well, i learned abit of french and japanese.... somehow i think the two languages r similar altho i can't really explain y.... but i suppose they hv an artistic sense beyond the appreciation of the english world... so that might explain it...
I know many Japanese singers who sing well. Kokia is the one who has a special voice. Her voice just make you feel good. Make you feel like in Japan...maples, snow, Kyoto, cloudy, little rain. I don't know how to explain.
It's nice to hear that she is being welcomed by Western or other listeners widely. Hope more of Japanese singers will be heard and liked. There are a lot more of them.
