I work in construction. Before all of this, wearing a mask all day was an inconvenient and admittedly uncomfortable necessity while working in a dusty and possibly toxic environment. Now many of the same people I personally witnessed wearing a mask all day to protect their health are saying wearing a mask for more than a few minutes is harmful to your health. And the masks we’d regularly wear all day, while doing hard physical labor mind you, are way more restrictive than the light surgical mask a kid would wear on a leisurely day at school. I’ve always believed it’s impossible to be too cynical or to have too low and opinion of human reason and intelligence, but this has caught even me off guard.
Great point.. i would add when you left the work site and removed the mask you also werent infecting people with those harmful particles the way you can with an illness.
I also work in construction, where the majority of the workers are not very well educated so they join a trade...the only ones with any sense were the electricians in my experience.
Whoa, that is unbelievable to me. I made the decision to wear a mask because it just makes more sense to cover my face to keep from possibly infecting others. But more so to protect myself against contracting the virus. The thought of long covid and covid brain fog scares me to death. I just retired and I can't enjoy my retirement the way that I would like, but I know I would not enjoy being deathly ill. I am going to do everything in my power to protect myself. I watched a news show two years ago where a woman described one of her symptoms as, "feeling like glass in her lungs". Because I can almost imagine what that feels like, I do not venture outside my home. If I were a parent, I would not subject my child to a mask less school. It feels like politics or people. When the people on your job become ill from the dust and the toxins, that will be a sad day. Some of the exposure is preventable. Wow!
I definitely got acne more wearing a mask than not last year but not even close to as bad as I did being a kid. Also spent time around people who ended up having COVID and never got COVID so seems like masks did work.
I appreciate that one blonde woman with her hair done up who is clearly admitting she’s not sure about all this. If you’re acting confused, that means you’re willing to take any new information, and your brain is working to solve things.
I don’t get it though, if your not sure, why attend these protests if your unsure? Why do things to affect a change that your not really sure will help or hurt people?
North Carolinian here. I lived in Johnston County when this aired. This segment literally made me and my partner fully commit to moving out of Johnston county before our child started school. Thanks, Jordan!!!
I feel that last lady. I too feel stressed because whenever I run into someone wearing a facemask I'm not sure if they're trying to avoid Covid, they're Satanists in the middle of a ritual, or maybe they're ninjas. Life is confusing.
@Emily Smith Cherry picking the interviews doesn't make the people any less wrong or dumb. They are real people. And they are reflecting the views of the people who are there. Also, this isn't news, so bias isn't an issue, and there isn't a 'false narrative.' These are real people at real events. Nobody is saying every person there is the same. But the point is that these are real people.
We don't send our kids to school to be parented by the teacher or government. We send them to learn about history, even though the left is trying to destroy it and change it, and learn math and how to read and write. Leave the parenting to the parents.
Nah, at about 2:22, she's up on a ladder waving a flag as big as her tiny home. She's not nice and humble - like most people in these videos, she just got caught with a case of the dumbshits when confronted with having to actually discuss the things she's used to yelling about. It just so happens that her strain was particularly deadly.
I live in a pretty liberal area and for the most part people follow the cdc guidelines around covid. Maybe a little bit waning just due to fatigue over how long this is dragging on but for the most part people are doing what they can to help. Having said that, I know a few people who are VERY outspoken about masks/vaccine/covid/whatever. The antimaskers, man I cannot wait, I am counting down the days until Halloween. If any of them bring their kid over for candy and they have any sort of mask or face covering I'm telling them I'm calling CPS for abusing their child. Call me a sheep but I just don't think the masks are that big of a deal. Minor inconvenience? Sure. Worth protesting over? Nah.. I love the woman who said she won't vote for school board because it's just too much effort and time, but she will join an anti-mask rally.
You must not have young kids. Mine have complained about it and so have their friends. The answer isn't masking, it's getting vaccinated. All the data still shows that kids are extremely low risk from COVID-19. Those full ICU beds he mentioned are full of unvaccinated adults. Get vaccinated and you don't have to worry!
I’m so impressed with how quick Jordan is during these interviews; when I would just shake my head and walk away, he is able to get them to point out their own hypocrisy. Brilliant!
Dude it’s like every time, I love it. I don’t think right wing people like this will ever get the idea that their hypocrisy is right there in front of them.

