No doubt. I'm hoping someone builds an aftermarket chassis for the YXZ someday - would probably even be cheaper than trying to fix all the weak points in my 2016's OEM frame for the type of East coast riding I do.
Just curious what gen gdp portal were you running? Do you think they will ever make a portal that can handle the type of abuse you would give it? Thanks
Awesome buggy. Think I’m going to give it a shot at building one. Couple questions.... Is that fuel cell just a shop made cell with the factory internals swapped to it? Did you use the factory wiring harness and just reroute as needed? And drive shaft , is it a factory length or a custom shaft built for the wheel base you chose ? I built a tube truck chassis for mine but I used the factory base for my blueprint..... after seeing this I’m hooked and ready to build again ....
Hey brother, thanks for checking out the video. The fuel cell can be ordered. I'll check with the builder and ask him where he bought it. Or you can find a fab shop and they can weld one as well. Everything else is factory with the fuel cell except some fuel fittings u can buy at a racing shop. We went to SCP. It is the factory wiring harness. I used my Bounty series driveshaft from @superatv and had it extended from a custom driveshaft shop called PEM in St. Clair Missouri. My wheel base is 102". (Stock is 90"). Good luck on your build!! I hope this answered your question! Check us out and SUBSCRIBE man! We all have these in our group and wheel the heck out of them. Also, check us out on Facebook at SXS Of Missouri. @@SXSVideos Thanks for the reply! Appreciate you taking the time to answer and that was what I was looking for. I’ll keep you updated. I’m sure I’ll have a couple more questions as I go. The videos are awesome man. Keep it up !
You're welcome man and I appreciate that! We are trying our best to get footage out during this time. On top of building a house the country is experiencing a pandemic lol! Feel free to hit me up anytime. If I cannot answer the question I'll at least point you in the right direction. I'm excited to see your build!
Yes! That is what I'm more excited about! The builder is being pretty quiet about his new build. It'll only be a few months before he gets another one together.
@@SXSVideos I'm in Florida and of course people down here just play in the mudd and no need for full chassis...BUT I'm starting to get calls for them because they are starting to race more..so I own a fab shop but I haven't built a full chassis yet only cages for drag cars..I've been talking with justin at rzr sharp but not getting any answers..I'm looking for shop to buy chassis from and one that knows what they are doing..so I'll get ahold of him..thanks and great videos man...I'll be at windrock in August for the races..
@@jeepincrawl5349 he's the only guy I'm aware of. I would ask around in the X3 groups on Facebook. It's too bad the X3 frame is so dang weak. It's the perfect wheelbase and does great hill killing. I would look into CT Race Works. I'm pretty sure they are the leader in frame stiffeners.
That’s a badass rig...
Sure thing man!! My favorite rig!
No doubt.
