    Really well done mate, just looks fantastic. Such a transformation from the start. All the soldiers and little bits of deital everywhere just makes it a great and memorable layout. Nice to see some new rolling stock and also the old stock weathered looks great. Also the weathering on the vehicle's looks brilliant. Even better it was done in time for the show. You deserve a massive round of applause. Well done. ;-)
    Cheers Joe

      Thanks ever so much Joe! Glad you think so :) The Weathered stock is the first of a rake of those new Bachmann WD D Class Bogie Wagons. They are just superb! The weathering really makes them fit in well, just need to do the rest of the stock like them now ;)

    Looks absolutely amazing and don't quite know where to start!! Loving the choice of music and everything plus will look even better once all the stock is weathered up. Good luck with the show!!!

      Thanks ever so much indeed mate! Still can't believe how it's all turned out. Oh yes, stock will certainly be weathered up at a later date :) Don't want to rush it for the show at the weekend, as like the layout I want to take my time on with it. Fingers crossed :)

      Thanks ever so much Mike! Glad you enjoyed those shots. Was amazed how close I managed to get some of the angles to the ones I filmed at the start of the project :) Fingers crossed, getting a bit worried to be honest :p

    Callum, Splendid layout, and great to see it getting so much interest at the show. You had that room bottle-necked, with the enthusiasm that you and your team showed for the exhibit.
    And the effects you have described in your videos worked so much better in reality; the mud looked most impressive!
    Congratulations!

    Hi, I am part way through a Great War layout. I am modelling more the war stuff than the locos as I am very new to model railways. In fact I have only completed one Thomas layout this July but started collecting the parts for my layout months ago. I am modelling a Great War Casualty Clearing Station and so have 00 and 009 scales. It is based on a real hospital in a village at the time they were actually there. I served in the Royal Army Medical Corps so it is important I get that bit right. I am yet to post videos but I have been taking photos as I go along and watched lots of terrain videos from the Terrain Tutor and railway from Everard Junction. Some of the vehicles and soldiers you have will also feature on mine but I am doing a 5 ft by 3 ft board as that is the largest I can fit in my car. I am also doing an exhibition board as I give talks to British Legions on WWI and WWII and I think they will be interested in this too. I will watch your collection of videos. Good job. PS I have subbed :) One thing I have found is that I keep changing my mind as the layout develops and have been adding things which is slowing it's progress.

    Well done Callum. And yes the time step scenes really show the progress. Very impressed. Are the wagons all Roco? The skip wagons are great...there must be a few quids worth om that line up.

      @SDJR7F88  7 лет назад

      Thanks ever so much! Glad you enjoyed it. The tippers are made by Minitrains, though they are to the same moldings as the Roco ones. I dare think how much it all is :p

    I’m no expert on world war 1 (I only play Battlefield 1) ,but the whole premise of this is great. The Mk 3 tank (correct me if I’m wrong) and Little train looks awesome amongst the rest of the trench scenery.

      @SDJR7F88  7 лет назад

      Thanks ever so much mate! Oh yes, I'm a fan of BF1 too :) Glad you like the layout! The tank's a Mk1, and the one on the roads a Mk4. Many thanks indeed! :)

    Hey, the one steam locomotive was from Borsig, a German locomotive. Some are still running in Weißwasser at the Waldeisenbahn Muskau, why do you show that it was an Allied locomotive?

    • @SDJR7F88
      @SDJR7F88  4 года назад

      A number were captured by the allied forces cover the course of the war and used to help out on the WDLR network, much like how the Germans used British and French tanks they captured. There's a great picture of one in a British workshop in for repairs.

      @@SDJR7F88 Yes, I found the picture, really cool, a funfact is that I come from Weißwasser and live only 500-700meters from the forest railroad away
