Boeing is played by Mond who is GMMTV actor which quite a lot of people ghost shipped with First's character in the series Not Me (ngl I did too). This is Mond's first BL. I also felt like he hadn't been in much since that show so I know I was happy to see his face on screen again. I think it was dramatic as well since the audience speculated that Mix was going to play Boeing so those one's got bamboozled.

The main two guesses were Mix (from EarthMix) or Sea (the official account from the show started following Sea, so people went crazy 🤣 ) And couple days before the EP9 dropped, P'JoJo and P'Ninew (the directors) in an interview gave some spoilers about it. That Boeing would appeared in the EP9 and isn't Mix or Sea, and the chosen actor never kissed a man on screen before (kinda true, sort of, Mond played a character in Water Boyy). And I'd add for the all the buzz, Mond falls under the category like Joss and Luke (and a little bit Earth): he looks like a man-man/grown up that doesn't do BLs normally instead the usual more boyish actors. Almost masc-masc like MaxTul (you'll understand when you see it 🤣 )
I am blindsided by first and khao chemistry bc i absolutely love sand and ray, like yes they are messy but still end up in a place where i think they benefit from one another and make each other happy. Maybe I'm jus bias but i do like them 🤧
I really don't want to spoil things, so it's so hard to comment towards the end of the show! Haha, but I love your recaps so much. I feel like I'll have a novel to say at the finale. (But I 100% agree that the writers don't like Boston. You can tell from the writing and the way they talked about his character in interviews while the show was airing. Also, it's a very gmmtv thing to put in a huge final conflict right before the end and struggle to tie up all the loose ends.).
It's so funny that you both agreed that this is Top's best episode because I remember being so annoyed by him watching it the first time. To be fair I as never a TopMew girlie so I never felt that strongly about them getting together. But I personally found Top to be very pushy and putting myself in a scenario where I was suppose to be spending time with family and an ex who you have not completely solve your issues with would basically invite himself there even though you showed that you did not want that. It was such a weird viewing experience for me because watching it I definitely got the idea that it was suppose to be written so you would end up on Top's side and I think that probably was how most people felt about it. But it just didn't work for me and could not get on board with the way the story of their reconnection was playing out
I agree that sand can’t fix ray and ray has to acknowledge that he has problems and want to get better. But for someone who doesn’t see any future for his self, a reason could work. Like if ray realizes he has sand by his side and starting to like living the life with him and slowly healing himself and ultimately setting goals for himself too. Sorry eng is not my first language so i feel like i cant explain myself really well. I mean for start the reason could be sand but as he gets better he will start living for himself too. Ray never experienced being loved, in his mind his mother end her life because of him, how more unlovable can you be if your mom ends her life because of you. I think if ray really feels that he has someone who likes him geniunely and be there for him, he will want to get better for that person and slowly for himself too
They took so many things out the book in that part. The book made that scene epic but the series just brushed through it. Ray didn't get mad coz Mew refused to kiss him, it was him that pushed Mew away when he came onto him and decided to go look for Sand in that moment. Something about having everything he'd ever wanted but he couldn't get Sand out of his mind.
But from what I understand the series is not an adaptation of the novel. The screenplay and the novel were somewhat written simultaneously by slightly different teams so both are more like two versions of similar plot around the same characters

I am so exited for the next episode. I have so many mixed feelings on Sandray but I think next episode is so good. Definitely messy tho. I rlly like the direction sandray goes in even though they're so messy. Idk I think their chemistry and khaos acting trumps over their toxic mess for me lol.

the mew and ray couch scene was soo crazy, it was like he was having a tantrum that mew wouldnt let him fuck him 😭😭 it reminded of those "nice guys finish last" guys and yeah mew doesnt actually like him but it was still a very uncomfortable scene to me. even if you date someone, they dont owe you sex.
first and khaotung have amazing chemistry but yeahh i was not on the sandray train which disappointed me a lot. ray crosses every boundary sand tries to set and sand just accepts it because hes a pushover 😭 i know a lot of people like sand so it frustrates me even more, feel like im watching a friend go back to their toxic ex over and over again. if i was sand i wouldve dumped ray the minute he drove drunk because i dont fuck with that like youre rich, call a taxi.
I’m a bit suprised how much credit you give Top. At this point I was barely invested in their storyline, but really disliked how Top hugs an unconscious Mew from behind after the party, when he CLEARLY wouldn’t have consented to that and then just keeps showing up event though Mew doesn’t want to see him. It gave off very uncomfortable vibes.
I was sad you guys weren’t excited about that firstmark kiss since I watched it no less than 300 times 😅 I guess we’re just looking to get different things out of this show lol
