They should learn a little from Season 8. That was Rupaul's Best Friends Race and everyone lived for it.
I believe is so we don't get a preview of what they are about to wear on the runway. The past season you could see pretty much everything and it ruined the surprise.
But we need like a 1 hour episode of gag reel before the crowning.
Season 8 didn't have the countdown episode and it sucked. I really hope there's one this time.

Phi Phi was talking about red paint to basically spill it on Katya's Lady Di dress. The joke was that Lady Di died in a car crash, hence the red on the dress would be blood.

I don't think Phi Phi is at that place. She still thinks she has to fight her way out of everything. Especially watching the video her why she went to jail def shows she has issues to work out.

It's getting obvious that Phi Phi is getting an unfair villain edit, and unjustified this time. She had a mouth, but you can really see the hand of the editor here to try and characterise her.
I feel if anything Roxxxy has changed probably for the better and Phi Phi is just trying to hide the fact that she still very much would like to tear someone or anyone down
Phi Phi and Roxxxy both have deep seated insecurities due to the trauma's in their past. Unfortunately they both deal with this by lashing out. Both have dealt with the backlash, both are trying to overcome it but the urges are still there. I really hope Phi Phi lasts long enough to really show it.

I mean, it just shows when they make it seem that Phi Phi wanted to sabotage and change Alyssa's Snatch Joan Crawford by simply commenting that she didnt have the accent of the character and that Alyssa wasn't characterising the personality correctly - but in the Snatch game itself, Alyssa did indeed neither characterise or really embody Joan at all. Phi Phi was correct, but it's being made to seem that Phi Phi is gunning the girls down. After Season Four, I'd be the first to call her out, but I think she's genuinely making good advice this time around. Even innocuous comments like calling Ginger's huge dress as being big are being manipulated it seems,
Either way, Alyssa way hilarious and I think she should have won the snatch game with Alaska.
of course the show doesnt give us phi phi being nice, i wonder why... ginger acting like katya's mum is so sweet, it just makes me sad she left, although i am happy katya stayed

They need to have (at least) a "villain" on each season because it's a popular formula that sells well. Sometimes, it's so forced, it's sad!
heronumber009 phi phi is historic for her cuntiness on season 4, it was impossible to get past it already and now the producers are fucking her up. The whole roxxxy snatch game situation for example seemed so forced, roxxxy asked her opinion and they just made it seem like phi phi was planting seeds of doubt like in season 4
come on she did it to 3 PEOPLE alyssa roxxy ginger i do believe the editors r shady asf but the words still came out her mouth i do feel shes gotten WAY BETTER from her season but i still wouldnt trust her

First of all, you should watch the Rupaul's Drag Race All Stars 2 Afterbuzz show on RUclips, they discuss each episode of Drag Race. And many things they said, I do agree with.
I don't think anyone is saying that Phi Phi turn from one of the biggest villains of Drag Race (along with Roxxy) into a saint. Nope!
But what people are saying is that she seem to get some unfair editing to make it look like she's still the same bitch on season 4.
The thing about editing that people need to know is that: they CAN'T edit in what you said, BUT what they CAN do is edit out the parts that you were being nice and helpful, to make you look like a horrible person all the time.
A clear example of that was Jasmine Masters on season 7. She did said some shady stuffs to the younger queens, YES!
BUT, if you watch some interviews some of the other queen on season 7 done after the show, they confirm that during the time she was there, Jasmine did go around helping the other queens with costumes and make-up and other stuffs.
BUT none of that make it on the show, which made her look like the nasty, bitter old queen all the time. Which result in a lot of people bully and abuse her on social media to the point that she thought of killing herself (as she said in the reunion).
BACK TO the Snatch Game, while I'm glad that Alyssa didn't change her character because she was funny as hell, I have to say that Alyssa character seem to be more Alyssa that Joan Crawford. So Phi Phi didn't lie when she told that to Alyssa.
And about Roxxy changing her character at the last minute, I think it was more because that Rupaul couldn't recognise her character in the workroom, rather than just what Phi Phi said (which seem like Roxxy asked Phi Phi for her opinion)
SO idk, it's hard to say that Phi Phi is playing the mind game with others OR she just tried to help and it come off as shady/suspicious because everyone keep remembering the Phi Phi from season 4.

