Whaaat who said your videos aren’t entertaining? I love watching your videos while I make suits because I enjoy hearing what you have to say, even if I already know the technique :p thanks for sharing info with us!
Another great vid! As an older fur, I actually do appreciate your style. It is cute sometimes to have a fun graphic here, or there, but some use them way too much. I'm very sorry that you received those comments. Apparently, some people forgot the old adage "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". Too many furs see you RUclipsrs and assume this is your full time gig. For some like Pocari, it is. Others don't have that (and not all want it). Sometimes younger furs forget that we older ones actually have lives and responsibilities outside this fandom. :-/ Can't wait for your series!
fun fact: plenty of animals have claws that don't touch the ground at rest. cat and dog feet specifically have the claws angled upwards (with cat claws not touching most things unless unsheathed), specifically to keep them from wearing down over time from being dragged along the ground.
Sockspaws can work outside if you put a layer of foam on the bottom but you kinda need to figure out what press of foam you need. For example 50 pound pressed 2 inch foam takes 50 pounds to compress by (usuallly) one inch. So you need to get a (recommended) 2 inch foam that has a press equal or greater than half your weight as it will give you a larger barrier between your foot and the ground, making it a little less bad for walking outside. I haven’t done this but if I do make sock paws and someone asks for it to be outdoor I’d probably do this. It also gives you more support for your foot and is closer to a slipper than a sock tbh. EVA foam (the exercise mat) is actually just really high density foam and that’s why it’s a good base for feetpaws, as it doesn’t compress much, and makes it more stable than the low density foam.
Ignore the critics. They're just bitter because they can't do better. Your videos are wonderful for reasons they, being critics rather than creatives, can never hope to understand. Those who can, do; those who can't, criticize. Thank you for all your work!
I like your videos. Whoever said they weren't entertaining seems a touch on the rude side. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new fursuit maker videos. I'm thinking about making suits but am a bit concerned about taxes and the nitty gritty about commissions gone wrong, what to look out for. So stoked!
This was so helpful, people don’t talk about feetpaws too much so this helped a ton! Also I personally enjoy how raw your videos are, and it’s really great stuff to watch for background as well as a nice little sit down time for me a week. Love what you do
hey elkdragon, i have a question as a budding maker, instead of fitness mats, can we use those thin yoga mats you see in shops? what about EVA cosplay foam mats? would you recommend a thickness or density level? you've been a huge inspiration to me in becoming a maker, i love all your work and i can't wait to see what you make next
I love Sockpaes so much! They're so cute and small (I personally don't like how big foam paws look) and I actually own Sockpaws but they are SO painful walk in ;_; I also like how clean foam paws look if they weren't so big skhfd
Lupon Scarlet Eye pawpads can be sewn on with a zigzag or appliqué whip stitch. If you want them stuffed, use a pen to push stuffing in before finishing attaching them
Make both then. One lion paw, one bird talon. Your profile suggests you’re a kid, so I recommend waiting until you have enough spare money or make a suit bigger than you so you grow into it. If you’re not a child, aplogies
Your videos are amazing! I love all the information and that’s the most important part! Besides I love listening to them while I make suits it is really inspiring! Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you so much for making all the videos you do!! Even without fancy graphics, the simplistic vlog style with a few diagrams here and there is great to watch or even just listen to and I find conveys lots of information effectively/efficiently. I always get so excited when I see a new video from you- there’s video tutorials and patterns out there, speed creations, that others have made but they don’t quite compare to the type of videos you create. When you talk to us, it seems very genuine, open- you have such a great spirit. Thank you once again. Also a side, do you know of Matrices WIP Zone on Telegram, check it out. Maybe give it a shout out sometime. I find its a great resource for fursuit makers and all sorts of creative endeavors.
im making a cosplay, and this is the perfect video! i have a bit of material, but I’ve never made anything but a head that’s half done (which is sorta kinda abandoned until quarantine is over and I can go to the craft store for more glue and fur -w- )
I've watched your amazingly helpful videos on fursuits for a long time now, and was just wondering if you still have the orange fox head? And also wanted to know if you have the dipper hat too? Awesome video once again elk. Keep improving girl!
Hey Elk! I was wondering on what your opinion was on using fabric such as mink to fur a fursuit, I’m a new maker and I tried using fur but haven’t gotten the hang of it yet so I was thinking about using mink also the animal I’m making is a short haired one so I thought it would work I would just like to know your option and hopefully I can become a maker as amazing as you one day! ♥️
my least favourite part is the feet too lol. My favourite is the tail! I DESPISE making feet because they’re boring to do and the toes are a hassle to sew/glue around and slip it into where it’s supposed to be
I've seen plenty of rabbit and kangaroo feet on fursuits, but most people don't normally make them long because it makes it really hard to walk in. the further away the toes are from your actual toes the harder it is to walk in! you ever try walking in water flippers or shoes that are way to big for your feet? it's kinda like that
Animal jam fox star she does make fursuits. You will never find a maker who will make you a free fursuit. They cost hundreds of dollars to make, not to mention can take over a year.
You’re correct. Even a glance at the supplies makes me think of my budget. Things can, and will be pricey. Time matters. No one will do a fursuit for free with all the effort put into just one piece
Whaaat who said your videos aren’t entertaining? I love watching your videos while I make suits because I enjoy hearing what you have to say, even if I already know the technique :p thanks for sharing info with us!
A tip from me when using the foam toe technique: make a pattern! Draw on some cardboard the pieces for your toes/feet, then it'll be symmetrical

10 seconds in and can tell I’m already gonna love the vid
Sophia Schosha *yes*
Didn't even click yet and could tell im gonna enjoy

Just in time! I swear, you're an absolute lifesaver. I'm obsessed with this suit too!

