I prefer to slowly upgrade size instead of making a big jump from 77 to 98. Because I know that once I go to 98 there’s no going back and it may take time to get flagships at that size. So I’m going for 85 Bravia 9.
That’s a really great idea that I can back up because once I got a 77” OLED I started to look at 65” like it was 55” lol it’s definitely harder to adjust, thankfully nothing larger than 77” yet for me.
This will be my last jump for the living room because I’m installing in wall speakers and they will be placed based of of the 98 inch
Bravia 9 price is now coming into range that some people may consider buying now.😊
It was only a higher price for a month? They just started with a ridiculous price so that now it feels like a "deal".
It's just the price it should have been at launch. It's still 2x the price of its competitors
Ima wait til black friday
KG’s videos get better and better
I appreciate you saying that! I got a long way to go before I’m to the standard I hope to be at.
As always comes strictly down to two main factors what is your Main use and what Environment will you be viewing it in? People over complicate it by leaving their decisions in the hands of everyone else but themselves and their life/living situation and budgets.

can you review sony bravia 8?
I plan to soon yes
B8 vs A80L?
@@faultless18 lol b8? better lg c4 vs sony bravia 8 or samsung s90D vs sony bravia 8
@@ainajoe5874 I should’ve put sony B8 lol
Bravia 8 if it’s close enough in price the new additions and features are great and it’s about a 10% bump in brightness
Quantum TV ripped you a new one in his recent video.
I watched both reviews, and did not see KG bum rap the Samsung at all, he just did them as they came out of the box, which frankly, I think 75% of the people who buy an Oled will do !!! I also think Quantum, is a “little”, biased when it comes to Samsung !!!
@dougnykel7693 This is what qantum tv does every year! Picks a tv makes out it's the best!! this year it's qd oleds, the fan boy's fight over it. He gets veiws and comments and then they fall for he's settings, silly fan boys
@@OUTANDABOUTTHAILAND.Exactly dude those fans are like, what are they? Human? I don't get it. They pay for that. Lol
You think G4 is better than A95L? Nahhhh
The 85inch Bravia 9 is hands down the best HDR experience I’ve ever seen
thru all the blooming you mean and dull contrast?
@@DavidR-e7e Sorry my 85 doesn’t bloom dull you mean oled my tv eats the competition for lunch!
@@DavidR-e7e Doesn’t Bloom sorry it beats all Oleds in just about every category except pure black.
@@DavidR-e7e I'm sorry to hear about your optic deterioration. Hopefully you can undergo a procedure so you can one day see correctly.
Thats it I have to jump in, tired of the sony kool aid promotion, the bravia 9 is not the second coming of christ and its overpriced compared to the competition. Its a great tv but compared to the TCL qm851 and the hisence u9n these tvs are brighter than the bravia 9 and can beat it in some scenses in HDRl.
Those of us that have bought the Bravia 9 all say the same thing "Get this TV!!!" It is absolutely epic!
It’s definitely a TV deserving of that praise.
You should come to China, here we have a mini-led that can compete with B9 and way cheaper.
The X11H from TCL.
That is the true flagship of TCL, not the QM851G which is a step down.
The X11H has over 10k dimming zones at the 85 inch version, 6500 nits.
Obviously, I do understand you can only compare with TVs that are for sale in your country.
I wouldn't give up picture quality in exchange for a larger screen size...PQ is the most important thing for me...I'd rather have a more accurate 65" TV then a less accurate 98" display...people talk about the immersion but what's the point if it's not accurate
Would you rather watch Aliens on a 100" in Laserdisc or on a 55" in Blu ray? I hear the same excuses/ rationalizations over and over. Never go smaller.
Saw a Hisense Mini-LED at my local Best Buy. It's very impressive with eye popping brightness, very good viewing angles and deep, deep black levels. The demo that it was running looked great and reallly popped. Cant wait to see what the Bravia 9 can do. I have a Sony A95K which is excellent but if I was in the market now, the choice between an OLED or a Mini-LED might be tough
I wish their is a 98“ Bravia 9 ❤
It be like $20,000 if there
Thanks, good info. Despite the price drop on the B9, I would still suggest patience. IMO the B9 is overpriced and I don't think everyone is sold that it's a true flagship after several years of OLED and QD-OLED. Sony will eventually lower the price to move units.
