Hi Jonathan great video many thanks, I'm British but I totally agree with you about American music it's what I mainly listen to especially West Coast music although my last album of 2023 was Jeff Beck Group Rough and ready, looking forward to more of your videos in 2024 .
I love a lot of music from the UK, but the wide range of music from the US swayed me. I was lucky enough to have seen Jeff Beck back in 67, when he had that new singer, Rod something or other. Thanks for watching
Hi Jonathan thanks for doing the vinyl tag it’s really appreciated.. you made a strong case for the 60s but then you said you had no 7 inch singles 😀. So I’m sticking with the 80s 👍. I’m liking your dinner party guests .. I was fully on board with America then you mentioned the velvet underground 😀.. I have sgt peppers ✔️ loving that you were at Woodstock 😀 such a fun response everyone is knocking it out of the park .. cheers Jonathan👍
What I a treat to see the 10inch of Robert Johnson's Terraplane Blues. 60s were indeed a wonderful decade for the reasons you mentioned. Enjoyed watching. Happy 2024.
Hi Jonathan, Happy New Year as well. Great responses to the questions. Saying you were at Woodstock will always make you the coolest member of the VC in my opinion.
I have a Magic Sam compilation album that I love. I will have to look for that repress that you showed. It's always great to see Warren Zevon as well as Tom Waits. Great tag.
Hey Jonathan! I really enjoyed your tag. Most of your records look beautiful and pristine. There was some truly amazing music in the 60s. I almost chose Woodstock for my answer as well (except I wasn’t there!) . Really cool. Looking forward to catching more of your videos!
Hi Jonathan, in 2019 you`ve shown the central park sheiks in one of your vids. Some days later, I`ve bought that record from a record shop in italy. I love this album too! Thank you!
Loved your list up here and I’m a big ton of some of the same stuff, particularly Zappa, and while I love his music, not sure how great of a dinner guest he would be, haha! And greetings and Happy New Year from Tokyo!
Love the Zevon - Stand in the Fire is incredible and I need to find the extended version of it. Love that Tom Waits album and a great pick for the 50th. Zappa would be an absolute blast at dinner. Cheers! -Alex
Nice response Johnathan! I have been avoiding 7 inches as well, if I start getting into 7 inches, especially all the old reggae 45s, I'm not sure if I'll run out of space first or money first lol. Bob Marley is also coming to my dinner party, I hope they are not on the same night! Happy New Year.
When I was a kid, back in the 50’s 60’s I never understood the appeal of 45’s. I think they were .59 and whole albums were $2.49. Never made sense to me to buy 2 songs when I could save up and get the whole album. I’ll make sure to check with you on a date for our dinner party. Thanks for watching
Is that Black Magic a reissue? It looks brand new. That Yardbirds was the last album I listened to before shooting my vinyl tag. I placed it in the background.
Yes that Black Magic is a reissue I found on Amazon recently. Got feed up looking for an original. I could have picked any one of hundreds of LPs for that question, but decided on that Yardbirds because it was in heavy rotation in high school. Thanks for watching and Happy New Years
I love the Sinatra at the Sands album, great banter. Awesome to see Pokey LaFarge, hardly anyone else I know has shown him. I love that Paul Simon album. If you're interested, I just made an Americana tag a couple of days ago and you'd be perfect for it. Take part if you'd like!
Tgat might be quite a dinner party with those guys! Yeah we also lost Tina. That is really cool that you can say that you were at Woodstock. Movie from it has been important for me though I haven't seen for a while. mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)

It was a good tag this year. Thanks for putting it together. Not a VU fan ? Thanks again and Happy New Years
Hi Jonathan! I am always amazed at your recollections of Woodstock! So cool my friend! This was a very enjoyable video per usual. ✌️
Thanks. I can’t truthfully say I remember it all, but enough to make it real. Thanks for watching and keep ‘em spinning

I totally agree. Thanks for watching

I love your answer for the walking into the Woodstock record cover.
Great Tag☘️
Yea, I’d definitely go back. The more I thought about it I’d change my dinner guests. Woody Guthrie, Bill Bragg, Johnny Cash & Bruce
Nice response! Zappa would be a must for the dinner table. Love Chunga.
Thanks, Zappa was my first thought
I have a Magic Sam compilation album that I love. I will have to look for that repress that you showed. It's always great to see Warren Zevon as well as Tom Waits. Great tag.
Sam was one of the greats. Gone way too soon. Thanks for watching
Excellent entry Johnathan
Thanks
Lovely stuff Jonathan. Great choices. Amazing to be at Woodstock
Must attempt this vinyl tag myself. Happy new year!
I’ll look out for your tag. Thanks for watching

I’m trying to weed out the ones that aren’t really clean. It’s a process. Thanks for watching.
Great justin Towns album! That Lee Morgan album has been on my want list for a long time. Great video
Thanks for watching ! I’ll check out yours tonight. Happy New Year’s

That’s great that you found a copy and that you like it. That’s what I like about the VC, discovering new music. Thanks for watching
Fun response. Thumbs up! Trish
Thanks
I enjoyed watching your video and seeing your choice s. Roy Block is a treasure.
Glad you liked it and thanks for watching

I’ve got to agree with you about Zappa, probably not the best choice for dinner. Thanks for watching, arigatou !
Love the Zevon - Stand in the Fire is incredible and I need to find the extended version of it. Love that Tom Waits album and a great pick for the 50th. Zappa would be an absolute blast at dinner. Cheers! -Alex
Zappa was an immediate choice for me. Zevon was one of the greatest for sure. Thanks for watching. PS- I just subbed you

Ten inch records are cool, and I have fallen down the seven inch rabbit hole.
I’m still resisting. There’s too many 12” LPs I want. Thanks for watching
Awesome
Thanks
Interesting choices. I know what you mean about that Paul Simon LP. I seldom listen to it these days. One of those albums that's always with you.
There was a time when that was in heavy rotation. Thanks for watching

I’ll definitely check it out. Right up my alley. Thanks for watching
I think you'll love it

I was trying to show a band from Manchester VT but i had no albums from any of them. Nice tag Jonathan.
There’s also a Manchester, NH. Thanks for watching !
