He battled cancer for two years, last Feb he was given three weeks to live.He fought for us, his family, to be there for us and for Mum, his wife of 58 years. My father passed away on January 19th 2014. He died from a heart attack and left behind many people including me and my two young brothers. Im only 15 years old and he was always there for me even though he had a drinking problem and we didn't have much he always tried and succeed to be the best dad he could be and I will always miss him, love him and cerish my memories I had with him.
He texted me on the night hours before he died and said "thinking of you". If he had just gone to the doctor any time sooner he could have been saved. Your father's drinking problem was something I'm sure he had difficulty overcoming and I can say honestly that he would want to make sure you do not repeat the mistakes he may have made. As parents, we always, always want more for our children than we had or were able to give them. Remain strong for your siblings. It is a great and difficult responsibility that you have been given and it will be challenging but I can tell by reading your words that you can achieve anything that you can dream.
