He really did. I doubt even Gazef would've been able to put up much of a fight. And the even cool thing is. Coccytus' physical attack nullifier skill didn't activate. We saw it during the lizardmen slaughter. It puts up a really thin barrier around Coccytus' and completely nullifies physical attacks under a certain level cap. But for Brain, he landed a strike on him. The skill didn't trigger.

@@xinf3ctdx yea but yggdrasil was an obvious pay to win and aggressive MMORPG to the point they have give a mecha suit to new players so could catch up to top players, am guessing levels were pretty gridy there.
For those of you who didn't read LN, Brain's last hit wasn't a replicate of Gazef's 6 light slashes. Gazef's original version is an AOE attack that lacks accuracy to even hit one entity. Brain's True Nail Clipper is an enhanced version of it that guarantees all six slashes landing on a needle-narrow spot with precision, therefore deals damage to high level targets by the pin-point where normally would have been impossible for NW dwellers. He really reached the pinnacle of humanity(Non-player-blood) in his last moment. The author stated that Overlord is a novel that defies plot armor, so we are unlikely to see him again in the last two vols.
Well that's suck I'd was hoping that when they instead of killing him they should ask him to join their ranks just like Ainz tried to ask Gazerf for him to join Nazarek.
@@RicardoPerez-rz8pu In the Web Novel something similar technically happened, as when Shalltear defeated him the first time she transformed him into a vampire and her minion, he was seen just as nazarick later, and we even saw him fight that worker with the elven slaves rather than Hamsuke.
@@shadowLDrago4084 That was from the web novel, the light novel (the revised story version basically) is what the anime follows. So it doesn't apply anymore
Brain Unglus is the most impressive Pure New Worlder (no Player blood) in the series. He is the actual peak that humans can get to in that world. After drinking those potions, he was the equivalent of a Lv. 40 meaning he had reached the ‘Realm of Heroes’ according to people of the New World. In fact, he had surpassed the Realm of Heroes, because he was already within the range before drinking the potions (about Lv. 30-33). In that moment, he had surpassed Gazef Stronoff. It’s also crazy just how much influence Sebas Tian had on Brain, as he took Sebas’ words to heart in order to improve himself, and lived by them until the very end. The craziest thing is that we will never know how much damage True Nail Clipper would have actually done had it hit Cocytus’ wrist because Cocytus actually moved faster than Brain and slashed him before Brain’s katana could even connect. Considering his level and skill, and the fact that the Katana he was using didn’t have magical properties, Cocytus passive nullification probably wouldn’t have activated against the hit. Brain was always going to challenge any threat to the Kingdom, but the reason he was in this exact location was that there was a family that had not escaped yet in one of the houses behind him. When he saw a monster walking down the street trampling and freezing everything, he completely forgot about wanting to fight Ainz, and he actually got angry because it was the same street that he walked down with Gazef, Sebas and Climb, and it was also the street where he met Gazef, so for Brain, the monster was disrespecting those memories. So despite initially being enraged, the reason Brain looked so happy, and died with a smile on his face, was that such a higher being acknowledged his name and presence, and gave him a warriors respect. Compare it to Shalltear who had no idea who he was, and didn’t care to give her name. Cocytus showed Brain complete respect from the get-go. Acknowledged his name and returned his own in favour, and immediately drew his God Slaying Emperor Blade (a weapon he reserves only for worthy opponents). He preserved his body, and took his regular Katana to show complete respect for the warrior he was. Cocytus then decided to walk around Brain, and not freeze the area that was behind him to acknowledge what the warrior had accomplished. Even if it was just a metre squared of the Kingdom; Brain had given his life to protect it, so Cocytus refused to walk over his corpse and trample on that land to show that Brain did not die in vain, and he had managed to protect something. Cocytus continues to be the most fair member of Nazarick. As long as you fight with a warriors spirit, no matter the odds, and surprise him with feats he didn’t think were possible, he will show you respect and may even make a case for you to his superior. The only reason he didn’t choose to ask Ainz to bring Brain back to life to serve Nazarick was to respect what he died fighting for. Despite that, he still chose to preserve his body. That portion of the Kingdom will remain untouched and that is Brain’s greatest accomplishment in life, because it means that he was acknowledged by Nazarick itself, let alone the Sorceror Kingdom. Anybody that finds the ruins of the kingdom will see this spot unmarked and they will know that Brain Unglas died successfully protecting it. Considering we’ve been following this character since Season 1 it is kind of sad to see. From having Shalltear completely destroy Brain’s confident and will, to Sebas patching it up and mending it, to Gazef stocking it, and finally Cocytus acknowledging it, which reinvigorated it even further. Brain Unglas died a hero’s death and is the best humanity is ever going to get in the New World on pure skill alone.
