I've never had a problem with items using fusible foam separating. Most things will never be washed, and quilting holds the layers together. No pinning, spraying, or using a walking foot. I really love the fusible.
I'm happy to hear that the fusible has worked well for you. I've seen too many bags where the fusible has separated as the bag is used or even just when it's been turned right side out, so I prefer to avoid it.
