2009 Toyota Corolla one hand alternator swap.

This is how I swapped an alternator in 17 minutes with one hand while recording with my other hand on a 2009 Corolla S with a 1.8 engine.
This video is not an manufacturers automotive repair video.
I am a shadetree mechanic, not a professional and here just entertaining you.
What I'm doing and how I do it may be wrong and dangerous.

I just did this task today and really struggled breaking the 14 mm bolt free. Needed a cheater bar that I didn't have while doing this on the road. The gray cap also beat me as I couldn't get it off the alternator cable. I ended up breaking it while prying. But once I got the 14 free, I think one handed would have worked. Great job!!!!!!

Thanks man! My battery light popped on in northern Michigan on Sunday afternoon. We made it to Gaylord and hit Auto Zone. Used their tools and your video. Wow that was powerful fam I got a 2010 corolla with the battery light staying on I know I can change that sucker I used to do it 30 years ago on a 1980 Honda civic but I got lazy but I'm gonna do this 1 thanks for the confidence 👍

Hi master, after watching you, I changed the alternator, the light flickering and starting problems in my car were fixed, but 1 week later, today, the lights started to flicker again, what do you think could be the reason for this? What should I do?

Take the car to the auto parts store where you purchased it to to have them check the alternator for free.
It could be a bad alternator if you purchased a remanufactured one.
