Another excellent tutorial which serves to increase my level of knowledge of Motion and FCP. Please keep them coming. Excellent tutorial production - certainly the best tutorials on the Internet.

I bought the plugin and it didn't work. Dylan has been there until the plugin has worked and making it clear that the refund was always an option. I've loaded the plugin in the project that I had in mind and not only does it work but it is an awesome plugin. Thanks so much Dylan! Forever grateful :)

Good stuff Dylan I really need to do a deep dive on your Apple motion videos. I’ve been too lazy to make templates.

Another useful tutorial - Thanks Dylan! (And I was misteakinly thinking "Light Wrap" was a mellow form of Hip Hop).

I’m a little confused… the intro shows a light wrap on your body but the tutorial seems to just do a rectangular light wrap? Am I getting something wrong?

I should have explained that a little better! So in Motion you have an "effect source" layer. That layer takes on whatever the shape is of the item you apply it to. So for example, if I had a piece of green screen footage with a person on it, and I key out the background, the effect source would take on the shape of the person that is keyed out. But, the effect source by default is just a big gray rectangle with a down arrow, until it has been applied to something. That's why I added a circle mask at the beginning, just so we could see how the effect was being applied.
So for the intro, I keyed out the background using a plugin called Keyper, and then was able to apply the light wrap effect onto me. Then because FCP doesn't intelligently know what should be wrapping me with light, I had to use a drop zone of the underlying layers.
      Hope that all makes sense!
