Some really good ideas. Here's one update though, take a picture of your passport, credit cards with phone numbers, and prescriptions and save to the gallery on your phone. That way they're always at your fingertips.
Making a copy of my passport and emailing it to myself has saved me so many times! Recently used it at a train station in Madrid when purchasing tickets at the desk. Great tip!

You can wear baseball caps but not in a restaurant or someone's home (my Dad's pet peeve!!!(In the Netherlands especially)
