It’s always good to have a financial plan. I work with a licensed planner and fixed-income strategist in LA. The fixed income portion of your portfolio won’t simply serve as a buffer to the volatility of the equity portion of your portfolio, but will provide legitimate income

People downplay planner’s role, until they are burnt by their mistakes. That’s why I’ve been working with expert planners like CHRIS RYAN STEWART

Strategy definitely seems solid. I already have 25% allocation in my income portfolio to diversified covered call ETF's such as JEPI/JEPQ/SVOL/TLTW. Might split my JEPI/JEPQ allocations between JEPY/QQQY and see how they perform over the next year and go from there.

Is this Greed? I make 6k weekly from a trader who trades for me, I know this is a good ROI but I still want more, lol its never enough I guess.

in a prolonged downturn, the premiums would be half as much. there is no winning formula, but prefer QQQY

Do these etf's use return of capital? hard to grasp how they managed to payout such a high amount in such short time.

I love it. My question is this; if the etf provides 30% return and the nasdaq doesn’t return 30%, what is the share price gonna do?
Not being a nay sayer or d riding, just curious.

The return your getting off dividend yield isnt exactly correlated to the returns of the underlying stock as your presuming. Their producing their yield through the call options which is obviously dependent on what the share price does but it isnt correlated to the share price directly if that makes any sense. The share price can go down 30% and they can still yield 30% dividends by having successful calls all throughout the month or if the share price goes up 30% they can still yield 30% by having successful calls. So the yield is more dependent on the success of the calls rather than the share price. The only thing the share price of the underlying effects is the share price of the ETF itself, not its dividends. And taking your question in another context I might've misread it, if the NASDAQ doesnt return 30% and the ETF does return 30% annualized, that would increase the value of the ETF heavily because investors would see it beat out the underlying which is always everyones main concern with covered call etf's is they believe just holding the underlying will gain more in the long run. This ETF is set up for a pretty solid win-win situation, its only downfall would be if the fund managers suck at writing calls.

I am not an expert, but I will try to answer your question. You have total return and price return. Dividend yield affects total return, but it does not affect price return.

The ROI is based on 0dtes (options that expire on the same /next day) - the riskiest type of options you can possibly have (and options are inherently riskier than shares to begin with). Its essentially a day trading strategy - you can make 100% - 2000% gains in an hour if you are exceptional, BUT you will make losses, period. So long as your gains are 3x your losses, you are fine. It simply doesn't matter if the underlying security goes up or down, you can make money by going long (calls) or going short (Puts). For most people this is pure gambling and luck BUT there are a FEW, very FEW super 0dte guys I'm sure of it.
By the way, there are only 2 securities that offer 0DTEs - the SPY and QQQ.
These guys must have a team of freaking expert day traders or maybe some kind of AI giving them signals. Bloody dangerous - and I would be very careful putting bigh $$ss into this fund.

You might want to read the prospectus for JEPY and QQQY, they are not selling synthetic cov calls on the underlying, but selling put options on the index that will expire the following day at EOD. Otherwise, good explanation of the cov call ETF. @@Mr_Glock19
