      Appreciate that, glad it helped.
      One thing I will say is just make sure you don’t have an OPF filter which was installed on models 2018 July and onwards if I remember right.
      If it does have an opf then to get a dual resonator delete you’ll need to map out the opf.
      If you don’t want to remap anything then it’s still possible to get a single resonator delete.
      However if you don’t have an opf just do a dual resonator delete and you’re good to go with an amazing sound 😃
      Hope that helps

      @@daviation4408 ❤️ thanks for the advice pal, appreciate it. I’ve found 2 to look at over the weekend. I know one Will have it on as it’s late 2018. the guy has put on the Akrapovic titanium slip on exhaust, CF Eventuri intake and it’s mapped. That alone is Going to sound insane. Load of M4 stying on it. 23k miles - £28k private buy. 2nd one is 2017,
      Completely stock apart from carbon look body kit 31k miles and 8k lighter on the pocket. I’m swaying more towards the 2nd one really as it’s 1 owner, from a franchise, and warranted. That one will be the one that gets the res delete - then the Warranty’s voided lol. I’ll Still go to look at the private one but would be nice the have that extra cash to play with it.
      Yeah man your video on it is mint! None of this walk around crap, rabbiting on and pointing out the obvious 🤦‍♂️. a good honest video with plenty of comparison to go on. Is yours mapped?

      @@ashleygainard4978 For sure go with the second if you still haven't got one yet. • @monkeypops85
    @monkeypops85 2 года назад +5

    I'm undecided on whether to do this or not. Does it drone much in the cabin on a longer motorway run?
    I've a tuning box (yes, bad rep but it's actually brilliant) and sounds great in sport + with the box on full whack. Not sure if the res delete would be over the top.
    What was the cost?

    • @daviation4408
      @daviation4408  2 года назад +10

      In my opinion having the res delete is a must on the b58, it really does bring the True Tone of the engine out.
      Being honest with you, inside the cabin there is no difference really when the windows are closed, but when you open the window that’s when you hear it. So on longer motorway runs the car inside is quiet.
      I’m guessing with the tune box it would sound even better then mine.
      What I can say is that before when I put my foot down not a lot of people looked, now when I put my foot down every one turns around to look at the car.
      Cost wise I did mine at Top Gear performance in Doncaster and they charged me £168.

      The exhaust system is 100% stock with just the resonators being deleted and exhaust tips have been changed. However the exhaust tips don’t do anything to the sound.
      There isn’t any drone effect either.
      One thing that I have done is upgraded the intake to a MST Performance intake.
      That makes the exhaust slightly louder I believe.

    • @daviation4408
      @daviation4408  8 месяцев назад +2

      My 440i passed its MOT without any issues, as the resonators don’t stop the emissions, it’s purely for sound reduction.

      No, there isn’t actually any change inside the car, the real difference is when you stand behind the car or open the window when driving. I do long runs in it weekly and I don’t hear any engine or exhaust sound when cruising on the motorway.
      So I do recommend doing it as you get the real sound of the engine come out.
