Thank Chief Midegah for us. This is obviously very special even sacred and we are very fortunate that he shared this with us. Very few present day cultures experience reverence so this is very precious.
I am a granddaughter of Powhatanee, (sp incorrect)and Chief Midegah and I are also related as cousins we share the lines of Joseph Smith Jr, and John Taylor, and Brigham Young, and president Nelson, and many many of the cousin lines to the past prophets of lds ancestry. Gobsmacked is what I was to recently discover this. If each of you will get on RELATIVE FINDER/ BYU designed, you may also get huge surprises. I share this not in the wrong pride, but only in shocked humility.
That feature is awesome! It's so cool that all of this points us back to the temple & to Christ & our Father & Mother in heaven. This is all so beautiful. Thanks for reminding me of that app feature! 🙏🤓 ❤
Can I ask where or be given a hint to where the mound was in utah? A little research mentioned there was stuff north of nephi and provo. I sure wonder there's a hill west of Kingston that may be an ancient mound
I pray that these artifacts can be protected so that we can further study and test them. I don’t want to hear “oh they just burned in a fire” I would be so upset.
That is amazing. Thank you for sharing. "The Lamanites must rise in majesty and power. We must look forward to the day when they will be "white and delightsome" (2 Nephi 30v6) sharing the freedoms and blessings which we enjoy; when they shall have economic security, culture, refinement, and education; when they shall be operating farms and businesses and industries and shall be occupied in the professions and in teaching; when they shall be organized into wards and stakes of Zion, furnishing much of their own leadership; when they shall build and occupy and fill the temples, and serve in them as the natives are now serving in the Hawaiian Temple where I found last year the entire service conducted by them and done perfectly. And in the day when their prophet shall come, one shall rise . . . mighty among them . . . being an instrument in the hands of God, with exceeding faith, to work mighty wonders (2 Nephi 3V24) Brothers and sisters, the florescence of the Lamanites is in our hands. May we not fail them, I pray, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen." (The Lamanites;Elder Spencer W. Kimball)
would you care to share a word on the long silenced west papuan genocide i mean yano gobai has had two brothers murdered this year. he posts videos of his songs and his life, the helicopter with the machine gun landed last week. i mean it would be fantastic if someone in the world would talk about that i think it's really fascinating don't you. watch that and find out.
So this is a song from the perspective of the Great Peacemaker? It sounds like Jesus Christ Himself could have sang this!? Maybe my favourite line: “…I move creation because I live like a child” Then some other lines that initially stick out to me: “Kindness is my path the only answer to be found” ..heart my great medicine” “We bring strong healing with our hearts to all creation”
If Joseph Smith was just copying from the Ojibwe lodge ceremony he would have started doing the full endowment right away in Kirtland, however the full temple ceremony wasn’t fully revealed to Joseph for many years. At first in Kirtland the ceremony involved washing of feet anointing with oil and patriarchal blessings. The endowment ceremony as we know now wasn’t revealed to Joseph at first, it came line upon line precept upon precept and some of it after the martyrdom through other prophets of the restoration. It came through much pondering and praying and many revelations and visitations from Angels and Diety to which Joseph was not the only witness. Joseph saw a vision of God the Father and Jesus Christ and received the plates just as he said he did, he knew he could not deny this or he would be cursed by God. He took his calling very seriously. He suffered being, hunted, poisoned, beat to the point his spirit left his body, tarred and feathered and eventually killed for his testimony. The scrolls add validity to what Joseph received through revelation. He did not copy anything from Native Americans. The fact that the modern endowment and Ojibwe lodge ceremonies are similar just emphasizes his prophetic calling to restore things. Plain and precious things may have been lost that needed restoring. The Book of Mormon needed to come forth when and where it did for the restoration to take root and survive.
Agreed. AND if the endowment ceremony truly existed in the Ojibwa lodge, as alluded to, then there would have been no need for a restoration because it already existed.
It’s a beautiful song, but I don’t see anything here that is revolutionary, or speaks to the restoration gospel of Jesus Christ. Three brothers - are we supposed to presume that these are the three Nephites? Seems stretched to me, like it’s trying to be made to fit something.
But listening to Chief Midegah and Brian Nettles, they are indeed making claims to connection, or at least alluding strongly to it. Are you really saying that a claim of connection is not the point? I just want to have an honest conversation. There’s a lot here that’s compelling, for sure, but I want to be grounded, too.
These are all Ojibway Ottawa (traders) and the Patowatami (fire keepers) adik doodem are the caribou clan deer Moose Elk etc.
Thank you. I knew I was somewhere on track but not quite getting it.
Very enlightening.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but the hand reminds me of Abraham 3:12. Grateful for Chief Midegah sharing this with us

white pipe stone found on the giant man in one of the utah mounds

Any news from him meeting with an Apostle of Jesus Christ? Interested to learn how these things were recieved
I don't have news other than it had to be postponed for a couple reasons. Hopefully soon but hopefully will still happen soon.

I long the message on the scrolls!
I do also.....
The bird looks like the Michigan tablets and the snake like the serpent mound
@20:12 that looks very simular to Item 7 (in A FACSIMILE FROM THE BOOK OF ABRAHAMNO. 2) What is it?
A throne (it chair)
@@latter-daywatch Do you think it looks very simular? That is also what is in Fac 7
That is amazing. Thank you for sharing.

scripture in BoM says that the "natives" (Laminates?) will come & help build New Jerusalem etc.
Seek and ye shall find Kock and it shall be opened unto you

indeed. Background music in a show like this, is not only distracting, but also annoying. Thank you

If you will study the Joseph Smith Papers, you will see that what we have today was changed and messed up by Brigham
@joyfulsurety can you say more?
Thank you for turning off the music, many fo us elderly have hearing isses, need clarity and concentration

It isn't the point to make a claim of connection. It is just about sharing. This isn't for the LDS but for anybody interested in hearing it.
