It really seems like yesterday that the Advance made its debut...back in 2007. These L-series devices are really cool, a nice mix between the original "classic" design, and the easy to mount design of the Advance series. Additionally, I like the return of the horn AND piezo sounds, similar to the original. The new ring design and mountable colored lenses are really neat.
Basically, it's a cool versatile design that can be used in just about any application. It will only be a matter of time before these invade most buildings. I'm excited to see my first one at some point, and I'll probably nab one at some point in the future. Admittedly, I really like the Advance design, and really like this design.

This is my favorite video by S.E.R Safety.
I've been out of the fire alarm game since RUclips's transition out of channel design and such. It's nice to see they still evolve.
I like how the one that has the back box exposed looks like a System Sensor classic and the one with the back box inside the wall looks like a System Sensor Advanced but even though they are the L-Series of the advanced alarm
Very futuristic looking very nice
By the way love your vids been a long time subscriber
Love your vids keep up the great work
BOTH the narrow and wide versions can be flush mounted or surface mounted. The narrow model is available for just a single-gang box, whereas the wider alarm can be mounted to a single-gang or square electrical box. The purpose of the narrower alarm is for systems that have single-gang boxes (like where an EST Genesis was originally installed without a trim plate). This allows more systems to have notification appliances with a smaller footprint (becoming a trend in new systems).
The style and the fact that there are narrow and wide versions are like a wink and a nod to the Space Age AV-32 and AV-34.
Nice I love these and the classics! By far my favorite alarms. this is my favorite video.
Nice! Your lucky to be the first collector to have one of those!
TechP2018 My School has a System Sensor P2RL
Same Same Same
This is my favorite video of yours I absolutely love L series
I got the P2RL. It’s an awesome alarm
My school’s fire alarm system is getting replaced. It used to have Simplex TrueAlerts/QuickAlerts and Simplex Single Action pull stations, but they are getting replaced with System Sensor L-Series and either Notifier or Firelite pull stations (idk which brand). They have yet to replace the panels, along with the other remaining Simplex alarms and pull stations. Also, the weatherproof devices are a SpectrAlert Advance and a 6 inch Potter bell. I have a feeling the Advance will just be replaced with another Advance, but idk what they are doing with the Potter bell yet. Also, the reason behind the system getting replaced is because the school got struck by lightning, which made the original fire alarm system no longer functional. We haven’t had a fire drill yet for that very reason.
I like the interchangeable strobe color and bracket plates!
They already have the L-series horn/strobes in the renovated cafeteria/dining hall at my college's Student Center (Notifier AFP-200 system) and in some stores at our local mall (Notifier NFS2-3030 system.) And my aunt's high-rise has the speaker/strobe version (another NFS2-3030 system, replacing a conventional Notifier system from the 90s with Wheelock MT4-24-WM horn/strobes.)
Cool! I realized that the smaller one has the system sensor classic design and the bigger one is more like a spec-advance™ Design

@@MaryGarcia-yd9wp Wdym?
do they have a outdoor version or a strobe only or a horn only? where did you get them?
I’m getting a system Sensor CHSRL (l-series chime strobe) and will it sound different than the the spectralert advance chime strobes?
Awesome! Not too surprised they used the same tone as the previous Advance series.
firefreak57 i am suprised they used the same old tone
they do look really cool though. They are bringing back the spectralert classic design kind of:)
cool! do you think that they will install these instead of the Spectralert Advance?i hope not.
Can't wait for the Low Frequency versions
whats the model of the accesories you got for them. Like the colored strobes and trim plates.
i love how you can change the alarms
I really like the new alarms!
1:58 the thinner one can also be used in compact spaces. (for example in between a door and a wall)
They look........ Interesting. Very original design.
These alarms are very cool. I like the design and the ability to easily change the strobe lens; that's a really good idea. Maybe they'll make an LED model in the future? Although I'm surprised at such the low current draw for a xenon strobe; certainly a first in that respect. I also like how they revived the 3000hz tone from the classic.
Probably in 2027 or 2030 there will be a LED System Sensor Notification Appliance
There is a LED model of the L series!
Very good horn strobes (and video)!
I was in a hotel in Utah and they had the L series of alarms (the flush mount version)
Awesome video! How did you get all of those alarms?
How do you get these? Did you email them or did they reach out to you? Cool video, by the way!
AMAZING!
So pretty much another Spectralert Advance you should do a comparison of both the L series and Spectralert Advance
Do you know the name of the strobe covers? (As in SpectrAlert PC2R.)
I just got the SPSRL and the P2WL-LF!
We have the p2rl at my school. But there is only one of them. We have specter alert advances, wheelock as and ns, and the Edwards 892b
The p2grl can be flushed mounted as well. The small one can be better with the small back boxes but as with the p2rl, it can also be on a small back box as well. But I seem to see the small one kinda useless
My local target used to have regular spectralert advance ceiling mounts, but now they have ones similar, but now they're larger and have the horn just like these. Are they the L series perhaps?
