Hi Roger. I like the look of the kit, but I was wondering if the bearings are angular for axial forced at 16:55? Same for the rest?

Great job on your videos Roger. It seems the spindle will be a massive overhang from the gantry. Can you give a measurement from the C-channel to the spindle centerline when you get there? That distance really reduces the total Y-axis availability it seems.

Looks like a large distance from where motor spindle will be and gantry centre point, IE a large moment about the x axis, I know there is a third rail at the rear but could this distance be reduced with a better design?
My thoughts exactly. I will be machining a custom plate for the z axis and removing that extrusion.
The Z plate needs to be rotated of 180°
