I love ike's portrait in this game. A lot of the characters get these subtle changes that make them look believably 3 years older and then Ike has aged like 10 years all the sudden.
@@SivSafari For me it's the other way around. I played Radiant Dawn first, so now that I started to play Path of Radiance it shocked/annoyed me how he looks like a kid
3 years is more than enough time for someone in their late teens and early 20’s to get buff as fuck. Hell, 3 months even is enough to see results. Not only that, but he’s supposed to look more like his dad as time goes on.
I was literally screaming with excitement as soon as i recognized Rolf and Shinon, this cutscene was awesome despite the bad voice acting, i did not see it coming. To me, Ike became cooler 3 years later.
This makes no fucking sense. If Ike had such a hold over the common people of Crimea, why didn't somebody as politically adept as Bastian realize that he could be used to calm the populace and stop the rebellion before it starts.
Ike and the rest of the Greil mercenaries were in hiding during the three years after the end of PoR, so basically they only appeared when someone allied with Elincia was being threatened.
This is late but I don't think it's a good idea. I mean, it's a rebellion started by the nobles of Crimea, so Elincia, as the queen, should deal with it. If she has to rely on Ike and company to deal with this, how could the people see her as their capable monarch? Same reason why at the end of it, Elincia refused to contract Ike's mercenary to deal with the rebel remnants and ordered the Royal Knights to do that instead. Ike being a great figure surely doesn't help either as he might overshadow her. Plus, the rebellion happened in the first place, in part because of Elincia's fault too. I think she was, perhaps a bit too lenient. Just my opinion. Still, seeing Greil Mercenaries kicking ass is hella great!
Have you not played this game? It's explained in it, Bastion wanted the uprising to happen. It's so he could root out the ambitious and dissident nobles who resented their new ruler and the alliance with the Laguz she formed but were afraid of his influence over the country. That's why he left for Daein, to bait them out, and why he hired the Greil mercenaries, to act as insurance in case Elincia proved unable to stop it. In the end he succeeded in his goals, the uprising happened and Elincia was strong enough to stop it. Ike just intervened to safe Lucia when it wasn't strictly necessary, probably because he already figured Elincia had already succeeded and Lucia dying wouldn't change anything and possibly to stay in Bastion's good graces.
Oh yeah... I remember the beastmen (though I forgot their called laguz), but I completely forgot about the Black Knight guy... I don't think I've ever truly found out about their character though. :p
"Form up, surround them all" *cuts to Titania casually hacking them to pieces*
Such a great cutscene. Such a truly dreadful voice for Mist.
Reminds me of an 80s/90s anime dub.
I wish they would remaster both games and hire a respected company like Funimation to do the voice dubbing.

Puberty hit him hard
It's not hard to build that type of muscle mass in Ike's line of work.
I always hated how buff he got, but it's grown on me since the smash inclusion.

It is my personal head cannon that a little later, Ludveck was hanged on the same gallows that his followers tried to execute Lucia on
When the generic soldier has the best voice of the bunch, you know things are fucked.
1:45 Grade A voice acting
1:37
Better voice acting
I made the mistake of playing RD before PoR, so when I saw this for the fist time I wasn't excited as I should
Lol Rolf’s voice is just like hilarious
Why does his voice reminds me of Gordin from the old Fire Emblem anime XD
Lucky Rainbow Because they look rly alike?

Still really hype seeing the Greil Mercenaries kick ass like that though.

DestructiveDave1900 ike is politically inept

GEOFFREY MY BOI
Lucia is so hot with short hair
Pretty Good Cutscenes, Awful Voice Acting, Not As Bad As Megaman X7, But Still Awful
