I’m so glad you talked about how therapy is a great way to work through self esteem, because a lot of times working through the childhood stuff is what helps. and getting support and confirmation from people you trust helps too. All of these are such great tips!
thank you! I have been struggling with my business for a while and basically barely make any jewelry now but now I have the courage to do more thank you :)
@@CreativeHiveCo I truly appreciate you. I've been so busy between work and orders, I still haven't logged into the program. I'm taking some time off next month to finally dig in. 🙌
Amen! lol I don't have huge followings at all but I still make some sells and I'm okay with that because I don't want to get to over loaded in custom orders lol. So sorry IG sucks for small biz's!
Thanks for your encouragement! I’ve been close to giving up. It’s been almost a year with only a handful of sales. I’ve reached out to RUclips people and I even had an article in a magazine. I’ve done Facebook promoting to gain subscribers and I am focusing on that. It’s so easy to do the craft you love but the marketing is so hard.
It can be, and I know it can be frustrating. Just keep going! I'd also love for you to check out my upcoming workshop if you haven't yet! creativehiveco.com/profit

Great video! I definitely agree about the pricing. I used to sell my items pretty cheap when I first started selling at conventions then I slowly raised my prices over time to see if I could get more. I still ended up selling just as much. One year I even made my product a bit smaller since I wasn't happy with the size and shape anymore, but I still charged the same amount. I did have one person come up and call me a greedy jerk for charging the same amount for a smaller product, but in the end they still sold out. Not caring what people think is also very hard for me, but I find that I do benefit greatly when I ignore them. One artist who I really admired decided to openly harass me on social media one day completely out of the blue. I honestly didn't think they even knew I existed, but they went on a rant on some post I made and it made me so depressed. Some time later, I looked back on their social media that day. Turns out, they had a huge fight with their landlord and were being evicted from their apartment. So they were dealing with personal issues and decided to take their anger out on me. I lost all respect for that artist and stopped following them. Not worrying about what a handful of mean people say is the best advice for a starting business owner!
That is so awesome about your pricing!! Doing what you need to do for your business to make it the best you can is definitely the way to go, and the results clearly paid off for you!
@@CreativeHiveCo I started making some videos of my products when I first started my small business then I stopped. I know there is lots to improve on! Your videos have given me lots of tips!
You make excellent points, almost the same points I’ve made to myself when talking me out of my funk. My business is less than 6m old and I did a couple of craft shows. They were 💩! And I can’t get my mind on straight. Maybe my prices are too high? I personally think they’re not high enough but I’m biased of course. I don’t know what part of my business to fix first so… I’m fixing nothing. I’ve sort of ignored my business and don’t know what to do and how … any advice please?
Hi ShayRoco! Thank you so much for watching! ❤️❤️ Maybe you need to look into the Marketing side of your business.
