That crack in the neck at the body needed more than Titebond glue mixed with some saw dust and a little putty. You should have fashioned and then set two small bowtie dowels across that crack.
It is a fake restoration channel. Like all the others.
@@mollirodhaet7224 I don’t know about all the other guitar repair channels. There are a couple of them that are legitimate. I’ve seen Gabriel Retï do some amazing work but when it comes to this channel, I unsubscribed right after I saw this rebuild/repair. And without bowtie dowels, that neck will never hold; not even with hide glue.
Those Hohner Profoessional guitars are great well made guitars. I had two L59's, one with a Bigsby. But the tune-o-matic bridges are not so good. I put a Schaller roller bridge on the Bigsby L59. After sanding the fretboard you should save the rosewood dust in case you need to repair any split outs from ripping out the old frets, and after re-fretting you need to level the frets with a sanding beam and then re-crown them and then polish, checking for fret buzz while adjusting action and doing the bridge intonation, otherwise it wont play well or in tune.
And on the second guitar the Epiphone, btw - the Epi and Strat chapter names are switched in the video. Paint stripper won't work on a two pack lacquer as its crosslinked chemical structure (aka "cured") is resistant to solvent action, and i would have removed the bridge and tailpiece inserts so it could be sanded completely. Good idea to leave natural, but a cherry lacquer would have also worked well. in theory, the copper foil shouldn't be needed with Humbucking pickups but still not a bad thing to do also into the control cavities, but the overlaps should be soldered to ensure ground continuity and connect the foil to the ground circuit otherwise it won't do anything. great job though otherwise as it seems to play well.
The strat... another derelict rescued and restored. The electrics on those cheap copies are usually junk so its a good idea to replace the Pots and switch with decent ones like CTS Pots and an Oak-Grigsby switch, replace the standard cast zinc bridge with one with a steel sustain block and fit vintage bent steel saddles instead of those cast zinc ones, and better tuners.. good you had a Fender neck though. Paint job needed clear coat and the orange peel rubbing out of it and repolishing. but otherwise good work restoring those
Freat leveling missing ??
What an amazing job in this guitars!!!!! Fantastic!!! Congrats!!!!!
Beautiful video, very fun to watch.
I was in shock when i saw the wood that this strat was made of. I guess she was lucky to find you !!!
What takes more time, making the guitars look like they need repairs or the actual repairs? But it works for you based on the number of subscribers you have. You must be making a lot of money off of these setup videos.
O bacana é que você além de ser um grande profissional na restauração de instrumentos musicais eu vejo participação de seu filho e c é muito importante ao além de tudo você ainda ensina de forma bem alegre né brincando e ser bacana
Don't be so gullible! There are far too many scams and fake videos as it is, we don't need to feed into it.
That Epiphone ! Now I believe in magic.
Epiphone?
@@scottreeves1226 ….. darn autocorrect.
Yet another fake "restoration" video. Notice how th trade name decals were miraculously untouched? No ink applied before crowning (how do you know when to stop?), not a single high or low Epiphone fret (even a brand new one is not that perfect), no stripped or seized screws?
i agree it looks fake to me
Clowns these people are
I built and worked on many guitars and this is definitely fake
Really nice work. I also think the first neck needed more strengthening
They do these ro click bait you. They don't do anything correctly.
That “rust” looks like crumb cake crumbs and powder sugar
멋지다
太酷了绝对支持💯👍👍👍
WD40 and air blower are exact tool what you need. Do not mess up super clean gear anymore.
resting the guitar on hard wood table and hard wood neck support -- ouch
Funny how all the guitars have the same shit on them
16:15 Han quedado las cuerdas un poco altas o es un efecto óptico?
Nope they are high
круто
You literally splashed it with aircraft stripper to pretend it was ruined before you got it.
You beat me to it..
100 percent you wrecked those yourself to make a video 👎👎
hi it came out great you do great work
Were these guitars found on the Titanic ?
Excellent work. I love idea of removing the saddles and cleaning them the way you did. I wish you would have dropped better pups back in. Thanks
Restoration on a 150 dollar guitar. You do the math !!!
Des magiciens 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹😘🇫🇷
Steel wool, sawdust paste, wire wheels and omission of basic setup geometry. Great discography, audio and editing. Thanks
@@stan5513 😘🌹👍
I really do enjoy the guitar restorations I hope to see more.🎸
I love that macros
Fake
Restoration fakery at It's Best! And by the way..Fender never produced a guitar made of plywood as the last one clearly is.
Actually, a lot of early Squier guitars had plywood bodies.
To be honest, this is not very good quality work. The first guitar needed angle dowels or bow ties and epoxy on the neck just to name a few, and the finish was horrific. Won't comment on the second. It's obvious whomever is doing this has the skills, just lacking process.
It's a hohner.
who does that to a Hohner ? ...
bro😅but the second it isn't a stratocaster but a les paul and the third guitar is a strato
💀👍🏻
Come on, don't make theater for naive fools! Well, you can see that the guitar was intentionally damaged and dirty Hahahhhaaaa
I'm pretty shure that you damaged this guitar on purpose before restauration.
Epiphone? Strat? What are people writing?
After the Hohner "restoration" there are "restorations" of an Epiphone special and a Strat.
Almost as good as Tanya Shpchuk
Is this the chick with the shitty manicure?
Don't insult a real luthier!
nah.. That gal would never throw the neck away!
Really hope you're kidding
Сами замарали сами помыли
who the hell would use steel wool to clean frets, savage and not in a good way.
Amazing just how you got die-cast tuner parts to rust, and those frets didnt need to come out, theres nothing wrong with them, faker. why did you take all the gold plate off the pick up covers? gold plate dont rust fella. and what you did to that poor epi, pouring paint stripper on the thing to make it look old and abused,"abused by you really" thats a poly finish mate and poly doesnt do that by itself or from age.
Awful Repair , No strength . Had to stop at the Paint stripper Patina ^^ I Forward this to The Guitologist Bet he laughs his strings off ....Hope he makes a vid of it...
Who packs a guitar that Dirty, and the packaging is immaculate? The amount of dirt on the epiphone is more than ridiculous, it's fake.
Fake resto with lovely clean silver tape
🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤝🤗❤😊🤓😎🤩😁😀💯
Handwerklich und aufnahmetechnisch oberste Liga. Danke
это не работа, полная лажа, полное дерьмо
Fake, fake, fake.
No luthier was involved in this, maybe a furniture repair guy. Funny to watch incompetent people trying to do something out of their league. Bwawaha hohoho.
Yet another fake restoration video. BTW, that Strat is a Squier.
Total BS, no guitar gets in that state, yet the neck remains almost new, so many do this fake restoration now, natural body with a lacquered neck!! Awful!
Just "renovating" for youtube, not for the guitar.
fake, phoney blah blah.
Fender ply series 🙄 behave
A Joke,and such a fake
Dude is that the one I just sold you the other day? 🤦🏻
Complete bullshit