👏👏👏YOU REALLY SAID IT, IM ACTUALLY MAD YOU DON'T GET THE LIKES YOU DESERVE ON THIS AWESOME WELL DETAILED COMMENT. B-GOD DIED A HERO AND A PEAK OF MANKIND'S POWER TO REACH

I absolutely love the attention to detail and how honorable he was to walk around the body to make sure none of the Army members marched and touched him, only one episode left and the capitals practically already fallen👌🏾
He went out like a G. Then the truest of G’s gave the highest respect a warrior could receive! Cocytus best guardian, always respecting worthy foes despite the gap
Brain literally became a hero for a moment... The last hero of that kingdom before it's fall, rip. I know it would go against the warrior pride and he wouldnt want it but I do hope he returns.
It is impressive considering that he went from being filthy criminal that allowed the man that served under him to do a lot of horrible things to progressing as a character.
The way i interpreted this scene Is that Brain succeeded in blocking Cocytus' path, and forced him to go around, it costed him his life, but he succeeded none the less That, along with being able to leave his mark on Shalltears body, by clipping her nail, he managed to leave an effect on 2 floor guardians, something that nobody else has managed to do
He can basically be argued as the most impressive New Worlder on his feats alone (not counting literal levels and the dragon lords/godkin) as no one else has faced against a floor guardian twice and survived before ultimately falling the third confrontation (tho we as the audience know it’s because of circumstances but I digress)
@@nfrance999 new worlder is a big word like hes just a human nothing less nothing more.. and he somehow managed to be the strongest for this moment only.. that very short period of time he managed to show that humanity isn't that weak
Cherry on top. Cocytus' nullification skill didn't activate. When Frost Pain hit him, the barrier came up. It didn't here. Brain actually hit him. He did 0-1 damage, but that was an honest 0-1.
What I love about Overlord is that we have had a character that went through 3 seasons of character development. Going from an arrogant youth to an experienced veteran and still dying like a mob character. Any other story would make him the mc. Here he is just a slightly more interesting side character. I love it. Brain is one of my favorite characters and while I’d have liked him to do more you just don’t see an end like this for characters that got as much attention as he did.
Cocytus is actually so polite. The anmount of respect he showed for someone that didn't even began to reach half of what his strenght was. Was amazing too see
The immense amount of effort Brain gave to even try and get through Cocytus And the amount of respect Cocytus gave to him, using the sword his creator gave him before leaving the game, and perserving his body and treasuring his sword after the fight This is how true warriors fight with respect RIP Brain Unglaus, a True Warrior
The absolute respect given to Brain. The double back to ensure whoever saw Brain, knew that he did protect the street. The street that he met Gazef on. The determination to go against death and protect a family that could not escape. The true warriors determination to go against the forces of death without fear. Gazef was a true hero among men.
Brain, one of the few to have actually caused some damage to a level 100; even if it was only to clip a nail. He shared the same death as Gazef, unable to reach their opponent but with died with their respect regardless. The Kingdom deserved neither of them.
