I had read on social media last year that some European countries air this movie on Christmas day. So thank you for uploading this so I could see it for the first time at Christmas!
I just got reminded of this film yesterday, but this was my childhood. My teacher would put it on our TV in the classroom all the time, and I loved it.
I watched this when I was about 4 years old. I remember a magical Czech film that played to all the little girl princess emotions and I really believe this is it! I remember the lead actresses face and the chestnuts I only remembered by seeing them here but I DO remember them. 49 years later I find it by chance. Thank you for sharing this. Like Polly and Dragon66ize, this has made me happier than it should. Just to know what it was I watched when a child and never forgot. To find it is satisfying in a strange way. Full circle.

Remember watching in the US as a child, it was a voice over, wish they could find it! I do have the dvd of this, was so happy when I found it! Best Cinderella ever!
Beautiful film! I understand that this is a favorite fairytale in the Czech Republic and Germany. It is popular at Christmastime though it isn't a Christmas story. The animals were wonderful!

I’ve seen many different versions of Cinderella but this is my first Czech version. I absolutely loved it and it’s definitely one of my new favorites :)
This airs on the main TV channel here in Norway every Christmas Eve (the day we celebrate here), and I've been in love with Cinderella every Christmas since I were a little boy. I think she's dead now? Sadly. I think Norway or the Czech or a combination of the two have made a 4K newly restored version of it now.

In Germany they showed this movie around christmas 36 times. It is a czech/GDR movie.

I was watched this as a child on the CBS Children's Film Festival :) I never forgot it and now I own this wonderful movie. RIP Libuše Šafránková :(

I read that the exquisite Libuše Šafránková died in June 2021. She was only 68. That’s really sad and such a loss.
She died of lung cancer or something like that
