I love the way our basement looks now, I do not like a mess and knew this would take awhile. I have been wanting to get down in the basement to clean it up, but knew it would take time and I felt a little overwhelmed doing it by myself so I am glad Cambriea took lead on this project. Going to the same style plastic containers is a huge help when you do a project like this. It made it way easier to stack the bins and these bins are a lot stronger and have built in handles. This will make moving a lot easier because everything is already packed up nice and neat. Not sure if Cambriea already mention this, but we took 5 SUV loads to Goodwill, and 1 SUV load of recyclables and garbage to our city recycling center. Also our garbage bin and recycling bin were both full, so we got rid of a lot of stuff, it really was a good downsizing. All our old plastic bins I gave to my Dad and our neighbor across the street, and my Dad still needs to come over with his van to haul away his 3x6 foot Air Hockey Table that I was storing for him. Plus by doing this the boys have a place to practice their Ninjutsu and have a nice big play area inside the house. :)

Just painting the walls will definitely warm up the basement. But painters drop cloths & make curtain rods out of PVC pipe. Then get some simple clips with rings on the other end. Clip the drop cloth then loop the rings around the PVC pipe. It’s super cheap & easy to do. My friend ended up doing this outside on her back patio as well & bunched the curtains together at the support post with a tie. One day when you move it will be easy to unhook & move with you. I love your passion for the holidays & watching you both decorate & set everything up. What a great idea for the DVD’s. I’m downsizing & have a lot of DVD’s & music CD’s. I loved them for one reason or another which is why I invested in them. You both do you & what makes your hearts happy. Holiday decor, DVD collection. Your both working contributing adults in society. You don’t answer to anyone but yourselves & God. ♥️👍🏼👏🏼. Awesome job on the basement!!!!! Great job boys on your practice.

having a small space and painting the walls a dark color will make it feel more bigger, open and warm. Not too dark but not too light like white! Love the outcome it looks amazing 💙

Finally getting back to comment! What a fantastic transformation! Not that it was bad before - it was pretty organized - but now it just works so much better for your family. It really is such a nice space. You asked for suggestions that won’t break the bank. I have a friend who was in a similar situation and wanted to spruce up her basement without spending a lot because she planned to move. She had storage at one end , open play area in the middle and carpets with sofa and chairs and inexpensive TV at the other end. She painted her room in a neutral color in a tone that complimented the furniture, then painted a stripe around the room at chair rail height to give the room some interest and break up the big expense of solid wall. She already had some patterned pillows she wanted to add to the sofa so she chose a color from those for her stripe. It really did pull everything together and give the space a finished look. She considered adding a narrow stripe of another, darker color on each side of her original stripe, but ultimately chose to leave it as is. You could do something similar, painting in a shade of cream or beige that goes well with the sofa and rug. You could choose pretty much any color for the stripe - maybe a shade of red to pick up the color of the posts and the one rug? You could do the single stripe or go with a narrow second color on each side maybe using a deep green (sort of Gucci-esque) or black. You and Bobby work so well together. And you just have the best boys! Xander was such a huge help (like his little brother, as we get to see so often). You have created the nicest family. 💕
We don’t have new houses built with basements in the UK as standard - I wish we did! It adds so much room to a home. I love how organised it looked after all your hard work. I’m being more inspired to organise my home after watching many influencers on YT. I love it. 😃

Wow! Lots of hard work but so worth it! Your basement looks great! So glad to see you recycled all the plastic CD & DVD cases & didn't just put them in the trash. A suggestion for your new home when you do move, since you said you probabally won't have a basement, if you have a big enough back yard, how about 2 large storage sheds. One for all your holiday decorations & one for other stuff such as your lawn mower, rake, shovel, etc. These sheds can be painted to match your house for a unified look to your property. Great video! Congratulations on a job well done! 👏👏👏
As a retired military wife.. those years of moving aren behind me, To be Honest, I kind of miss it. But the up rooting with three kiddos is a challenge. Have it all in order for when the movers come to and pack. Lighten your load before you move to your next and long time home. I have gotten rid of so much “stuff” over the years, I still am getting rid of “stuff”. You got this!
Amazing difference - opening up the space and decluttering while allowing yourself to keep those things you love - and most importantly keep the things you love carefully - such a good job.
I’m a newer follower and Wow. You are a worker. I was so impressed on how you move things around with and without help. 💪🏻 So many great ideas that you shared. I am absolutely getting rid of cd and dvd cases. Wow. My mind was blown. Also loved the idea to of dollar tree fabric bins. They made things look so clean and put together. Thanks for the motivation!