There is something cosmic in Brain's story line. A proud warrior who was overcome by the fear of meeting entities whose power was out of his comprehension. Still, he managed to push himself to the limits of human strength and faced one of those entities knowing well he would succumb. His fate was bittersweet to me because sometimes there are things in life that are beyond my strength but perhaps the struggle alone is enough to make a small difference, just like the street Brain protected. RIP brave swordsman
@@karlgoodman9194 also, the same street where they fought the fingers, and the same street where they met Sebas. That street had a lot of meaning to him
The way Cocytus walked around him leaving some ground untouched by ice, idk but made me feel great that this would be Cocytus way of showing respect as a warrior and him going around!👌
They really nailed this, Brain Unglaus's spirit will be forever remembered as the ice he was encased in doesnt melt. He will be remembered as the sole man who halted Ainz Oal Gown and his army. However i'd like to know how much Unglaus could have leveled up with proper training in Nazarick.
My guess is around lvl 60 cause thats the threshold causing damage to a lvl 100 creature that automatically prevents damage from low levels, like ainzs ability. Also the battle maids are all around lvl 60 with entoma being the lowest at 59 if im remembering correctly and solution being in the 70s
Maruyama said in the LN that at this point he had already surpassed Gazef Stronoff, and Gazef was around level 30. Cocytus determined that this attack was about level 40. Pretty nuts honestly, the fact that it was an improved version of an attack that actually managed to sever a body part of a level 100 guardian (Even if it was only a nail LOL) really says a lot about its power, he was really on his way to enter the realm of legends.
"However i'd like to know how much Unglaus could have leveled up with proper training in Nazarick." this is his limit, in the light novel is said that not only he surpassed gazef but broke the rules of the world, and he was able to enter the realm of heroes in the end, the realm of heroes is between lvl 30-35 but brain with this attack was able to make an attack the rivals lvl 40 that would make him an outliner someone above heroes
I mean not sure if you understand the meaning but its because Shaltear blocked his Atack once with just her Nail and mocked him that the Atack could not even Clip her Nail.
Brain did so damn well. And did anybody else notice that Coccytus' anti weapon skill didn't activate? Coccytus has a skill the completely nullifies physical attacks that are under a certain level threshold. And when the skill itself activates it puts up a thin barrier and the weapon doesn't even make contact with Coccytus' shell The fact that brains sword actually touched him means he was above the level cap for the skill to not work. He worked so hard. Brain as he is now would've been able to beat all five of the Lizard Men chiefs.
@@luccavalentinw.fiorini2302 Nah the lizardmen are all below level 20 with only zaryusu(the strongest) being level 20 flat. At this point, brain was in the realm of heroes 30-35 and capable of unleashed a lvl 40 attack using potions and his talent for focus capacity. I think he stomps the lizardmen.
For those who are curious the reason why Cocytus as depicted in this show and his affiliatation with ice is because he's a reference to the final layer of hell, the freezing hell, Cocytus, of Dante's Divine Comedy Which itself is based upon an ancient Greek river of the same name
Cocytus is probably my favorite guardian. He's not as soft as Sebas, but not even close to as heartless as Demiurge. He's a loyal servant of Ainz who will carry out whatever violent crusades he demands, but he doesn't belittle and mock the the people who stand in his way. He won't even remotely hesitate to slay his enemies while still understanding the weight of their lives and respecting them. He's definitely one of the more morally balanced guardians. This adaption is good, but I like how the book emphasizes Brain's joy at being acknowledged by a superior warrior like Cocytus. A being who knew they were many leagues above him going out of their way to face him as an equal was the happiest moment of his life, and also, when you think about it, probably a great way to truly heal from the trauma of what Shaltear did, mocking and humiliating him; which is a complete contrast to Cocytus here.
@@Battleguild Haha, I know man, I saw the full episode. But even then, the book has like, an entire two paragraphs describing Brain's thoughts in the moment. It's not a criticism of the show to say the book did this part better; it's simply a part that could *only* be done so well in a book. The show nailed this scene with the tools at it's disposal.
He's on the Good side of Neutral. If left to his own devices he's one of the Guardians I'm sure wouldn't go on random killing sprees. He ultimately sees himself as a tool of the Supreme Beings and happy to serve as one. But that said I do like how he clearly has a code of honor and respects those who give it their all, showing even the weakest of opponents respect and remembering their names when the bulk of his colleagues couldn't be bothered to remember their faces much less their names. Even when he knows he's gonna win, he'll treat the fight seriously and give opponents an honorable death. Also, a small bit, but I do like him mentioning his Creator. I like the moments when the NPC's stop and wonder if their makers would approve of their actions. In this instance I think Cocytus is right in that his father would approve.