I work at a school. Amazing how expressive the eyes of our students are, especially those of our Kinders . Children are resilient. It's truly a shame we can't say the same of these parents. Has anyone started a Jordan fan club? Sign me up! 👍
It’s almost like they have to consciously and actively learn how to read the eyes, I don’t take that as a bad thing. I’d think it’d make them more actively aware of their peers and social queues. Just my thoughts, I’m no expert lol.
As someone who regularly used cloth masks and live in a country where it’s normal, even way before the pandemic, I was so shocked to learn that there were people like them
Unfortunately that is increasingly common. Even people you'd consider rational might, when the conversation turns to a particular subject, start talking about the "research" that they've done. It's depressing that they don't realize the difference between reading about a subject and conducting actual research. Absorbing facts is only one step in the process that is research - then you have to learn a theoretical framework to use that empirical data in a useful way, you have to understand and present the limits of of your research method and you have to be aware of your own predispositions. Ultimately that's why real research conclusions are often full of caveats and calls for further study. It really is true, the more you know, the more you know you don't know.
I love how you are so clueless and ignorant that you think every scientist or doctor agrees with the Democratic Party narrative on covid. You might want to start with reading the University of Louisville study from earlier this year showing that masks do nothing to slow the spread of the virus, or the one from an Amsterdam hospital at the end of 2020 showing the exact same thing. Or maybe look up how Jay Bhattacharya (Stanford) and Martin Kulldorff (Harvard) have shredded the case for lockdowns. I think those two know a little bit more about science then you (and, btw, if you like dogs, you might want to look up how Fauci authorized numerous experiments on dogs, especially beagles, that resulted in their deaths). You’re welcome for teaching you today. I like to teach and you certainly provide an opportunity to do that.
@@quietreason8679 Right, so why don’t concede that masks, lockdowns, and vaccines might not work? Can you do that if indeed you believe there is uncertainty and nuance? But if you are looking for serious studies on masks, you may want to look up the University of Louisville study from earlier this year showing that masks did absolutely nothing to slow the spread of the virus. Jordan: "What's wrong with having children wear masks in school?" Woman: "Well, you're breathing in the toxins your body is trying to get rid of" Jordan: "How do surgeons do it?" 😂 Oh man, that was bullseye
Let me ask - studies show that kids who are exposed to more germs get sick less as adults, and vice versa. I'm sure you're familiar no? Do you believe this is true or false?
@@nofurtherwest3474 Probably true, though it's likely anecdotal. However, what does that have to do with children wearing masks to prevent them exhaling SARS-COV2 particles onto their teachers or classmates?
1 week after this protest 5 high schools in Johnston County were in lockdown due to online shooting threats. They are more worried about masks than real problems having an impact on our kids. Teacher shortages, schools being overcrowded and underfunded but there's no outrage for the real issues.
Yes these are the same parents called into the office after their child attempts to set fire in the school bathroom screaming at the principal and defending their child LOL
I saw a nice interview with him and one of the guys thats always with him during these events. Basically they take a lot of time studying the current news, and the topic at hand to come up with jokes, one liners, etc. Basically the people at these events are so incredibly predictable that its pretty easy to know and expect certain responses from people which they just play into with pre-written jokes. However, it is also true that he's very smart and quick witted and sometimes there are lines that he comes up with on the spot. In other words, its a bit of both apparently.

Hah I think you're right. The word "attempting" is the key in this case. But in all seriousness, It's indeed very scary. Last thing we need at the moment is a micro versions of the people who were in this video...
A post credited to Linda Gamble Spadaro, a licensed mental health counselor in Florida, sums this up quite well: "Please stop saying you researched it. You didn't research anything and it is highly probable you don't know how to do so. Did you compile a literature review and write abstracts on each article? Or better yet, did you collect a random sample of sources and perform independent probability statistics on the reported results? No? Did you at least take each article one by one and look into the source (that would be the author, publisher and funder), then critique the writing for logical fallacies, cognitive distortions and plain inaccuracies? Did you ask yourself why this source might publish these particular results? Did you follow the trail of references and apply the same source of scrutiny to them? No? Then you didn't....research anything. You read or watched a video, most likely with little or no objectivity. You came across something in your algorithm manipulated feed, something that jived with your implicit biases and served your confirmation bias, and subconsciously applied your emotional filters and called it proof."
Honestly I wanna say I actually do my research when I say I do my research, but no one is perfect I generally tend to google my topic, question, etc. Check out most of (if not all of) the first page of results and see what they all say, check who the publishers are (government sources are generally better than some news outlet) and the publishers' sources, then I determine whether or not they've reached a valid conclusion and realize whether or not I'm right. If I'm right, neat. If I'm wrong, neat, I learned something new