So inspiring watching you get your basement organized. When you were getting all those boxes under the stairs the thought crossed my mind "she must be really good at Tetris!" Haha!
We did fix up a basement in our last house. We used burlap floor to ceiling screens made by using iron on binding to make a pocket and threading panels onto pvc pipe, hung from ceiling. Softened sounds, made it cozy.
Regarding the basement, I have a friend who painted the cement floor and then sealed it with layers of epoxy and it now looks and shines like marble flooring. Really makes a statement. White walls, especially in a basement, doesn't strike me as warm and inviting. It's pretty sterile and cold and looks unfinished. I would go for either a light Grey or light brown. Light Grey with white molding and the floor painted like white marble with some nice large carpets would look like it was finished without breaking the bank.
At first I was confused about why you only labeled the lids, but now I see it's so that you can just put whatever in whatever box and then put the lid wherever it goes. So smart!
The Army was really hard on my husband's body also. He was deployed to the Middle East in 2003/2004 and came home with lung problems. We live in Wisconsin now. It's been our home for the past 12 years, and I dislike the winters but otherwise love it here. Thank you so much for your cleaning videos. I just discovered your channel but I really enjoy it.
@@livingwithcambriea For the most part, yes, but we have our share of very hot and humid days that make me glad we have air conditioning and I don't have to work outside. lol

Girl - you have SO MUCH perseverance!!! You are a true motivator! First, my dvd collection is about an eighth of the size of Bobby's and I got one of those books like you have over three years ago & still haven't finished filling it or purchased more to fill with the rest. I have been on the fence on whether or not to even keep any beyond my absolute faves & classics etc. But as usual you have motivated me to finish the job - which will take me an hour at most & will free up so much space as you clearly know! Lol! And I live in an apt so I don't have the amount of space you do to store such things. So - it is a must for me. As Always Cambriea - THANK YOU for sharing with us and inspiring us ♥♥♥ PS - it was great to watch you & Bobby work together - awesome couple!
Love the before and after comparison, you both did great. When it comes to selling your house, I would recommend you move your stored decorations elsewhere (a rental, family's basement or get a temporary unit you can keep on your property, depends on if you have a HOA that will permit one) because although we know you decorate extensively for all holidays, that much area devoted to storage may make potential buyers feel there isn't enough storage in the house overall. Then stage the basement dividing into family area, play area and fitness area. Just do what you normally do so well Cambria, and you can't go wrong! Those dogs were trying to supervise the whole process, so cute. Loved the boys showing their skills too. Just wait until little Sis is big enough to want to be involved!
Those before and after photos are amazing.. what a difference.. I love watching all the girls you mentioned and also love watching Loving life as Megan, she's a sweetheart too.. your kids are growing up and thanks for sharing the boys practising their skills at Judo (I think that's what you said).. Love and hugs 🦘🐨🧸💜
HUGE job done. Looks so organized and tidy. Enjoy all the decorations you have because before you know it your kids will be gone and it’ll all change. Great job mom and dad making a safe space for workouts. I’m sure they’re enjoying it.
Wow! You really decluttered!!👍👏 I think I'm going to go tackle my 4yr old little girls room now. Great motivation 👍 your boys and baby girl are so adorable 😘😘😘🥰🥰🥰 Give each one a big hug from me. I love your videos so much. I started watching you since 2019 in august. When you used to go to peoples hoarders messy homes . I miss those videos.but I go back and watch them every now and then.👍👍 you did an excellent job in those homes. 👍
Hi Cambriea! Great organization project! There is something so satisfying about watching someone else doing a major re-organization project hahahahaha!!!!! I love how it turned out, and I had no idea they made a DVD organizer like that, but it makes sense duhhh, they are basically a CD hahahaha!! I can't wait to order some for our DVD's. I get so many great ideas from you, girl!!! I love it!
I know this is an older video but we did a reno on our basement that looked similar to yours and we did add one drywall wall in the center just to kind of space the different sections instead of having just a huge open room which made a huge difference. We painted all the brick a light grey color. And if you don't have a water issue in the basement, you can do what we did and we put down waterproof faux wood flooring. It really brought the space together and it is less "basement" looking. We also installed some nice can lights in the ceiling and painted the exposed ceiling black to make it look nice without putting in drop ceiling and all that.
So strong the boy's They have a nice space to play and become proffesionals Youre a great mom and tumbs for the hubby who drive with his loaded car (hahaha) Tfs Cam B
Tapestries would really brighten it up! Amazon has some amazing options as cheap as $12 and they look amazing. You can also buy a rug for the storage area to cozy it up a little. And I think the white paint would definitely help.