Agree 100% 👍
No, it's not overpriced and it is an extremely good flagship. It can do things that not a single OLED TV out there (regardless of the OLED tech it uses) can hope to accomplish. It gets far brighter than any OLED and destroys every OLED OLED for any really bright movie, the contrast is superb with pretty much no noticable blooming outside of situations that were made to make OLED shine (like stars against a black backround, but even then it's minimal) and it's durable with pretty much no chance of burn in (and yes, even the best modern OLEDs still don't survive more than 2-3 years for the heavy duty users like me before getting burn in).
OLED is probably the best choice for most at that price point, but the top-end LEDs (and especially the Bravia 9) still have some major advantages over OLED. That said, I wouldn't recommend anyone to actually buy a TV when it releases. Prices tend to drop significantly 6-12 months after release. Buying a discounted top-end model from the last year is almost always still better than buying a newly released high-end model that's offered at the same price point as that discounted slightly older top-end model.
@@thenonexistingheroThe B9 isn't "overpriced" do to it's deficiency in any area, but more so that TCL and Hisense are offering cheaper alternatives at larger screen sizes.
Even if the B9 may be the best LCD ever made, that doesn't absolve Sony from being able to read the room and price their products accordingly.
To the average Joe, it doesn't matter if Sony is the best when he can get a 98 inch TCL for half the price of an 85 inch B9.
@@logicwins3492 Except the fact is that they don't offer cheaper alternatives, the B9 is lightyears ahead of them. That's like saying that no one will buy a Ferrari because you can get a bigger Opel for much less money.
The B9 isn't made to appeal to the mass market who buys something based on size alone, it's made to appeal to a niche market who is willing to pay the price for the best that LED has to offer and for whom OLED just isn't quite it.
Yea I have the 85 and it’s a monster
What available 98-100" tv has the best reflection handling? We want a giant tv for our bright living room. Hoping to stay under $4000-5000. Currently have the 85" QN85B which is terrible for glare but we didn't like the rainbow on the QN90B at the time. Thanks for all the great content.
Thanks KG for the FYI.😊
Appreciate you keeping us updated on these price drops! Waiting to see if the Bravia 9 drops a bit more 🔥
My guess is Black Friday will have the best deal on the Bravia 9 and if you can wait longer, the week before the super bowl next year
@@lpromer4796 Yup! That's the plan! Being super patient on this one 😌
It’ll be interesting how Sony approaches Bravia 9 price drops for Black Friday because sometimes they don’t drop the flagship level as much but we will see since they technically have 2 flagship level TVs with the A95L being their other
Bravia 8 is amazing just got it two days ago
I have no doubt about that I reviewed the A80L and it’s great

Hey man, I love seeing your little bubble in the corner of the screen. You should make it a smidge bigger for phones 😁 great video!! I'm hoping I can see a larger price drop on the Bravia 9 for black friday

@@TechWithKG honestly it's great having a face to the channel. Adds some humanity to it 😁
@@SpencersStuffTVdefinitely hearing that feedback quite a bit I’ll have to make an appearance more often I have quite a few videos and live streams with facecam A roll but it’s always a balance since I’d rather mostly show the TVs but I do keep hearing feedback to do the opposite and just sprinkle in tv footage. May just need to slowly experiment with different approaches to this. Thanks for the feedback.
@@TechWithKG I definitely understand that. I'm working on finding the same balance on my channel. It's hard 😂
Best of luck! I know sometimes it’s not as easy as just “wanting to press record” we all get in our own head way too easily unfortunately. It gets better with time though.
The bigger TV isn’t better. Lower pixels per inch would make the picture too pixelated and can see the flaws of picture processing more.
It really depends on viewing distance or else we would all only have 32" 4K monitors
I have the TCL 98s550g and it looks amazing! I sit about 15' away. Really shocked at how good it upscales RUclips TV
@@johnlegg6661 How does that prove anything when you sit far away? I'm not trying to make a point, I'm genuinely wondering. Unless you meant 15 inches?
@@asole100 I was just giving my opinion on a bigger tv. Saying you're not seeing pixelation from regular viewing distance
Really depends on how close you sit
I sit 7 1/2 ft from my tv in my master bedroom where I have a 65 inch Sony 900E...it's time to update but don't think an 85 inch will fit...but a 75 will.
Which tv you targeting?
@@TechWithKG Sony B9 75 inch; still don't trust OLED
Notice that all those new Bravias are on sale EXCEPT the 77" Bravia 8. Hmmmmm. What's up with that? lol
No idea but no one should be buying any 77” OLED not named S90C at the current price it’s at.