When I was in school we couldn’t wear certain clothes, like T-Shirts with swear words or skirts and shorts had to be knee long and people got sent home for not wearing proper attire. Heck some schools have school uniforms!!! We force people all the time to follow certain rules in certain institutions. There’s precedence and so many examples, so why the uproar over masks? It’s so hypocritical

Unfortunately, they share the value of minimal education. I know this is public school here, but where I live, you should see the parents who are homeschooling their kids. It's scary. Many of the parents can't read, write, add or subtract themselves. I'll ask them a question that requires basic education and, oops, deer in the headlights.
*Imagine following the 6 ft. guideline, wearing a mask, and geting your vaccinations...and STILL get COVID. The vaccine doesn't stop someone from getting, or spreading COVID. It's hilarious! But..."ThInK oF tHe KiDs."
I'm actually impressed that the one guy just simply agreed with public school being a form of co-parenting. That was some semblance of self-awareness that we don't usually see in these segments.
The vaccine admittedly does nothing to stop infection or stop the spread. The only alleged benefit is that it "lessens the symptoms" if you catch it. Except even before the vax most people only had mild symptoms or were asymptomatic anyway so there is zero actual benefit nor any risk from unvaccinated people. There is however a tremendous risk, already over 14,500 dead and over 675,000 reports of negative reactions. (And the # is likely much higher since most ppl don't even know what VAERS is) Just because they aren't on your TV doesn't make them less dead! Yes I know it's self-reporting. Do you really believe 675,000 people all conspired to make fake vaccine reports? That would be some conspiracy theory! As far as those scary COVID numbers? Hospital administrators were CAUGHT ON CAMERA scheming to fabricate Covid numbers and SCARE the public. How can you trust the same people who FUNDED the creation of the virus at the Wuhan lab to begin with? WAKE UP! Seems like an awfully big risk to take to willfully inject something proven to be fatal just to potentially reduce symptoms for something you are unlikely to even get in the first place and unlikely to even have severe symptoms if you did esp. if you don't have comorbidity. How can you trust the same people who FUNDED the creation of the virus at the Wuhan lab to begin with? The claim that unvaccinated are overcrowding hospitals is a media trick. If you only got 1 shot not 2 they consider you unvaccinated. So people take 1 shot and get sick from it and go to the hospital then they say the hospital is overcrowded with non-vaxxed. Look at England and Israel, they don't have the fraudulent reporting and most of their serious patient are vaxxed not non-vaxxed! Comedy Central is owned my CBS/Viacom. @Ownerthekpwner man, you’re totally right. It’s almost like, all adults and children 12 and older should get vaccinated. The point you tried to make would totally make sense, IF the parents were vaccinated. Does it look like any of the folks in this video protesting are vaccinated? You also completely discount the parents (or grandparents) who can’t be vaccinated due to medical issues. So back to the common sense point. We should all wear masks in enclosed spaces to prevent the spread of the virus, child or adult.

Wow!

But the point is that these are real people.
We don't send our kids to school to be parented by the teacher or government. We send them to learn about history, even though the left is trying to destroy it and change it, and learn math and how to read and write. Leave the parenting to the parents.

The worst part is they exploit their kids to protest here.
Bingo!
I live in a pretty liberal area and for the most part people follow the cdc guidelines around covid. If any of them bring their kid over for candy and they have any sort of mask or face covering I'm telling them I'm calling CPS for abusing their child.

I doubt it, because you are just a poseur pretending to be neutral when in reality you are a Democratic Party advocate.
But if you are looking for serious studies on masks, you may want to look up the University of Louisville study from earlier this year showing that masks did absolutely nothing to slow the spread of the virus. Start there to cure your ignorance.

“If you don’t want to co-parent with the government, don’t get pregnant in Texas” GENIUS

Heck some schools have school uniforms!!! We force people all the time to follow certain rules in certain institutions. There’s precedence and so many examples, so why the uproar over masks? Unfortunately, they share the value of minimal education. I know this is public school here, but where I live, you should see the parents who are homeschooling their kids. It's scary. Same with the lady who didn't vote in the board elections. All it takes are the right questions and a little bit of critical thinking
They are notorious propagandists and liars. They were even busted last year showing footage from an Italian hospital and claiming it was from NYC!

@Alexandria Muse right people like Jordan treat children like property and he isn't practicing social distancing with these Trump supporters who didn't take the vaccine, he can catch COVID if he keeps going near them especially that people with the vaccine can still get COVID.