Y
My dad's office building suite was forced to upgrade to a whole new fire alarm system this year they got these horn strobes in each of the offices and than spectralert advances wall mount in the hallways and they synced well together couldn't tell the difference between the two
Do a demonstration on how would you wire a wheelock safe path 4 to the ms-9200udls.
Love the covers strobe l series’s
Also, I LOVE the new blue box.
I love you fire alarm guy
I love you fire department
A
Love it 😍
i love the design
Temple 3 3k sounds like a smoke alarm 🚨😁❤️👍
Annnnnndddddd I want it. lol you have gotten so much better at editing!!! I love your videos!
Agreed
I never knew you were a fire alarm guy as well!!
I love this video,it is so interesting
Why would you need a different color strobe for an agent release alarm? Usually an agent release would be triggered because of a fire suppression system, so the agent alarm would sound in the event of a fire as the fire suppression system activates.
Its like spectralert advance and spectralert classic had a child
Where did You buy it I have checked the system sensor website
I wonder if multiple units being coded on a Sync•Circuit (R) would make the long initial burst before synchronization, like the Advances...
It doesn't happen anymore on those. They fixed that issue with the 2 blasts.
It'd be cool to mount the smaller one on the spectralert classic plate
WOW........THAT IS SO COOL!!!
This is super cool 👍😎😎👍
I have these l series in my apartment complex..horn strobe and horn only hooked to a silent knight ifp-100 addressable panel with sk photo smoke/heat detectors... they sound exactly like the regular p2r advance but louder lol
What would an alert rss strobe with a yellow cover at an army college be meant for
That's A Cool Alarm
The tones are a mix of the system Sensor spectralert classic and spectralert advance.
Can you test it with the simplex fire panel
What is the model number on the 3rd box? My son wants one for his birthday
Wow! Awesome! Those are super cool!
Thank you!! I agree!
Me too!
THATS SOOOOOOO COOL
Where do you get the letter brackets and lenses
Why is the L-series a bit quieter than the Advance even though the sound is the same?
I love these fire alarm coding
Nice! I was wondering when they were going to release new alarms.
Builder the Mixed-Up Files can you come and get me give me one of those alarms
@@carmengonzales3661 Ebay is where you'll find them. Don't just ask people for alarms.
Jkkkkii
JBFire9086 m
It sounds like a Spectra-Alert advanced (the first snd 2nd tone) the 3rd and 4th tone sound like a Mircom alarm
Smoke detector alarm with that high pitch
I love it 😍
It sounds like the advance it's very very loud
What is the name to the sand at the very end of the vidieo
Cool! I have the p2Rl
So cool!!!
How do you remove them when you no longer need it?
When were these introduced?
I dont know how to order those.
Can you help me?
My dads office suite these in all office suites and they got the small ones flush mounted to the wall
I like the one with the word fire
wait. is the l series the replacement for the advance series?
or does it replace the classic series?
It replaces MOST of the advances, notice how some of the advances are discontinued and some are not.
I just got a white one Yesterday!!!😊
That is awesome
5:19 the horn seems like it's trying to be a kidde smoke alarm ripoff
Thinh Le 3.1KHz
It sounds like spectralert advance
@@oofernoobynoob6866 and similar to the the classic
@James Upchurch listen at 5:19
What is the Greensboro for
Nice!
3:56 - Let's say you didn't want a fire alarm, you wanted an agent release alarm. Watch this. Take an "agent" cover stick it on, snap it in, it just snaps right in and BOOM! You have an agent alarm.
MIND BLOWN!!!
(This was only meant to be a joke. I hope you found it funny!)
where do u get these?
Yeah like it sounds like that, I love the strobe and the covers for the alarm. Nice thing!
3:17 Do you know where I could get those?
Wrong, the thinner ones are not specifically designed for surface mounting. They are simply meant for mounting on single gang boxes, just like how EST makes single and double gang Integrity strobes.
He said the thinner ones are for mounting on a Single gang back box
Is it as loud as the original spectralert advanced?
Yes but a bit less quiet and smoother pitch while the advance is more louder and more choppy pitched
Is like a Spectralert Advance but with a different design and more tones
How do you get demos do you get them free
3:56 those things are used to make the alarm a "Different" alarm.
COOL!
thats a HUGE bag for 4 screws :O
Where/How did you buy these?
How'd you get these? I want one and can't find any anywhere!
He doesn't have any blue point stuff. You're thinking of another person on RUclips.
firefreak57 It is on ebay.
firefreak57 LOOK ON AMAZON AND TYPE SYSTEM SENSOR P2GRL or SYSTEM SENSOR P2RL
It's like a spectralert advance but it's not really an ear killer and it has a kidde smoke detector sound
I Want to get those SO Bad!!!
The first tone sounds exactly like the SpectrAlert Advance what the second tone is not sure.
Gary Beltz I think it sounds like the SpectrAlert Classic and second generation's 3000 Hz setting
Gary Beltz Kind of sounds like a gentex gx90
You should review the new LED L-series
What does agent mean?