I love that the sad song begins as soon as Brain activates his power thus empathising the fact there is no suspense here and that his defeat is inevitable
Brain must have been so confused at the end. One moment he was attacking Cocytus, the next he was standing in a mead hall stretching to infinity with about a dozen Valkyries asking for his phone number.
The death of an impressive and loved character.😢 But he at least died with pride and without regret as a warrior! 😢🥲 The way Cocytus showed Brain respect as a fellow warrior was a touching scene! I could not help but rewatch this scene so many times that I cried. Both Brain and Cocytus deserves respect! 🫡🥲👍🏻
A Honorable end for Brain as he faced certain death in the face, he never hesitated one bit and faced it head on with every shread of courage and honor that he has and Cocytus responded with genuine respect to the fallen warrior. Sayonara.
Cocytus is a very respectable warrior. He honored Brain with a one on one duel by switching to the God Slaying Emperor Blade and using 2 arms. Now, while it wasn't necessary, Cocytus recognized Brain as a fellow warrior and switched weapons and fighting style to match his.
I never would've thought I would grow to like the "honorable warrior" trope from anime. The first character I remember for me was Wamuu which made him my favorite villain from JoJos
Cocytus honored him as a true warrior.. so much so as to go all the way around him after his death. It's things like this that make me love Overlord. Also, "true nail clipper" was awesome.. fighting truly powerful creatures from Nazarick would take all of a humans effort to cut a nail.
Despite being killed by a weaker opponent, Brain Unglaus arguably got a more fitting death for a warrior than Gazeff (probably spelling his name wrong). Facing another warrior and dying with the highest respect Cocytus can bestow to a warrior. Death by the god slaying emperor blade is surely a badass way to go for a warrior. Rest in Peace Brain Unglaus.
I wonder how Brain felt when he heard Cocytus utter the name of that sword. It must have been a rewarding feeling, knowing that even though he was severely outmatched and was facing an opponent that wasn't going all out with their power and capabilities, they were at least taking it seriously enough to respect him as a warrior. Unlike Shalltear, who didn't take him seriously whatsoever. He at least died with his pride still intact, and that's probably what Brain wanted the most out of the confrontation.
@@theoracle2 Indeed, he died with his pride and honor firmly intact. I'd imagine that he felt quite honored to be shown such respect from someone so far above him.
@@roverlimao1944 I haven't read the novels, so I'm sure someone could do a better way of explaining it than I can, but I believe the reason for that is because Suzuki Satoru (Momonga) wasn't as honorable during PvP like Cocytus' creator, Takemikazuchi was. Momonga is more focused on how to defeat his opponents as quickly, efficiently, and safely as possible. He considers every possibility he can think of and acts on it. He is extremely cautious of losing, especially when considering his possible death. It didn't help that Gazef's sword was hinted at being a very likely way to really hurt Ainz.
"Cocytus only unsheathes this weapon [god slaying emperor blade] to those he has the greatest respect for." you always have to respect best bug Cocytus
That's his whole character arc, from someone arrogant of his strength which then has his entire view about the world and his strength shattered by a nail and depressed to the point of suicide, to regaining his resolve seeking greater strength despite fully knowing how he will never reach the strongest but gains confidence in doing enough damage to overcome the nail that broke his psyche. In the end has become one of the strongest humans but still remained humble that at his best he would only clip the nails of the very strongest and died not as a coward, not in suicide but as a true warrior.
What a ride that Brain has had. Widely considered strong enough to possibly go head up with Stronoff before the arrival of Nazarick, gets embarrassed by Shalltear and essentially loses his mind because of it, gets his motivation back after some time, vows to become even stronger after Stronoff’s death, trains even harder and goes head up with Cocytus and gets Cocytus to recognize him as a Warrior and gives him an honorable death. Hats off to you, Brain Unglaus.
