Hey, I’m really glad I found your channel. Never knew about the starvis 2 technology. And with your videos I am able to make a better choice that comes well in my budget.
I too had zero knowledge before eatching your videos. I would say yours are the best on webcams globally. No one makes it the way tou make it..zooming, day shot, night etc. Finally I have bought the 70mai m200 with Starvis 2. Thank you buddy..keep up the good work 🙌
Thank you for the review! Helped me to finalize 70mai. The only thing holding me back was 1080p resolution. But that doesn't seem to cause any issues. Wakanda forever!!
The only factor about 1080p is that it can read number plates only at a close range. 5-10 feet max. Beyond that it cannot. But having Starvis2 is a definite advantage over other 1080p cameras. You've made the right choice. Wakanda Forever 💪🏻
Just ordered a Nextdigitron Neo and then saw this video that the Bitrate was super high for the quality on offer ! That thing is going chew through memory cards. My transcend DP200 in its 9th year happily works with every old sd card thrown at it.
Excellent video. I would appreciate a video on generic questions about dash cams (if you haven't made one already). To begin with, how about these- What's the reason that dash cams record in clips of 1-3 minutes? Why is wifi on a dash cam a good thing to have? What's the use of ADAS in the Indian context? What is the point of having GPS In a dash cam?
Good questions. Here are the answers: 1. Dashcams record in clips of 1-3 minutes to avoid overheating the device along with making sure that if any one file gets corrupted, the rest of the video recordings remain intact (as they are separate files). 2. Wi-Fi on a dashcam is primarily for 3 reasons. To connect to the respective app in order to access and alter any settings, to view the live recording on the smartphone screen and lastly to transfer recorded files t o the smartphone (wirelessly) as and when required. 3. Use of ADAS in the Indian scenario is very minimal. Especially talking about ADAS in dashcams. OEM provided ADAS may be slightly better if not excellent than dashcam ADAS. Its not a very practical feature as far as I consider and is something not be considered of primary importance when purchasing a dashcam. 4. The whole point of having GPS in a dashcam is to pin point your (car's) exact location at the time of the incident/accident and also to provide info of the exact speed of the car at the said event (GPS records latitude/longitude position along with speed of the car and display's it on the recorded video). This serves as an important and relevant piece of evidence in insurance claims/court cases/accident issues etc to support your claim of being not guilty in such situations. Discovered a weird quirk in the Nexdigitron Neo. It triggers the collision emergency recording at the slightest of nudges, speed breakers, potholes, road imperfections. Those bits cannot be overwritten in loop and need to be deleted manually. This happens even at their lowest sensitivity setting. There is no way to turn it off completely as I verified with their customer care. Given the state of our pathetic roads, it's constantly recording emergencies, upto 20 times in a 1 hour commute, making it nearly useless for those install and forget about it type users. My older transcend is so much better in this regard.