Again, you should watch the Afterbuzz show, one of the person on the panel is a drag queen who worked with Alyssa before. He/she said that Alyssa can be a handful and over the top, and sometimes he had to leave the dressing room to get away from Alyssa for a while.
We all love Alyssa because of her personality. BUT remember that what we saw on screen is just a few minutes. These queens have to be in the workroom for hours (and listen to Alyssa). And Phi Phi seems to be the quiet, more reserved type which doesn't match very well with Alyssa personality. I don't think we can be mad at Phi Phi for making a few comments complaining about it.
With what she said to Ginger, again idk if it was mind game or she just try to give a helpful comment which come off bad.
BUT anyway, to me, it doesn't matter if it's mind game or not.
It's just a game show, these queens can play it the way they want. As long as they don't go as crazy and out of control and turn into bullying, I don't think it's a problem.
Each person is responsible for themselves and their own performance.
If you let other people's words affect your performance in a bad way,then it's on you. Sorry!
Look at Alyssa in Snatch Game for example, she listen to Phi Phi, BUT she decided for herself what she want to do and what she need to do.
phi phi is clearly making an effort but the way that she is portrayed on the actual show is screwing her over

i use to be so against phi phi because i agree "if you said something you should stand by it despite the edit" but after watching this video i realize she actually had moments where she was trying to be helpful and nice but the show edited those moments out or played some shady music behind it to have her come off as the evil one for the drama and the views. like they could've easily made katya into a villain i feel because she says some shady shit but because there's happy music behind it we think it's nonsensical humor. in another edit i feel we would be saying all the shit we say about phi phi toward katya or any other queen
aeonjoey i think every queen on the show has had moments where they're negative or doubtful because it's a stressful and hard show. all those moments for phi phi just happen to have been shown and her positive moments like this were edited out because when we see her in extras and in the real world she's a genuinely nice person. i think we do forget that it is a show and they're looking for drama anywhere not rupauls best friend race.
Brandon Marshall no she's just a very competitive person and she's lovely when not under pressure and is very genuine but the competition got to her like it got to roxxxy in Season 5

I am currently watching season 4 on hulu and dude. Phi Phi comes off so bad cause of the edits, especially later in the episodes when she is surrounded by people she dislikes. But you notice she has good heart in the season when she becomes friends with the latina queens and giving her phone call she won to Chad cause his anniversary was coming up. She is sweet with people she believes deserves it and is rude to those she believes are pathetic lol. I can relate to that.

Even though Phi Phi, acted like a crazy lady on her season, she was sweet and gave the phone call she won, to Chad, so he could speak with Adam his partner. Everyone has their different feelings about her(I too was disappointed that she acted that way)but I'm the type of person, who can't hate somebody I don't really know. If they've been mean, I notice it, but if they try making an approve meant for the better, I notice that even quicker. I also think that Phi Phi is kinda scared of Detox, so she's making sure not to get on Detox's bad side again. I do agree with Alaska, how people on social media, not needing to be so hateful. The backlash Phi Phi got, may have humbled her, but threatening someone's life, or threatening to pour acid on somebody they don't know, is beyond disgusting. Those same people need to ask themselves, would they want to be treated like that? Ijs

Especially, on social media, where, lots of people get verbally attacked over unnecessary reasons. It's ok to be a fan of someone, but it's also ok, if somebody else isn't a fan. We're not condoning Phi Phi's behavior, but it's sad how those threats, made her so depressed that she was scared to go out, and was considering on giving up drag, which is something she loves dearly. there necessarily isn't much to it but the fact that katya has embellished the image of a sweetheart and ginger has otherwise. this is going to sound ridiculous to you probably since you clearly see it as a double standard. but the reality here is that we saw katya and ginger against each other in s7. katya was that anxiety rushed-- yet extremely soft and sweet queen. but ginger was showcased as a brutally shady-- yet extremely talented queen. the award for congeniality was given to katya as she performed as the nicest queen, becoming a fan favorite, and what she is now. on the other hand, people still don't like ginger for her actions in s7, and it's hard for people to let go of that. point is, that katya is our little child who is, i guess, finally grown up. she doesn't have to give the same image and she doesn't. but the reason we don't read her on her words is because visually she's our xanax baby and we kind of always will treat her in that manner. yes, ginger would be destroyed, but that's because of how we saw her on the show.
