I saw this episode & she was such a wonderful woman in a really difficult position. I hope she can find the strength to stop allowing her family to mooch off her and focus on building a great financial future for herself and those kids ❤
@@Slugnworm She's kind of allowed to be. She's taking care of her entire family. Including two children with nowhere else to go that have some severe psychological issues given to them by their parents.
The only people that seemed to mooching was everyone but the grandmother. She did say the grandmother helped, but the grandmother is a bit of an enabler, and too good hearted to be harsh.

As someone who had to take in and adopt a family member at a young age, I can tell you financially it's impossible if you don't have at least one close person to help. I had just turned 20 when I got a call about my nephew being born and my sister had signed away her rights as he was immediately transported to the NICU due to withdrawal from several narcotics. It's been two years now and we've discovered a couple health issues with him but he is doing so well. I go without a lot but I honestly don't see it as a sacrifice because he is just the most awesome thing to ever exist. So, I feel for her and I hope for the best. Also in terms of the clothes, if she shopped the deals at children's place or Carter's she could get some massive deals for some nice clothes. Even Walmart is sometimes good if you are shopping clearance.
I remember watching this episode. She’s quite a bit different than many of Caleb’s other auditees in terms of maturity. I genuinely feel bad for her. It seems like she’s been dealt a rough hand, and her irresponsible family isn’t doing her any favors.
Ok a couple of things, and I don't know if that woman will ever see this. If you are fostering even your own siblings, you sometimes qualify for the same financial assistance as people who signed up to foster children not related to them. You can apply and get a certain amount of money per month per child. A lot of relatives don't learn this because they didn't begin their fostering journey through the same avenue as volunteers. Secondly, you can apply for SNAP, WIC, etc.
She actually did start getting her stipend after a few months. If they were removed from her mother for cause and put in her care as, what is called, an "other suitable caregiver". Basically that means an unlicensed foster parent. That said, she should still be paid by the state for those initial months.
I’ve been watching a lot of Caleb Hammer too! I’m addicted. Thanks for mentioning him in your videos. He’s growing quick. This girl was really giving. I liked her.

@@shannonsampson3267 ok. Good point, but she doesn’t clean pools all day. She must have free time during evening to cook and prepare food for a few days at a time. I understand eating out is convenient, but the cost is to much at her current income.
@JML Yes. She should cook dinner and pack a sandwich for lunch every day but I understand her struggle. Most people don't have limitless energy and self control. She is a kinship guardian for her young siblings. I've been a kinship guardian and it was the hardest thing I've ever done.
I just commented the same thing about the people that go on his show, regardless of the decisions they’ve made in the past I still commend them for publicly being humiliated as a wake up call
I have the utmost respect for anyone that takes on another siblings kids to keep them out of foster care. I know deep in my life that I've done it it's a big strain financially but a lot of times it's what's best for the kids to keep them within the family. Don't get me wrong there are great Foster families out there but most kids are going to feel best at-home.