I am so jealous of those up north who can have basements. We do not have them in South Texas and I can just imagine having the additional square footage of your house underneath your house! Great job!
Mine, too! But I keep putting it off - not into the giant spiders and lizards that invade and hide. The lizards are at least afraid of me and retreat, but those giant spiders? If you stomp at them, they just stomp back! Not kidding! And then I’m the one who retreats! 😂😂
I wish I had the energy to be as productive as you! As far as the basement reno. Painting the ceiling black is in now - maybe that and painting the walls a light color will give it an industrial feel.
I got such a kick out of that last outfit, Cambriea! Beautiful strawberry red leggings with a long lacy top! You look ready for a party and you sure deserve one for all of the fine work in the video. I also find it quite loving that you and your husband made a special space for your boys' interests. Great parenting!
Love the workout space for the boys. Being a mom and teacher who looks out for potential accidents waiting to happen, you might consider some foam on the pole next to their space. I know my kids would be running into or kicking it. Even a few pool noodles making a perimeter around it. This gives me so much inspiration to tackle my basement.
Oh yeah. Bobby and I were actually talking about that. Definitely going to wrap the pole. We are also trying to decide if you go up the wall a little also just to be safe. Lol boys are trouble and I know one will end up hurt eventually 🤦♀️
I’m the same with having lots and lots of bins for my holiday decorations lol specially Halloween and Christmas lol, I won’t get rid of it just to have space because that’s what basements or garages are for. Love the fact that you made space for your boys! Like how it all came out and you got rid of what no longer serves you. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I think having all the bins the same gives it a more uniform look. The black and yellow bins are super sturdy as well. Glad you labeled them. My OCD was screaming take off the white labels or turn them to the back.
Yes girl!!!! You guys did such a great job!!! I saw the preview on insta and IMMEDIATELY hopped on to YT! I get a bit tired of the usual cleaning, so anything like this always gets me super motivated and ready to tackle different projects! I can't wait to get my garage done soon!! The boys looks so cute in their suits! The basement turned out so good!
I know you were saying ideas for low cost diy for the basement. I like how cute and clean it is, so since you’re moving within the year I would just hold off cause it’s a nice blank canvas for the new owners. If I saw that I would be like oh wow this is a nice space we totally could redo it.
Love "Jesse at Home" always watch her and "YOU". Glad you decided to go with the all dark gray floor mats they are uniform and that looks so much better. With sorting and having the bins all one color (labeled) and on one side with the other area for the kids is wonderful. I don't know if I'd do anything else. It's a basement, a very organized basement. If painting all the walls white will make you feel better, then do that. I thought it the wall color is already the same color throughout. It's cohesive.
Ohio move to Ohio……best of luck and congratulations on 20 years. My husband retired from the USAF with 25 years. We built our house after he retired. Since all our kids are grown wish we would’ve built a one level with full basement. Maybe doing that soon though. Great job on your basement.
Insulate and finish the ceiling, add some great can lighting, take a section and create a storage room. Leave walls and floors alone. Love the brick and floors are fine for a basement
I love before and after shots and you guys did great! And I love that hobby is a movie buff that’s how I am with movies and tv shows and music too! Looking forward to you guys redoing the basement if you do! And omg how cute are the boys at the end! 💙💙
Stick on vinyl paneling or maybe painting the bricks a warmer color would help, a vinyl wood flooring tile is very nice if you need a flooring, and your basement is prone to damp, if not then carpet with a thick pile is always a win
I would definitely paint ceiling bright white and walls also. Maybe seperate basement in sections. Storage, playroom, family room to show potential buyers that you have enough space. Reach out to companies for free furniture like article.
We live in WI too, but we only have a crawlspace since we live next to lakes. When we got rid of our DVDs, it was a life changer (we have a fire stick so need need to keep all of those DVDs that you can find online). We went minimal and it took a huge weight off of our shoulders. We still have decorations and such, but just what we use, nothing more ♡
Loving the way you did this love that you use the same type of bins as well you’re right it makes it easier to stack easier to move I may be looking at moving in the next year myself and my basement is all unfinished as well which is concrete walls and concrete floors and we’re just going down there and repainting the walls with concrete paint which is like a grayish tone versus a nasty white that was down there I don’t own my house I only rent but I’m using my entire basement as a proper pantry right now so I got a look for a house that has pretty much the same size basement which is the same size as my house it’s gonna be hard to fine but y’all did a great job thanks to your husband for serving in his country
Love the video. You may want to put some padding around the pole that's in the boys tumbling area. I know boys can be very rambunctious. Also when its time to list your house you may want to move out some of your storage bins to a friends or family garage or a storage unit. I think it would help in resale and help the basement to seem bigger to buyers. Good luck in your future move.
