I lived in Abilene for decades and I assure you it is a large city and extremely busy now with even more traffic than before. I miss it though. I grew up there.
Home! What a neat video to watch! We're small and often have no major draws, but we've become adept at entertaining ourselves! haha. Thanks for sharing this, it was really fun to watch!
Was stationed at Dyess AFB and worked at Hendricks Medical Center E.R. On the weekends in the early 198Os. Thanx for the reminder that Texas is Flat”. I remember “Adam’s Rib Restaurant” Very Delicious!
I was born in Abilene but did not have the chance to grow up there. I ended up growing up in the San Antonio area. I'm pretty much set where I'm at but love coming to Abilene when I get the chance to see my family. My grandparents lived in a neighborhood right off Rebecca Lane/ Buffalo Gap Road. Definitely love what's happening to the downtown scene, and always gotta have my Jack and Jill Donuts when I'm there. And now I'm making the beer fest an annual tradition. Wish Pappy Sloakum could get some of his brews (specifically Stripper Dust) down in South Texas. I never leave Abilene without a 6 pack of Stripper Dust. Anyways, nice video. Always love seeing the sights of Abilene.
Thank you so much for the nice comment! I am going to stop by and check out Jack and Jill next time I’m there. I’m always looking for recommendations for places to go in Abilene. There is a barbecue place that I used to go to a lot a long time ago and I was see has closed.
I haven't seen Abilene since 1993😢😢😢 I love it so much. I went to Crockett Elementary school. We lived on South 7th, I remember there was an H.E.B. and Whataburger fairly near our home. This si so awesome
ACU…my college stomping grounds from “back in the day”. I’ve always said I wouldn’t mind ending up in Abilene again if the good Lord ever wants me there. Thanks for the memories.

The scenery of Texas roads is great! The traffic lights look different from other areas! 👍👍👍

My hometown
TEXAS FOREVER
The driving four hours calling in ceremony I live in Snyder
u should put where city u at ,,, its that whole abilene city
Nice Video
Why are there so few any people?
Probably time of day and week. It can be a *little* busy at peak times.
I know this is a weird question. But day of the week was that on?
I don't remember, but I am pretty sure it was a weekday.
@@DeceleratedTravel thank you very much
I lived there for seven years in the 1990s.. Not much has changed . Its considered an all American city.
Did you ever go to Harlow's? I was sad to see it was gone.
You think i can get a auto detailshop and minor auto repair pulling dents and engine work
Been living here for 18 years lol
Listen child molestation and drugs are everywhere we go it dont matter what city or state .
We want to transfer to Abilene. I hope the post office has an opening.
I hope it works out for you!

You talking nonsense.

I wonder if is a good place to live?🤔

Nothing to do out there

Do they really make people live here?
Lots of drugs and child molestation there
Aren't u talking about Los Angeles?
Just stay in the right parts of the city and you'll never run into a methhead
What?!
There are drugs in every town, Abilene is no different than any other. As far as child predators, I'd say we're well below national statistics.
