Got so bummed at the safari zone toxicroak encounter not showing if he caught it or ran, but oh well

I hunted shiny Piplup starter in BDSP I got it after 3 uncatchable Starlys and 8518 resets
Aye congrats. I did all three. Super fun and chill hunt. I believe over the 3 starters I had 5 uncatchables

How do you enter the pokedex with select it doesn’t works for me
It’s the y function. You have to select the check box in the form pages of the particular Mon you want it to bring up
You’ll also have to unselect your bike so that it goes straight to it
I assume you’re referring to the gen 5 genies right?
