    I've been using the Boil Boss for 5 years! It's a must have for crawfish boils.

    Frozen milk jug of water will do the same thing for free

      Generally, a 10lb bag of ice will drop the temp around 8 degrees. So from 212 to 150, you would need so much ice it would dilute the boil down to a Delaware spice level.
      Not sure a milk jug would cool any faster than a hose, this is simply a super convenient way to cool a pot quickly while freeing up your hands to do other things like hold a beer.
