I'm glad you featured this. Alamang is survival food for Filipinos. You can preserve it or use it fresh. Truly a god given gift from nature. I'm happy that Bataan fisherfolks are keeping with tradition. Some say "You are, What you eat" and i agree. Our food culture is so diverse. From pre-colonial era up to the colonial era. I hope many Filipino youngsters today watch this kind of videos. It's both informative and patriotic at same time. Sorry for blabbing so much. This is my first comment on your videos and i'm quite anxious. I subscribed and left you a like. I wish you luck and success.

    3. Fresh alamang sauteed in oil with garlic, onion and tomatoes
    3. Tortatang alamang
    4. Tortang talong with beaten eggs with alamang

Nostalgia hits. In the southwestern part of Cebu where I grew up, we call this Uyap. My mom was an Uyap vendor and this vid brings me back to the 90s when it was still abundant. Uyap is also the bait used by fishermen using hook and line. We cooked it almost the same way erwan does, we just added "iba" or kamias, and some pork (yung taba).

Correct traditional way of cooking bagoong you got there, except for the oinions amd tomatoes.I only sautéed it with garlic but I used oil coming from bits of pork belly.Fry it until crunchy, then
    Sauté the fermented (in vinegar)bagoong with garlic.And that’s it!😉👍👍👍

Masarap ang permented shrimp paste lagyan ng sinamak (spicy vinegar) or just kalamansi.
Tortang alamang with just eggs, flour, garlic, onion, bell peppers, black pepper, sugar.

Just a quick question, did you put any chili 🌶️ in that recipe? Because at the end I didn’t see any chili added but on the finish product there was specks of chilies 🌶️… 🤔🤔🤔 but looks delicious and very fresh. Wish we could buy fresh krill here in Los Angeles. So I could do this delicious recipe.