Whoever said your videos are boring are absolute humans!!! I love your channel.
Your cat is the cutest thing I’ve seen in my entire existence

i know i'm five years late but your suit is amazing! so many colors i love it. your tips also helped me so thanks^^
You don't need lot of fancy graphics because just what you're saying is quality content!
awe, the kissing Toothless and Light Fury are adorable.
Your advice, and experience mean a lot more to me then some flashing pictures on the screen.
I never knew a stuffing method for paws existed! The more you know, the more you don't know. :o
I forgot about the furry fandom to he honest. Nice reminder 👌
Howw lol
chickraptor dino not hearing about it for a long time??”?.
Feetpaws are my favorite part to make! I just love slowly carving square foam into rounded paws idk why
I like your videos. Whoever said they weren't entertaining seems a touch on the rude side. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new fursuit maker videos. Woah! Your fursuit that you wore is amazing! So much colour! Also thank you for this, it is so helpful. Im subbing!

I’m like 80% complete of gathering supplies. I’m going to buy the foam today so I’m soaking up all the advice I can. Thank you.
Love your work!❤️ Hope to commission you one day Elk Dragon😁

If you are wanting a tutorial on a stuffed feet paw. SkyHighstudios has a tutorial about how she makes them.
I love Sockpaes so much! They're so cute and small (I personally don't like how big foam paws look) and I actually own Sockpaws but they are SO painful walk in ;_;

i am not a fur but i love the suits cues i love crafts and cartoon animals
I love your videos! Very chill and informative. Thank you elk
Have you made a video about handpaws? I really want to know more about those, especially the paw pads
Lupon Scarlet Eye pawpads can be sewn on with a zigzag or appliqué whip stitch. If you want them stuffed, use a pen to push stuffing in before finishing attaching them
Ya, I've never make a fursuit. I want to though :P also my fursona has one lion foot and one bird foot, sooo? What do I do?

I know this is from a year agi but i reccomend getting fur online, craft store fur is usually more ex0enive and lower quality
I’m saving up for your premade on your website!
This is the first vid I've watched from u. YOUR HRAD IS VERY BEAUTIFUL AND COLORFUL
I've watched your amazingly helpful videos on fursuits for a long time now, and was just wondering if you still have the orange fox head? And also wanted to know if you have the dipper hat too? Awesome video once again elk. Keep improving girl!
How we make hand paws?
a method my friend does for the toe paws she uses a boot as a base
Hey elk! I only meet your changel about a week ago and your already one of my favorite makers ksks love you (no homo) keep up the good work
love the fur suit you have on!😄
Just a question, do u have to use faux fur for the fursuit head, is say, a fluffy rug with the same texture gonna work to make the fursuit head?
I love watching your videos!
I really enjoy your videos, they are really helpful and now I'm making my first fursuit!❤
Skyehigh Studios has a stuffed feetpaw tutorial!

Karen Dessaules I’m a beginner and I used felt that I got from hobby lobby and for me personally it worked just fine
Adding more pictures and diagrams in your videos similar to this one would make them more interesting ^^
my least favourite part is the feet too lol. My favourite is the tail! I DESPISE making feet because they’re boring to do and the toes are a hassle to sew/glue around and slip it into where it’s supposed to be
Please please please make a video with tips on hand paws. You deffinetly do the best paws and im just looking for tips. thank you for reading!
What about the flat feet like a rabbit or a kangaroo?
Are these common in fursuits?
Or are they rare
I've seen plenty of rabbit and kangaroo feet on fursuits, but most people don't normally make them long because it makes it really hard to walk in. the further away the toes are from your actual toes the harder it is to walk in! you ever try walking in water flippers or shoes that are way to big for your feet? it's kinda like that
@@psybird2641
Maybe swimming would be like the scuba gear flippers
hey I'm making my first full body suit I'm making the feet and do u have a tip for sock paws for the first time
I know I'm late but I need a pattern for the stuffing method. Dose anybody know were to get a free pattern?
Is there anyway i could make a indoor pair of feetpaws, to outdoor feetpaws?
Are there any tutorials for the stuffing method?
Why did i go this long without realising you had a youtube D:
My first feet are going to look interesting
I have a question what sewing machine would you recommend?
Omg hewwo I love ur videos ·0·
Your kitty is so big now! She looks like my cat that is in my pfp
great job! very helpful!
What are your thoughts on first time fursuit makers?
I literally just noticed that you have a white star on you neck qwq
Quick question, how many yards of fur do you use on your feet paws?
My fursona has pink feet and grey on the other side
Yes, your vids are a bit boring, but they are soooo helpful!!! i love getting the info and all the help!! thank you
thank you for what you do
Honestly I’m not a furry anymore but I love these videos because I do want to make a fursuit to sell sometime in the future! 💕
Colorful fursuit uwu
WAIT DID YOU MAKE YOUR FURSUIT
Omg the worst thing about being a fursuit maker is furring everything! I made 2 bases in 2 days lol
Lovely fursuit
I can’t be the only one making a sock paw during the video
Крутое фурсют
I’m gonna use big shoes
Making a footpaw 'base' and 'foundation' would be accurate :)
Sparkledog :3
Why the feet ?
I have outdoor sock paws-
Who made your suit
@¡SpooKai¡ lmao
I dislike making the feet as well. It uses so much foam and fur and just takes forever! Especially when you make indoor feet :/ wack.
when i started watching i saw that syringe filled with bright green liquid lolol
700th like ❤️
DO u make furry if u do make me one😀😀
