라스트의 신곡 'My Lord God Almighty' 는 그들의 미니앨범 「Flying Heart」 의 수록곡 '전능하신 나의 주 하나님은' 의 영어버전이다.
남미워쉽 원곡의 '전능하신 나의 주 하나님은' 은 한국의 많은 청소년과 청장년을 아우르며 오랜시간 그들의 입술로 고백되어온 찬양이다.
한국 CCM의 대표적인 남성 보컬 트리오 라스트 역시 미니앨범 「Flying Heart」 에 이 곡을 수록하며 지난 10년간 한결같이 고백해왔다.

이들 라스트가 열방을 향해 믿음으로 새로운 고백을 외친다.
'오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라'

라스트는 국내에서의 사역뿐 아니라 매년 미국, 호주, 동아시아, 동남아시아 등 여러나라를 방문, 코스타와 개교회 집회, 성시화대회 등을 통해 열방에 복음을 전하는데 노력해왔다.
열방을 향해 나아가기 위해 라스트는 그들이 불러온 찬양을 그 나라의 언어로 번역하는 노력을 해왔다.
그 선교적 노력으로 그들과 하나가 되어 전능하신 하나님을 찬양할 수 있게 되었다.
이번 신곡 'My Lord God Almighty' 는 그 노력의 첫번째 발표물이다.
그들은 '전능하신 나의 주 하나님은' 을 그동안 한번도 시도된 적 없던 영어로 번역, 발표한다.
배우 '김예랑' 이 1차 번역을 맡았고, CCM 사역자 '김브라이언' 이 2차 번역의 수정을 맡아 작업했다.
오래전 많은 선교사들을 통해 우리에게 복음의 불씨가 전해졌듯, 한국의 많은 크리스찬들을 통해 불렸던 이 찬양이 영어권의 크리스찬들에게 다시금 불을 지피는 복음의 불씨가 되길 염원한다.