I'm just so bummed the Bravia 9 doesn't come in 55" or that the Bravia 7 has such poor viewing angles and reflection handling.
55” G4 solves this problem
@@TechWithKG If price and gaming aren't factors would you still recommend the G4 over the A95L at that size?
Yes G4 is my go to pick for movie & tv watching at this moment for OLED TVs
Having just got the 65QN90C last year… I can say it’s def a really good tv IF you get it on sale!! 🎉. I paid $1500 plus No sales tax (military) however I really wish I had waited and gotten the 75/85”! They have the 75qn90C for about $1799 plus no tax and I think I woulda been a lot happier with the larger screen (10+ viewing distance)! 🎉. The 85QN90C was almost $3g when I got my 65, but since I didn’t get the 75”, I can’t help but want the 85” now. :/ so I’ll have to upgrade sooner than later but at least this tv will become the main room tv once I go up in size. 🎉
Hello Bro, I'm from India 🇮🇳 and I waiting for your Sony Bravia 8 Vs LG C4 Or Samsung S90d Video !!
I love KG channel but that guy Quantum is making ranting videos about this channel. He can't make videos without mentioning u. Lol
KG should stick up for himself and respond. I hate it when people don't stick up for themselves and allow themselves to be publicly abused. Anyway, RUclips internet drama is always good for everyone involved in the end. Every single time Quantum TV was having videos made about him and about how crazy he is, his channel would get a huge bump in subscribers. Stick up for yourself KG, hit back.
$3000 65" bravia 9 or $2500 85" tcl qm851g?
75" is 4800 CAD plus 13% tax :(
The demos that they run on QM8 and Hisense tvs at the BestBuys in Nashville always have jagged edges, like they are low res.
SMH is it different from the content they usually run? Hisense has some insane HDR demos there’s one with a samurai lady that is sick I can never find it anywhere.
Great video KG keep e'm coming 🎉
I wanted the TLC 100"" but then I set for Sony B9...then I cancel all and set for the G4 83"" and I am happy camper.
I looked at the 83 G4 it has vertical banding in the middle of the screen.
@@NexGenTek they can have this just as LCD can as well both LCD and OLED can have unforgivable amounts of DSE and screen uniformity issues. Your playing panel lottery with most TVs in some degree.
Glad you made a choice that ultimately found you happiness just don’t second guess it enjoy that awesome TV 🎉
Practically giving them away
The 85" Bravia 9 in the UK is the equivalent of $6300. This model, sizing, and pricing is a huge error by Sony in the current financial climate, especially not selling below 75" outside of the US.
That part about the 85 inch model being the equivalent of $6300 is a not really correct. That's only if you do a straight up conversion, but things in the UK are more expensive, income on average in the UK is higher and that price includes 20% tax. In the US tax is lower, but it's also not included in the $5500 price. If you deduct the tax then it's actually cheaper than the US price without tax. Including tax... well, it differs in the US per state, it probably averages around 10% so let's say it would be close to about $6000 if you do include tax. So if you include all the other factors... the price of both is actually relatively equal.
Over the 'general' population, I'd say that in the UK it could be considered to be a bit cheaper. But the UK is also much more limited in terms of how much you can earn. In the US doing any job that requires some actual skill + experience tends to pay a whole lot more money than an equivalent job in the UK (or most of Europe for that matter), so in the US anyone with an actual good job would be able to easily afford a TV like this.
To be honest with you, I was at Best Buy the other day with a sea of OLEDs (never seen that before) and I have to say the X93L is plenty for most folks. Heck, the X90L next to the S90C and A80L made it impossible to buy either of those. I actually saw the S90C next to the G4, S95D, and QN90D and it fared better against those than the X90L, if you can believe that.
In fact, I thought the S90C was a fantastic bargain next to the S95D and G4 and I was considering against buying but then I saw it next to a X90L and I thought "oh god, what's going on here?". I had to triple check that it was the S90C because I just could not believe my eyes. The X90L just applied so much more brightness to elements that both the S90C and A80L, while spectacular alone, looked underpowered. If I hadn't seen that, I could have lived with the A80L and S90C - if the A80L had a heatsink, I'd take it over the S90C because of the extra detail and the image just looks right to me.
