I don't think Boise State is at all likely to win this game... I actually have them as the team least likely to win in the quarter-finals this week. Taking nothing away from Jeanty, who i would have voted for for the Heisman.... Boise State played an Oregon team really close.... A Ducks team with a new quarterback who hadn't figured out their offensive line yet... Oregon gave away more sacks in those first two games and they have the rest of the season..... There were two turnovers in a row.. On consecutive offensive plays! (Again related to an offensive line that wasn't working yet). That was still a ducks that struggled against Idaho the previous week, before they really put themselves together properly.
I caught the live broadcast you both did, and I ended up rewatching several games for Penn State and those games were Bowling Green, Southern California, Ohio State, Minnesota and Oregon. I don't see any difference on Penn State especially with Drew Allar from the Bowling Green game to the Southern California game to the Minnesota game to the Oregon game. I've watched a QB who's actually regressed starting with the Ohio State then to Minnesota then the Oregon game. Watching the Big 10 title game Oregon was in coast mode once they got to a 21-10 lead. Allar has actually demonstrated a lack of ability to make the tough throws, and Penn State isn't built defensively to handle a "short" possession game. Regarding Boise State something the outside isn't paying attention to is how Boise State sets up their games, specifically in the 2nd half of the season. Madsen gets off to fast starts the passing game is there, and then in the second half you really see the Broncos lean on Jeanty with Madsen "struggling" with the adjustments but demonstrating the ability to pick up critical third downs whether that be through the air or with his legs. Penn State may have "more talent", but from a discipline standpoint, and a schematic standpoint, the Nittany Lions defense hasn't faced a coordinator like Dirk Koetter, which is why I think he's a true X factor in this game.
Boise is hanging their hat on the Oregon game that they can play with anybody -- yet Allar threw three TDs and ran for one against the same Ducks defense (more TDs vs Ore than Jeanty) and you're claiming he's "regressed?" If anything, Boise has regressed -- you have two one score wins against two three win teams in November -- Wyoming 17-13 and Nevada 28-21 -- and you didn't put away Wyoming until late in the 4th. Boise is struggling to close out bottom of the barrel teams (NCAA power rankings Nev # 115 and Wyo # 118) with the playoffs on the line and a Heisman RB who's averaging nearly 200 yards rushing in those games. Abdul Carter is the least of your worries. Dani Dennis-Sutton led the nation in TFLs until he got hurt -- and will be every bit the problem Carter is. Penn State's D line is too deep and too good for Boise. Offensively, Warren and Penn State's two headed monster at RB will be hard to handle. Penn State by 20+

Like literally the only reason Allar has "better" stats is because he's played one extra game. And to be fair, Boise State sat Madsen against FCS Portland State in the 2nd half, and in the 2nd half against Utah State and San Diego State. So Madsen has put up these stats equal to Allar's with at bare minimum a full game less (you can argue 2 full games, and a half of another). Let him have his yards. 38-17 PSU
@@RSeaker if he has his yards it's going to be more than 17 pts... dude gets his yards after contact... hence why he has so many TD's. I hope they do let him get his yards. thats a bad day for PSU. BSU understands how to use him to open up the pass game as well. Brother, PSU loses if he gets going.
What a silly title, it should be the other way around.
Yes, alot more. No offense

BOISE 36-31 LOL
I love watching takes from people who dont even watch boise state games. You just look at what it looks like on paper. This penn state bias wont stand! Also dirk koetter isnt underrated at all. You guys realize he coached in the NFL right?
So what did I get wrong
@LockedOnCollegeFootball glad you came back. Boise played bad football and Penn was more than ready! I won't be salty fan.