LOVE ~ LOVE ~ LOVE watching your videos. I started watching your shows since last year. and THANK YOU for the inspiration and organizational tips / ideas... Keep up the GREAT work.. I will be subscribing to Cambria and Bobby's House hunting in Florida.. CAN'T WAIT :)
I too like how the basement looks, I like the wall color, its homey. I would suggest maybe some big area rugs to make it more comfy and warm. Maybe some art on the walls or shelving with non storage things. For sure rugs.
We painted the bricks in our basement white and it made it all look SO much better 😍 before it was darker gray almost and it just looked creepy and old but it looks 10x better now, def paint the walls white!
I think painting the walls white is a great idea! Depending on your budget, maybe also consider putting down some click-in faux wood flooring or vinyl flooring to make it look more cozy and cohesive with the rest of the house?
Pats on the back to both of you! The basement looks perfect now. You’re sure going to miss having one in Florida. They’re very uncommon here in Texas too and we don’t like to keep things in the attic because of the extreme summer temperatures, so we have just one large storage closet. We’ve become much more minimal since moving to Texas ten years ago.
Perfect timing. Working on my shed. The stuff there reproduces like rabbits! Super motivation. You, Jessie and Denise corner the motivation market. Love the matching bins and dollar totes...so organized. The mats too look great. I like the basement as it. Has an industrial look. Maybe brighten the walls and you could spray the ceiling white. Just need a new door 😉🐕
We love our DVDs as well. We have an extensive collection and about 10 yrs ago I purchased books like you are using and we put them in it and throw the cases out. Saves so much space.
Maybe painting the walls white like you said will really brighten the space. Also you can get vinyl planks that are fairly cheap, they look really nice, and are easy to install to cover up the cement. It will also add value to your home to have a finished basement. Great job organizing👍
Omg I love your basement.i live in Australia and we don't have basements but wish we did as would give us so much more room. Love your videos, watch them all the time. You and your husband did an amazing job.
I loved your content. I do wish you would start the hoarder series again. It was really awesome to see how you helped others and the ideas for their space.
I always wondered why certain states do not have basements and why. Yours looks amazing! Doing all the same style bins will make it so much easier when you move too.

your basment looks pretty organised befoe you started! thats the sort of thing i want to do in my garage! love your videos and hope you have a great day cambriea. xx
I've never had a basement, but I do live in a cinderblock apartment. One thing that helps this place feel a bit more like a home is the crown molding and baseboards. Might be an idea?
Great job! What a transformation! Your basement seems huge. You have such tall ceilings down there. Honestly, I wouldn't do anything other than what you just did. Tidying, organizing, and opening up the space is really going to appeal to future owners. They will have a better vision for how they will want to use the space. Go chill and put your feet up! You deserve it!
I don't have a basement but I have a loft/attic, I have matching storage boxes and they are all labelled I've have Christmas in one area and then Halloween, Easter in other areas I've separated those with sheer curtains because I don't want to see the water tanks et c The matching bins bring a lovely feeling of organisation and my mental state calm It looks great in your basement and Jessie is one of my favourites also xxx
The only thing I can think of for when y'all list the house is to stage the basement and put most of it in storage for just like a month. It looks so much better, but I see why you're asking about little upgrades! I'm so excited for what's in store :) I love Jessie and Amanda, too! You should try watching Like Leaf on a Tree. another great video! You are such a hard working Mom!!! and you and Bobby are such a great example for your littles!
I forgot u had a basement Cambriea, really surprised how much space you have. It looks fantastic now.
Wisconsin does have the best summers at least
@@livingwithcambriea For the most part, yes, but we have our share of very hot and humid days that make me glad we have air conditioning and I don't have to work outside. lol
I am in the middle of going thru & organization for my move at the end of May. So yes, I enjoy seeing all that you do. You are such an encouragement to me, Thank you. Great content, just what I need. Keep up the good work (as a Mom) & on your channels here on RUclips.
Tell ur husband thank you for his service! And thank you for motivating me to get off my butt and start spring/summer cleaning. tfs God Bless!
Bless you girl, you have the patience of a saint with those cd’s.
I love it!
It’s wonderful that you guys bond over the holiday decorating. My boyfriend and I were the same way. It’s so joyful!
