Leaves a lot to be desired from Maresca and the players he’s picking and trusting to win matches. However, preseason means little to nothing when it comes to the actual season. As a Celtic fan, it’s a penalty lad. He’s gone down easy to win it and it is frustrating but it’s given 99% of the time. Young bhoy will learn from that.
The true dive in the match came from Fofana on the touchline. That was actually embarrassing and I’d be getting him out my team if he played for us. Centre backs should be big and scary, not throwing themselves and screaming like a child.

I read enzo’s post match interview we made mistakes in high line when not pressing, we should’ve dropped deep when not pressing and 0:40 is the example to it, we weren’t pressing but we maintained a high line.
3:11 we reacted slow, we should’ve dropped deep and mark the opponent’s runs.
2:44 it is sanchez fault that he didn’t go long, but it’s also Badiashille fault that he didn’t pass the ball to Sanchez back (sideways downward?)
Most of it aren’t tactical at all. The tactical error ones are probably long ball and short passes we’re still confused at times. high pressing and drop deep when defending (we did well on the ball but we could’ve done better off the ball)
We were unlucky with finishing, marking free players are basic in defending, tracking opponents runs are also basic in training, passing is also was and is in the fundamental training. And decision making are up to the players when to go long when to go short.

Am i the only one seeing how the other teammates never favor Mudryk at all when he's playing, by not passing him the ball as much? My personal opinion, passing/vision wise i rather have Mudryk over Madueke, who way too often chooses the wrong option attacking (sometimes even the shooting, at their own still to improve way, i find Mudryk better, which we can see more when he plays for Ukraine).

That game was Celtic’s last pre season before there season starts. It was our second game. Fitness levels at a different stage and manager has had longer with his players. People need to calm down. No injuries is more important at this stage.
Basil Brush didn't make his debut, though; so we're not ready yet.
Celtic fan here and Yes, Celtic further on in pre-season, but they still scored twice in last 15 with 3x U20 academy players and the rest second string. No excuses for Chelseas mediocrity with the £billions spent!
Just to put this into perspective:
Celtics first two preseason games were against a semi-pro Ayr Utd team and a amateur Queens Park team. Third game was against 15th place DC United before playing Man City + Chelsea. Both English clubs would have been better tuning and building up fitness to Celtic by playing a few lower level teams first instead of a serial winning team in Celtic who start season next weekend and building for the coming Champions League.
Class giving this small club a pre season game and some international lime light.

As a Celtic fan I would say that going forward Chelsea looked good and could have scored 5 but what was glaringly obvious was the high press which was caught out so many times….if they play like that during the season it will be enjoyable for neutrals to watch as there won’t be any 0-0 draws. That said, you have plenty of excellent players to come back so it’s best to know the flaws before the season starts. Good luck in the new season

• The high line killed us.

• The two DMs stabilized the team in the 2nd half

This has me so concerned for the upcoming season! Getting rid of Poch was a huge mistake after how he finished the season. He had an insane amount of injuries throughout the season to deal with and played players out of position out of necessity but Maresca is doing it with no excuse and we are just supposed to go along with it? James playing CDM (inverted full back?!) is such a waste of his abilities, Colwill left back, Fofana playing right back and Benoit our only central CB and we are looking to sell our strongest CB in Chalobah?! Absolute madness... Look how spread out our defence was and how easy it was for Celtic! If Maresca doesn't see his tactics are not working and fix it ASAP we are in for a very long season!
