@@JFIXX1 thanks JFIXX, yes really I needed one if I want to do repairs also. And is a good price for a 1000w and 3 presets temperature and air flow. The other day I was doing some practice with it on a practice board. Desoldering and soldering back components to understand the right airflow to use and the right temperature. And I can say that I'm really happy with this purchase!
Use a little more flux. Don't pull up on the IC like that. Let the joints get good and shiny. All PCBs are not created equal. You get a crappy one or a real old one and you are pulling up like that on the IC and you may pull the trace up with it. Let it get juicy then it's all easy. There is no one correct way to solder, always do what works for you. I'm just trying to help you avoid creating a bunch of extra work for yourself. Having some bodge wire handy is a good idea but if that's not available go to your parts graveyard and unwind some copper off an inductor or if you need something a little bigger and Ethernet cable is a good source of solid copper wire. A good electronics graveyard/junk drawer is a wonderful thing.

I’ve not seen any reviews of this station that have opened up the case. I wonder what kind of air pump and transformer is used and how it compares to Quick and Atten models.
