i just reciently changed from a 2nd gen to a 4th gen ipod, and while i like the speck pixelskin cases, my opd one obviously doesnt fit. most cases just have a lip around the edge. speck has a large one to cover the home button panel. the 4th gen speck doesnt however. on a hunt for a new case i came across vids and pics of the griffin action. has a lip for both top and bottom, and a dogbone style which provides a little more shock absorb for the corners for corner drops. the strap is an easy fix
@GadgetMadness sorry i thought the 4th gen had an ambient light sensor for auto-brightness (apparently not) but that hole couldn't work for AB because your hand could be there and its pointed down... regardless, this case is still flawed, but better than all of the cases with comparable prices
no hole or the light sensor, the silicone piece for the up volume button doesn't directly contact the button so theres a gap in there, the square in the circle for the home button isn't centered, and the little piece of silicone on top isn't lined up AT ALL with the power button. poor quality for a $20 case, but i guess all of that rubber protects from shock VERY well... oh and the wrist cord just gets in the way, unless you play those sports games that require you to swing your ipod around! LOL
@tonyisback11 the case is awesome i found it for 4 dollars at my tj maxx ,but yea it is good for every thing and it is not bulky at all but kinda heavy at first in your pocket
would you reccomend this case even though i dont game much. i play games but i use it more for music. it just looks nice and comfortable. also, is it bulky and annoying in your pocket? thanks

and this case does cover the ambient light sensor, which is the purple dot to the right of the front camera
@GadgetMadness The hole on the back is the microphone. google it or just blow into the hole while recording in voice memos...
@GadgetMadness umm no that's the mic.. the light sensor is on the front right corner of the deivce...
