  • Here we talk a walk around my 2019 440i, it’s been a very long time since making a video talking so excuse some of the weird parts. Appreciate the views and likes. Thanks guys.
    Fitment: Avant Garde M359 19x9et30 19x10et38
    Tires: PS4s 235/40 Slight scrub in Reverse on a bump.
    245/35 would be the better size for RWD 265/35 R
    AWE Catback (Axelback+Midpipe)
    Stock downpipe
    Most other questions can be answered in my walk around video or other youtube videos.
    *Example for rubbing front 235/40 Full lock turning off your driveway. Slight scrub.

    Looks awesome man. Outta curiosity, would you say the AWE axel back by itself is a good improvement over the stock sound or by itself, does it make the car sound slightly worse in tone? Really not sure what to go with on my 340

    • @jack.dahl1
      @jack.dahl1  2 года назад +1

      I’m not going to lie, I do not like the awe axelback on its own. The sound isn’t that good. It drones a lot anytime you’re at 1800-2300rpms. The biggest thing to do on these cars is the mid-pipe imo. Get rid of those two resonators.
      I personally don’t care for how a catless downpipe makes the stock turbo gen 1 b58’s sound.
      For how much the awe axelback is. Not worth it, it drones a lot. The whole catback system is awesome. Check out my black 340i awe sounds video. Deep tone.
      For your money just do the awe midpipe. I just love the awe 102mm chrome angle cut tips. Once I have the full catback I’ll be happy. Axelback on its own is trash.

    • @alexc3295
      @alexc3295 2 года назад

      @@jack.dahl1 Got it, thanks so much for going into detail! I’ve been a little hesitant to hack at only some pieces of the stock system but realistically, full catbacks will always be pretty expensive anyway, and I’m not sure that I’ll be able to justify spending the money. Your 340 sounded awesome so even a little bit of that on my car would be great. My main thing is keeping a super nice tone over having sheer volume so if that’s your recommendation, might just start and maybe even be fully happy with just the midpipe. Thanks so much again dude! Love the content too

    Bro, why they put the tire profile on the rear tires 5 points less than the front, 40 on the fronts and 35 on the rears? I´m sure there must be a reason but i don´t know which

    • @jack.dahl1
      @jack.dahl1  Год назад +1

      I think you might be slightly confused about the second set of numbers on 265/35. The (35) is not measurement on its own. It is actually the percentage of the width. 265/35/19 means the tire is 265mm, and the sidewall is 35% of 265. which means the sidewall is 92.75mm. The front is 235/40, 40% of 235 is 94mm. Meaning these are very close and within 1% error ratio I believe it's around .4% difference. Vs. If they were both 35. (Example 235/35, it would be 82.25mm), which is much farther away. Meaning the difference is 3.14%.
      My tire set is close enough that you could run it very comfortably on an awd car.
      I recommend you mess around on www.willtheyfit.com. Then, you can visually see the difference and mess around with different numbers. Hopefully, this helps.
