As a Kentucky fan I really like Rick he's a great coach
He wins a lot of games but his teams seem to start out great the first of the year and then go down the drain where the other teams seem to get better through the season, I don't think he's a Championship couch no matter how much talent he's got.

Rick's a great ambassador for SEC coaches. He's a likable guy, knowledgeable, and he's not a prick like some SEC coaches.
RICK BARNES IS A GREAT COACH he will go down as a hall-of-fame HC don't B FOOLED he coaches his ass off the short comings isn't all on Rick the players must play there's many team's who would Love LOVE 2 have tenn success & coach
UK fan here....Coach Barnes is a class act and a beautiful human being. Been rooting for this guy to have the much deserved success for years....Just not vs Kentucky.
Also a UK fan. I agree and would love for him to get a FF under his belt before he retires. He's put together some great teams at both Texas and UT.

Tennessee shooting had an off night! Kentucky is good but this SEC Conference is SO STACKED!!! It’s any team any given night. Wow
They've had an off night shooting for the past 4 games. I'd say it's a pattern now.
Rick literally said it was by design they got so many open 3s. They got them because they can't shoot for shit.
Every team's have off nights, it's just in March it would end an entire season
Stop with the excuse this was a tenn home game the REFS always call for the home team and Uk is missing 2 starters & another important PG kerr it hurts yeah but we just came off a 2 game skid because the SEC IS LOADED and we R BBN

Tennessee has been a low scoring team all season, I knew that’s where the Cats had a good chance to win! Cats scored 20 points over the Vols defensive numbers. If we hadn’t missed so many free throws we would have scored our points average of 88! Big win Cats! Go big Blue!
Love to beat the Vols, but have a ton of respect for Rick Barnes. Class act all the way, great coach. He’ll have these guys ready for March
I,m a basketball fan period and nobody wants a home loss but the way the SEC is stacked its coming to everyone.

Appreciate RTI and all your coverage. It would be great though if you guys could figure out the single channel audio as it's been an ongoing thing and I've seen mentioned by others multiple times.
I love my Vols. However, we just don’t have the offense firepower to keep up with high scoring teams. Horrible loss at home to KY team that has 2 key players out. I also don’t see us beating FL next game. Will be lucky to even be a 5 seed in the NCAA tournament. #Disappointed

Tenn went down at the end and missed four three point shots Kentucky did not score on their possessions all they needed was twos and would have probably won the game. Tenn was never a No#1 ranked team

Incredible stat: Vols took 22 more shots than Kentucky but only made the same number of baskets. Bad. Team doesn't shoot well, which we've sadly come to expect--and worse, didn't play good defense tonight. That is killer for this team. This team will not beat good teams without playing great defense, because the offense isn't good. Vols squandered a game in which Igor scored 19 points. Lanier and Ziggy's poor shooting has really been a problem in recent games.
Yea bro Igor had one of his best games this season and we still lost….hopefully we can turn it around but we have to be better on offense it’s seriously painful to watch at times
You guys will be fine. We (KY) just came thru 2 tough losses....and bro it hurts...I get it. But you have a team that can beat anyone if they play to their ceiling. Going into March that's all you can really ask for. Stay up Vols. All good

He was open a few times but he was also being gaurded by zeigler the entire game who’s 7 inches shorter. Probably should have put a bigger body on him.

Seems as if our offense spent too much time watching our football team play offense! Both teams with championship defense, but junior college scoring abilities

Its simple you gotta recruit better. You atleast gotta have a full roster..... these guys are dead tired already.
After tonight, I’m convinced TN could possibly be the best team in the country if they get everything clickin at the right time. I’ve seen so many comments about how poorly they played defense tonight, I seen some lapses but overall I didn’t see UK take a whole lot of shots without a hand in their face or contact, and UK basically had no post game aside from near impossible drives with a Hail Mary sling the ball at the basket and pray.
I think Rick Barnes will figure it out and his players will realize that fact whether they figure it out or not, which I think they will. I know everybody’s down on TN’s offense now too, UK just made some hard ass shots that they haven’t been making lately, UK didn’t blow TN out of the water, I didn’t think TN would be able to even compete on offense honestly. I thought if UK was gonna win this game they would score 85 points bc of the guards that had to show up and show out and I thought TN would be somewhere in the 70’s, I didn’t see it being this close in a loss or a win for UK. I figured somebody on UK’s offense would have a career record night and go for 30+ if they won, I thought TN would win this game by 10 because of the pressure they play with on defense. I honestly think this loss says less about TN’s defense and more about UK’s ability to score regardless. Don’t forget we were down by 3 at half time and I expected the second half to mirror the first, with Lanier hitting more shots to end the game up by 10 or better.
I’m impressed by this TN team more so than the Knecht team and I expect these Vols to go further than they ever have in March. Remember, the NCAA tournament isn’t made up insanely talented SEC teams, not saying those teams suck but iron sharpens iron and even the worst team in the SEC might have a chance to make it to the tournament with a losing conference record so by tournament time it’s gonna be hard for other conferences to compete with the SEC, let alone the SEC team with the #1 defense in the country.

The VOLS need Dunbar, Gainey, Maschak, Lanier, someone that will attack the basket when the 3’s aren’t going. Who knows, might get a 3 point old school opportunity. It also helps shooters confidence when they see the ball go through the hoop, even if it’s a layup or dunk. Especially in under two minutes down by 4 points. Just IMIO. GBO!!
