Thanks for the videos, I am in the process of moving from Australia to Russia to start a regenerative cattle operation there, and this kind of information is very valuable. Please keep these videos coming, farmers and the world need them. This is the only way forward for agriculture.

Great video, Lance. Well thought out set of questions and Luke has some great answers. He's a very innovative thinker. I hope you'll come back to Luke a few times this year and show us how the cover and the 60 inch corn are doing, and then how his pairs do with the forage later in the season.

Appreciate the feedback! Yes we will be revisiting the field/farm through out the growing season.
      Stay tuned for future videos!

Here's a short video showing the cover crop growth/biomass on the 60 inch rows.

I’m not a farmer but I grow my own food when I can. I’m so glad to see farmers trying new things. I’ve never believed that the way most do it is the best way.

Any follow up to how the corn turned out with the crowding he was worried about by upping the seeds per ac in wach row????
Also what fertility did he add if any to compensate for that? Or in general what fertility imputs is he at?

    Good video!
I have a couple people wonder what I am doing with 60" corn. Try to explain AUM credits and for the row crop guys what if they could get almost the same yield but not have to spend much money on fertilizer, eliminate the cost of tillage and reduce the mud battle in spring and fall

      Right on Jon!
IT all starts with a changed thinking and being willing to ask WHY.
Am I satisfied with my net profit per acre?
Do I like the direction my farm is headed?
      What are my objectives?
Am I farming to keep up the "Jones" regarding bragging rights and yield?
The list goes on but will stop there for now.
Keep on rocking it and maybe we should do a video together soon??!!

Lance can you do a follow-up video post-harvest? Curious to see how this yielded and how the covers look!

Thanks Cody for the question. Yes around 2:30 there’s a picture with Gabe Brown, Ray Archeluta, and Allen Williams when we attended a Soil Health Academy in October of 2019 at Rays farm in Missouri.

Has anyone tried using a 6 row like his planting with the middle four rows giving a two row skip four row bay vs. 60 inch

      Hey Corey,
Lots of various planting and planter configurations being used/tried regarding 30"/60" and other widths as well.
      Thanks for the question.