Crazy that I would look at 20 OLEDs including the A95L, G4, G3, S95D, S95C, C4, C3, A80L and I'd shocked by the X90L.
The brightness of B9 is only 10% of the screen and not the whole screen my friend. G4 is bright enough.
Bright enough sounds sad
That price is way too high for any mini-LED, there's no justifying it when it's only 65 inches.
That's exactly how I feel. The S90C 83" was
Sony processing
@@randomhumanonearth777 The X90L had the same processing the higher end models had, and not even the X93L had it. I don't think that's a real excuse when the X90L doesn't really cost that much.
@@asole100the difference between X90L and BRAVIA 9 is night and day, not an overstatement.
The Bravia 9 is worth every penny. This thing is competing with the best OLEDs from LG and Samsung, and it's doing so at a lower price.
Qm8 2024 ❤
4800 for a mini led Sony tv is still too much good grief. Wait for the U9H
I’ll, wait until the Bravia 8, in a 65 inch, come down too $1798, before I pull the plug !!!
You’ll be waiting a long time
Black Friday
KG I am gonna have to disagree with you on the Samsung oleds. So many people are getting them bent and scratched to shit.
Really? I haven’t heard this at all, last time I heard of bent panels was S95B, if any screens are scratched it’s usually the Sony OLED TVs because for some reason they don’t put a peel on the whole screen. They have less protection than the flagship lcd which I still find odd lol.
Reason I cant buy the B9 85" but want to are: Blooming, contrast, no blackness, off angle viewing so I guess its LG G4 83 OLED this year.
Lmao people are returning the G4 for the B9. Just to dim and non impactful
Sorry to hear about your optic damage. Perhaps you can one day receive a procedure to correct your eyesight.
Bro… You pumped up a tcl q6 like it was amazing and downplay the picture quality and say it’s no slouch. Then you get to the Bravia nine which is arguably the best LCD ever made and immediately say it’s not on par with OLED. You hype up a mid range TV and say the inferior picture quality is totally not that big of a deal, but then when you start discussing the best LCD that has ever been made you immediately go negative and say it’s not on par with OLED.
I get that you prefer OLED, and your assessment is correct that it cannot compete with pixel level illumination, but you seem to have a bias against Sony for some reason. The tcl is bigger but it’s not on par with the Sony b9, not even close. But you position it as amazing. Then you position the Sony as not as good as oled. Everyone of entitled to their own opinion, but can you at least stop pretending to be giving an objective analysis.
You consistently frame Sony TVs as not as good as something else. Then when you were reviewing other TVs you talk about their strengths.
I don’t know if you realize you are doing it or if it’s intentional, but it makes it difficult to see you as someone who’s giving an objective review. Because this is a pattern with you
Rtings said it wasn't on par with oled as well
@@johnspelman8976until rtings can give some consistency and how they score and rank TVs that means nothing to me. And it not being on par with OLED was not my point. My point was he positioned a far inferior TV as great, but then when he got to the best LCD ever made he immediately downplay how good it is by comparing it to OLED.it’s disingenuous
@@johnspelman8976rtings doesn’t even watch content on the TVs they just run test patterns and then give some arbitrary score. For example, when they first reviewed the Sony X95K they said the contrast was mediocre. Then they changed their testing methodology and said it’s contrast was out of this world good. Same TV, contrast is something that can be seen objectively without using test patterns. But they said it had mediocre contrast one day and then the next day said it was amazing. Can’t be both so there opinion means nothing
I don't think KG has a bias against Sony at all. He gave the A80L and A95L glowing reviews, devoting entire videos to both TVs.
Unfortunately, IMO Sony didn't do the best job of educating the general public of the benefits/use cases for the B9 as opposed to cheaper TCL or Hisense Mini-LED alternatives.
When you charge a premium for a non-OLED TV, that comes with the responsibility to explain why a premium is being charged.
As a result, KG is in an unfair position where he's trying to temper expectations.
@@jogo8261 being the best led ever made (not convinced this is it) still isn't as good as oled, and the price is ridiculous. But sony has rightly figured out that the fanboys will pay whatever Sony charges
Great video! It's hard for me to recommend the Bravia 9 65" at $2,999.99. If you play your cards right, you can get several 83" or smaller OLEDs for less. YMMV on stock, but the C3 83" is currently $2599 or so in store at Best Buy. I'd take an 83" OLED over a 65" Mini LED any day of the week. I love forward to your future videos!