So strong the boy's
They have a nice space to play and become proffesionals
Youre a great mom and tumbs for the hubby who drive with his loaded car (hahaha)
Tfs Cam B
Tapestries would really brighten it up! Amazon has some amazing options as cheap as $12 and they look amazing. You can also buy a rug for the storage area to cozy it up a little. And I think the white paint would definitely help.
Might be worth padding around the support pipe in case the boys roll into it. Brilliant transformation 👍 xx
I am so jealous of those up north who can have basements. We do not have them in South Texas and I can just imagine having the additional square footage of your house underneath your house! Great job!
Great video! Needed this basement motivation. I would love some garage motivation too 😉. Our garage has gotten out of hand this winter.
Love this and how well you guys work together! Such a good feeling when a big decluttering project is done!
Wow ,great job you both did. The boys are going to enjoy all that space.🧡🧡🧡🧡
I got such a kick out of that last outfit, Cambriea! Beautiful strawberry red leggings with a long lacy top! You look ready for a party and you sure deserve one for all of the fine work in the video. I also find it quite loving that you and your husband made a special space for your boys' interests. Great parenting!
Such a good pupper, trying to help it's humans 🥰 lol Lovely doggo ❤
You, Bobby & Zander did a great job on decluttering your basement. Great cleaning video as always. Thanks for sharing with us!
Dear Cambriea! Your videos are always right on time with the motivation I need to tackle a new project! You are THE best! Love from Montreal 💕
Wow it looks wonderful. I love the mats on the floor and the new bins. Great job to you and Bobby
Stick on vinyl paneling or maybe painting the bricks a warmer color would help, a vinyl wood flooring tile is very nice if you need a flooring, and your basement is prone to damp, if not then carpet with a thick pile is always a win
Do you watch the Wads? She says houses in Florida are going like crazy. They're trying to move, too. Good luck! This was so soothing to watch!
Omg yes I love her
Love Kim and Alex 💗
I enjoyed your video and your sons practicing in their new space in the basement. I know y'all cannot wait to move to FL.
I’m jealous of all the storage space you have in your basement! 😆 Great job and I love the cricut labels you added to your bins!
I love this transformation! So much more room for activities and it calmed the space! 💜💜💜💜💜
I love the idea of painting the basement white! Anything to make a dark space more bright and warm. Also thank you for your service Bobby! 😊
Love this video of you and your hubby working as a team in high speed! Really cute and effective!
I think painting the walls white is a great idea! Depending on your budget, maybe also consider putting down some click-in faux wood flooring or vinyl flooring to make it look more cozy and cohesive with the rest of the house?
Of COURSE you got all that done in just 4 days. You guys are amazing.
I just love you the way you organize and clean. Nice basement! Best of luck on your moving journey, will be following your projects and small renos 😊
Hi Cambria I never seen your basement before it is huge, your boys are going to love the space that you give them. Loved this video thankyou🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️💖
We did the same with our CD’s and I think it’s worth the effort. The grey fabric tubs look really good on the shelf. Great effort guys. 🥰
You are an inspiration, thank you for all you share with us- plus all the neat tips and tricks!! ❤
Your basement looks AMAZING!!! Great job Cambria!!!! Perfect clip of your boys using the space you created so they could practice together. 🙋🏻♀️❤️🏠☀️Love your channel!!
your basment looks pretty organised befoe you started! thats the sort of thing i want to do in my garage! love your videos and hope you have a great day cambriea. xx
Love your decluttering and organizing videos. 🤩. Excited for what’s to come for your family. Boys looked so cute, their going to love all that space.
Hello my friend Cambria..
You warned me..but i still in the good mood to watch and enjoy as always
The basement looks Great!!
Freya looks so cute and the boys did a great job at the end. Thanks for sharing.
I don't have a basement but I have a loft/attic, I have matching storage boxes and they are all labelled I've have Christmas in one area and then Halloween, Easter in other areas I've separated those with sheer curtains because I don't want to see the water tanks et c
The matching bins bring a lovely feeling of organisation and my mental state calm
It looks great in your basement and Jessie is one of my favourites also xxx
Amazing transformation! I love how purposeful, uniform and organized everything looks! You also had a cute little helper too! :)
Wow that basement is the size of my house. UK houses are so small by comparison.
She decluttered her whole house with her husband!
Looks amazing, especially the DVD cleanup. I just recently uploaded my 300+ music CD collection to cloud storage after moving with them for years in carry cases like those. Well done!
Wow that was a big job. It looks great!
