do you have any general advice on getting a dental and optical plans?
you are fantastic. I had to retire suddenly to care for a family member and I feel like I was rushed into deciding before knowing how this whole social security/medicare thing works. It has been very frustrating. Do you do private consulting to make sure people have everything in place properly?
We will definitely help you if we can, call us at 888-465-9728
Something that's always confused me is the line: "Wearable 5% discount on some plans" What on earth does that even mean??
Good question! One insurance company will give you a discount if you agree to wear the equivalent to a "fit bit" type of watch and then report your steps and activity. Kind of like the car insurance companies that would offer discounts if you let them track your driving....
@@AbtInsuranceAgency, Thank you so much for that explanation. :)
Your videos have been very helpful but this one confuses me a bit....
Why does your comparison chart not not include a row showing prescription drugs and if it did, would there be a green check in the plan D column and all other plans have a red X?
If you are including plan D in your comparison is there a reason why prescription drugs is not included in the benefit column?
Also, you compare the cost of plan D with G but don't give any comparison of a part G plan with an add on prescription drug supplemental. Would that not be the true comparison?
It sounds like you may be confusing Plan D with *Part* D. Feel free to call or email me directly with questions! 888-465-9728 or stephanie@abtinsuranceagency.com
@@AbtInsuranceAgency I came back to my comment to say this! I realized this morning after perusing the medicare.gov website. You are right, I'm confusing Plan D and Part D my apologies!
I have a close friend that said I should buy plan G and plan D, why would that be? I think he said D covered prescription drugs?

I did, but I got an answering machine and left a message - Looking forward to hearing back from you.

No worries I just called a few minutes ago, thank you for the quick reply. Looking forward to hearing back when you can.
dont confuse PLAN D (Medigap) with PART D (drug coverage) . Easily confused
I telephoned this morning and got an answering machine....I guess I was expecting a human? is there a way to actually speak with someone when I call in?
Cindy, thank you for your patience during this very busy time of year . We get hundreds of calls per day so sometimes the calls may go to voicemail if the phone lines are full - if you left us a message we will get back to you asap, if we haven't already! 🙂
