  • This HD dramatic video choreographed to powerful music introduces the viewer/student to our Atmosphere and its impact on our lives. It is designed as a motivational "trailer" to be shown by teachers of Meteorology, Earth Science, Biology and Physical Science in middle school, high school and college as a visual Introduction to the science of Meteorology.
See more of my videos at my channel: www.youtube.com.... Subscribe to my channel for other video trailers in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Meteorology and Astronomy. I will be releasing new ones periodically.
Please rate this video and feel free to comment. If you like it, please help me spread the word by posting links to it on your social media websites. The more students who can enjoy these dramatic videos, the better!
I wish to thank all the quality video and music producers whose postings enabled me to assemble this video for educational use.
Music is a mix of several pieces.
To best enjoy this video, view on a big screen and turn up your speakers. The music is powerful and dramatic!
I can customize this video to add your name or school name at the end credits, for a very modest fee. If interested, email me at "fsgregs@comcast.net"
Until recently, you were able to download my videos for free from my other video storage site (vimeo.com). Recently, however, they began charging a significant membership fee to enable that feature, so downloading from there is no longer available. However, you can search for and obtain free download addons for your browser that will allow you to download my videos from either RUclips or Vimeo.

There needs to be a commercial length version of this to make the point of how important it is. The fact that we breathe it, play and work in it, is missed by important institutions. This type of content drives that point home so effectively, thank you!

I absolutely love this!! I am in 8th grade, learning about Physical Science. Last year i learned all about weather in Earth science. Out of all my years in middle school, Earth was my most favorite. I hope one day I will become a meteorologist or an Earth science teacher. I make my own science notebooks just like my old teacher did :) i hope i could become either one of those!! Thanks for the great video!!!

I have always loved meteorology since I was very little, I remember watching all the natural disaster movies and reading books about weather (my favorite being tornadoes)! The weather channel is my favorite, sadly I don't have that channel anymore, but it doesn't stop me from checking the forcast all the time!! I hope to become a meteorologist one day too (:

As an educator, I would rather have the version that does not have the abuse portion....just the atmosphere. I will use this as an intro to the atmosphere and lead students into their investigation. The damage to the atmosphere will come a little later.

Hallo teacher. May an old kid (Well, Joke saying 'kid') I went to School in the mid sixties first. But still do reseach. To day viewing a few related atmosphere videos I noticed a lot of appriciation from students about to take exams where the video subject matter helped them a lot. It got me thinking that nowadays earths atmosphere may be part of some schools curriculums. It certainly was never part of ours. But in out day space exploration was just beginning. So natually things change. So I would like to ask, which subject this all comes under. Are you in the US of America? Is meteorology taught as well. I think grade 5 may be about age 11 what we have as pre seniour school here in the UK. TY. Open to any one else to answer. TY.

And why are the upper layers cooler (brizzzz), since they are the first to receive the rays?
Even at the re-entry, the satellites or rocket remains descend on fire; so this was supposed to happen also with the infamous sun rays ... but not.😇
Is the heat down here having more to do with electromagnetic reactions involving the surface x rays, than the emissions from a "big furnace" suspended over our heads ...

I was looking for a video that had the scientific breakdown of the Earths atmospheric layers and the composition of the gases it contains. Your video had some awesome photography & was interesting from the start. Great job, however, it ended with a political agenda declaration supported only by a few hundred government funded papers & a number of computer simulations that have been proven wrong by the scientific data being sent back from satellites studying the Earths weather for the past several decades. According to the NASA data, there has been no significant warming of the Earths atmosphere in the last 18 years. The consensus of the world's scientists not receiving government funding is overwhelming that Global warming is a hoax.
I would have provided a link here to take you to a petition, signed by over 37,000 scientists who think that the currently available scientific data do not support the conclusion that global warming is anything other than a naturally occurring cyclic phenomenon. The site also contains a peer reviewed scientific paper that gives an overview of the existing climate science. This peer reviewed paper demonstrates that the positive feedback model is not valid and that therefore, the entire hypothesis of man-made global warming is also not validated. However, RUclips does not support links in the comments.

    • @sfgregs
      @sfgregs  6 лет назад +2

I am afraid you have been misled, possibly by propagandists who are trying to get you to doubt global warming and climate change. In study after study, well over 95% of actual climate scientists worldwide, totally agree that both global warming and changing climate are not only happening, but are caused by human emissions of greenhouse gases through the combustion of wood, coal, oil and natural gas. If you don't believe me, try an experiment. Pick 10 universities in America, and another 10 in Europe, and another 10 in Asia ... at random. Make sure they are random selections. Email their Meteorology Dept. and ask whoever answers, if climate change is real and is caused by human activity! See what they all say. Then, study some data yourself. Evidence proves that CO2 levels have hovered around 280 ppm for the last 500,000 years. It is now a whopping 409 ppm and climbing fast. Where do you think all that CO2 came from in the last 100 years? The normal sources of CO2 in the atmosphere (volcanoes, plant and animal respiration), have not changed that much. Whether the fossil fuel industry and their political friends like it or not, it is combustion that is reasponsible!
