    My experience over the first 300 miles matches that of Bill's. "Super smooth", "quick shift is awesome" etc. The MTS V4S is a truly amazing machine.

      Great to hear, Greg! 👍 It's such a brilliant all-around motorcycle. Very difficult to criticize. IMHO it's still Bike of the Year.

    Collected my MTS V4S FULL two weeks ago from Ducati Glasgow. 365 miles so far and absolutely delighted with it. Bill's comments are spot on, even with only 300 miles the quick shifter is like knife through butter (never had a quick shifter before). The MTS V4 is a great bike, the V4 engine is just awesome (even whilst running in) highly recommended!

    I finally picked up my V4S Sport today! It’s an amazing machine and I love the livery graphics even more in person. Gonna go bang out some miles tomorrow, I scheduled the 600 mile service for Tuesday.

      Awesome Jason! Well worth the wait. My friend collected his yesterday and I saw it in person - it's much nicer than the pictures isn't it. Mine is in the country and all things being well, I should have it by the end of the month. Enjoy, and let me know how you're getting on with it!

      @@RichDunn Yes it is better than the pictures. Dealer called me last night and said it came in so I went today picked her up today. They actually had 3 of them. Mine and another one were spoken for but not the other. Probably one of the only ones in the country without a buyer but that won’t last long I’m sure.

    Picking up my full sport version next week with full race system fitted ,so excited 😜

    • @RichDunn
      @RichDunn  3 года назад

      Awesome. The full race system must cost quite a lot fitted - what did they charge if you don't mind me asking?

    • @gregorybigg8924
      @gregorybigg8924 3 года назад +1

      @@RichDunn actually the fitting has been made a lot easier than on the Panigale and streetfighter because they don’t change the headers , so where it used to be a complete strip down 8-9 hours it’s only 1-2 max

    Best bike I have ever had and I have had they all, my last bike was GS1250 Rally….not in the same ball park as the V4S ….had mine 4 mths and I have covered more miles on the V4S in that time than any other bikes I have owned of the years.. Ps no vibes at all, super,super smooth…😎👍👍👍

    Great hearing from another MTS owner. Do you by chance know what year his 1200 is?

    • @RichDunn
      @RichDunn  3 года назад +2

      I think he mentioned it at the start? Maybe 2014? It's pretty high mileage and has been totally reliable, except the keyless ignition is sometimes finicky; which was a generic problem for Ducati back then, before owners Audi's build quality and control came into play.

    The Ducati MS4S is rocking. The bike has a nice sound but is on the quiet side stock form. With the Supply Chain being what it is, every one is affected. Parts and whole bikes alike. Well you know that. It’s absolutely worth waiting for what you really want. People who jump ship will probably regret that decision. Are you wearing riding jeans, and of so which ones? Good job out there. Ride safe and ride often. Peace.

    • @RichDunn

      A friend picked up his MSV4S Full today, another collects his next week. Erik and I hopeful of course before EOM. Both are apparently in the country. Can't wait! My preferred armored riding jeans are Klim 'K Fifty 2'. Great quality, comfort, protection, and fit.

      Excellent. Can’t wait. It’s getting close. That’s exciting. Lastly. How about walking around with the knee armour in place? I’ve read where it’s perfect in the riding position but uncomfortable for the walk. Thank you Richard.

    • @RichDunn
      @RichDunn  3 года назад

      @@roadglide The armor is very soft D30, which fortunately is the best protection wise too. And it's also light and doesn't bulge at the knees too much aesthetically either. I honestly never notice them when I'm walking around off the bike. And they never pinch or feel uncomfortable whatever my knee angle. They attach internally via pockets and velcro. The key is really to make sure they are in the exact best place for you when sitting down. They are definitely not cheap, but the quality and comfort is demonstrable, so you're unlikely to be unhappy with them should you take the plunge.

    Bikes are improving all the time... however also getting expensive! I assume you are all retired and have the freedom to ride when you want to?? Regards!

    • @RichDunn
      @RichDunn  3 года назад +1

      Neither Bill nor I am retired, unfortunately! Some of the crew Jerry/Erik are though. Bikes are certainly getting expensive, but performance, convenience, practicality, electronics, and safety are more akin to the Starship Enterprise than a C50 Cub, so what do we expect? The Multistrada is so clever that when you fit new tires it wants you to run a tire recalibration program, so it can assess the profile and rolling resistance of the new rubber, to better allocate the right parameters to the slide, wheelie, and traction tailorable settings. That is literally mind-blowing, compared with the wooden-brakes two-strokes that I grew up on. I agree with you that some MSRP's certainly raise eyebrows, but the ride is remembered long after the cost has been forgotten! 😀
