Thank you so much for an outstanding video. I am torn between acquiring one of these two. How does the GT Tactical carry in the pocket?

I have an ultratech and I have a very calloused thumb also 🤣
I want to get a GT 035 now also because I agree with what you said about spending that much on a knife so it should be not too hard to deploy. I can deploy and retract my ultratech now without it hurting my thumb but in the first week or so my thumb was rubbed so raw. I took apart my ultratech and oiled and cleaned every part really well which I think helped reduce the friction in it plus the spring seemed to soften up a bit after cycling the knife like a thousand times while watching TV and wearing gloves.
Anyways thank you for the video, I am more convinced I want a GT 035 now just for the user experience part of it. But I still like my ultratech now that my thumb has built up strength. I look forward to your next comparison video. Take care man.

How has the Recon 035 held up after a year?

Looking to buy my second OTF. I have a Dirac and I am looking for something around that price range that shoots out smoother. I also want a little bit bigger as well. I like your video bc you sorta gave me a view as if they were at the store and I got to play with them real quick. I am left handed and like that the Ultratech bc of the ability to move the clip to the opposite side so I can carry it on the left side. But I heard so much hype about how awesome the button is on the recon and it’s able to be opened and closed faster bc of the bearings making it easier to actuate. So my question is as well, is it a lot faster bc of that? And what’s your opinion on my hunt? Also I’m gonna watch the battle in Detroit video next. Ty

Microtech you gotta practice the right technique with the switch. Push out on switch and not down. Lots of first time owners make same mistake until it’s explained more clearly on the proper technique. Nice knives👍

Really? Seems simple to me. Just push forward on the button like all otfs and boom! Your knife is open.

Great knife for EDC, only issue is the pocket clip tension is weak in my opinion

After getting my recon 040, I don't have a desire to get another Microtech otf.

Does it feel large carrying it every day?

@@davidliftsheavycircles I don't carry it every day but it's not a problem. I keep a firearm in my right front pocket so I carry my knife in my right cargo pocket. I can carry a six inch cold steel holdout 1 or ti-lite kris in that pocket so the recon 040 isn't an issue for me.

Just received mine, the action seems more difficult than yours. Not that big an issue for me but wife and maybe my son would have more of an issue.
