When i was younger I worked at Chick-fil-A and my boss frequently would make Polynesian Sauce Ribs and bring them in for the staff. Besides the fact he didn't remove the membrane, they were quite tasty
🔥🔥🔥🔥 episode Brother, excellent side by side challenge. Shoot set me up with a half rack of the Polynesian my guy ✊🏼🧐! I definitely gotta try this on my next Rack cook. Cheers 👊🏼😎🍻
Gotta admit I never considered using either of those sauces for my ribs, but you have definitely made me consider it for my next cook! By the way, as a fellow LSG 20x42 pellet smoker owner, I think it's fair to say you really can't make bad ribs on it because it's euch an incredible smoker! Thanks again for the super cool videos and looking forward to your next one! P.S. - With the amount of research you always do and the creativity you have, you should do a pastrami video!
I've enjoyed this channel for years, and this made me comment cause the poly sauce reminds of a an old rib joint called the bahooka,Polynesian style ribs. The old food critic Elmer Dills from tv always had good things to say, maybe try digging up this recipie? I've slathered on poly sauce but never came close.
It would be interesting to see you reverse engineer the sauces, Greg. The rib cook looked wonderful--juicy and tender! I wonder if the Arby's was sub par because it is for RB=roast beef? I stopped using any bottled or premade sauces about 40 years ago because 1) sauces are fairly easy to make, and 2) all the crap some people put in them, like corn syrup, too much sugar, preservatives, and additional salt. It just made me happier to make my own.
First TRI Tip I ever put on the pit marinade included Arby’s sauce, tequila mezcal with the worm, A-1 and pepper. It was not Cardiff crack but great for my first time on the pit 30 years ago
Sup Greg, great cook on the ribs brother, maybe see copycat recipes for sauces? Make too many with what on hand, think last BBQ sauce bought was cattleman's Memphis sweet🤔, was cooking on smoke one 4th July, made gallon BBQ sauce and dropped it, was best on pulled pork tho. You really nailed the ribs tho👍, tyvm tc 🍔
Do you ever use A-1 on anything ? I was at Hop-Woo on Olympic & Sepulveda, when they were getting inventory, and they had a box full of A-1. They don't speak English, so I couldn't ask what they use it in.
Thinking of all the fast food sauces.. IMO Taco Bell is the best but you stay "in their zone" Also I had no idea these sauces existed lol. (not that I would buy them, so thanks ! lol )

I loved Loves. Wish it was still around.

LOL! You got me with the thumbnail! Good cook tho.
Cali has had some crazy weather! Welcome to the rest of the country!
Thanks, Greg! Try Chic-Fil-A's honey mustard. Life changing!
Props to you for trying this. Age-old question answered!

Looks good!
Fun video, Greg! I'd try this on the ol' Traeger!

Can't wait to see all of the fast food BBQ rib videos now.
Next video, the whole line-up of Chic-Fil-A ribs. Maybe on chicken?
Recreate Love's with that sauce, please.
I've always wondered how Arby's would work on real bbq.
Those were some good-looking ribs! Dig that pellet grill, too!
Maybe another video using nugget dipping sauce?
I'm buying some of that CFA sauce! Thanks for the video, Greg~
Everything about Chic-Fil-A beats out on Arby's.
Looks great !!

I wonder if you could use the Chic-fil-A's sauce as a base with a Loves Spice addition. Love your straight forward reviews.
😛Thanks Greg!!

Yumm-O!
Chic Fil A for the win! Arby's sauce is slime.
You have room in that smoker for a large aluminum pan of water. Wouldn’t that humidify the inside and help keep the ribs moist?
w0w ! Greg, You made 1 Major Mistake.. Do you Deliver ? NY'r In NC ! Fantastic !
Nice!
Yeah! I remember Loves! Used to live in Oak View when I was a kid, my dad and I would have lunch there sometimes. Thanks for sharing Greg!
I miss Love's. Those glazed ribs were amazing!
I made a Disneyland copycat Polynesian sauce that used Catalina dressing.
That makes since. Once it was all cooked up, the French dressing flavor wasn't as pronounced.
Ah well if we only could bring LOVES back.

How about a rib marinade comparison? Like apple juice/ginger/garlic, citrus & chili pepper, wine & herbs.
Great idea! Thank you, Don!

Hi Greg 👋🏻🤤🍻🇮🇹 wonderful mahogany colour 😍 ... It's my impression or the ribs, inside, are not much juicy❓ Thanks 😅👍🏻
@@brifo5779 The thicker ribs (Chic-Fil-A) were very juicy. The Arby's were not dry, but not as juicy as the other rack.
Add a little heat to that Polynesian sauce, and you're in money!
Never used those but I've used BW3s Caribbean Jerk sauce. Delicious
You should have included Arby’s Horsey Sauce, can’t use one without the other.
I'll have to try the Chic fil a sauce if it taste like Love's. Grew up with Love's BBQ also. Think it was Woodland Hills

I've never had either of those sauces. The ribs do look good. Cheers, Greg! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Thanks for watching, Dwayne!
Chic had a better rack of ribs advantage.
The mic DID pick that up! That first rack of ribs was a real honker, what was the source may I ask? Thanks!
I came here thinking Arby's had ribs. Stayed for the cook.
I wonder what temp they were smoked at.
Next time do an 'Apples to Apples' review. Arby's bbq sauce vs.Chic-Fil-A bbq sauce.
I didn’t even know that Chic Fil A had ribs!
So many things we are finding out right now lol
Do you ever use a combination of MSG and salt when you are salting your ribs before smoking? Don't know where the BBQ world stands
Thinking of all the fast food sauces.. IMO Taco Bell is the best but you stay "in their zone" Also I had no idea these sauces existed lol. (not that I would buy them, so thanks ! lol )
Ballistic using a little clickbait! LOL!
Good to know, thanks!
🙂👍🥂