One of the best death I've seen ever, a death with honor, he fought to the very end even knowing that he wouldn't stand a chance, the way that Cocytus walk around him just to show him respect 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Not just that, but he perfected it. The original skill was an untargeted attack that would hit everything around gazef, Brain managed to combine it with his own talents and make it so every single slash hits the exact same spot at the exact same time. Its literally 6 strikes in 1, all at the same point. Truly worthy of a "SUBARASHI!" from a swordmaster like cocytus.
Observe how he called him "Bushin Takemikazuchi". He said that a "God of War" (or Warrior God if you want a rougher translation) would have thought the same of Brain. Now - that is praise.

Does Sebas ever learn of this fight? Im kinda curious as to what sort of reaction he would have. I mean, he was an enemy of nazarick so obviously he had to die, but just like cocytus honors this human, sebas might give a sad sigh to the loss of a respectable young man. It also might make for an interesting conversation as they both talk about the man and their interactions. Cocytus would probably feel even more respect for his memory after learning of how he grew as a man and hero.
He'd probably be saddened to hear he died, but probably be proud of how he met his end and happy it was against someone like Cocytus as opposed to someone more sadistic. He got a fitting end and died with dignity. Not something that happens much in this world.
I only just realized this, but the area immediately around Brain might have been left untouched per Cocytus's orders. This means that it is possible only a small handful of people survived the destruction of the Kingdom, and it was Brain who saved them. Maybe in the end he was able to, in some small way, defend against the monstrous power he feared. Better than a nail clipper, at least.
This was such a cool scene in the books. Brain normally wouldn't be able to use greater ability boost on top of ability boost, because it causes to much strain on the mind and body. But in this moment he literally surpassed his limits through sheer willpower, which is why he is bleeding so heavily. Cocytus was so impressed by this that he took his weapon and chose not to step over an honourable warriors corpse which is why he crosses the street.
I actually liked Brain so much after his character development. Like seriously, was one of my favorite characters outside of Nazarick. I’m glad Cocyutus at least gave him a death that wasn’t an over the top embarrassment.
Take this with a ton of salt as I may be wrong, but just to put it out there (the level/stat information is from the fandom, rest is anime and my brain): Brain Unglaus at the time of Death was considered to be level 40. Due to his innate talent, he was able to pull off the mass amount of marshal skills he pulled off in this scene. To list what he did, he used: Ability Boost Greater Ability Boost and True Nail Clipper. It is worth noting that True Nail Clipper is supposedly ~10 levels out of his grasp, but due to "innate Talent" he was able to pull it off, meaning at the time of death, his skill was potentially a lvl 50 skill carried out at level 40 strength which was attained via the training hinted, as well as the potions boosting his stats. The reason why True Nail Clipper is out of his grasp is the mass combination of skills used to create it. It is created from: Field, God Flash and Sixfold Slash of Light. The issue here is that Six Fold Slash of Light is a higher level version gained from his training of Fourfold Slash of Light (the one he used to cut Shalltear's nail and the one Gazeff used to beat Brain in the tournament). God Flash is an ability that raises his speed so greatly that when he cuts through somebody, the blade doesn't even have blood on it, and Field that maxes out his perception, accuracy and evasion. So essentially, unlike lil miss Clementine, she who is in the realm of heroes who used only 4 Martial Arts simultaneously (Stride of Wind, Greater Evasion, Ability Boost, Greater Ability Boost) who was in the realm of heroes, not only is she (for comparisons sake) trying to compare herself to Gazeff, but grossly overwhelmed by effectively Brain's essentially 6x Martial Arts of which ALL of them are more powerful (Feild alone is more or less equivalent to Stride of Wind and Greater Evasion, and it's just used as a pre-req to activate True Nail Clipper). Brain Actually became super human for 1 second. Besides Fluder, I do believe he is the strongest human in the story, and 100% the strongest human warrior. Props
Warriors show respect by taking the slain’s weapon. Cocytus truly lives up to his master’s legacy. I hope to see more of this. And that he will honor all true warriors this way.
Imagine Ainz broadcasting the entire obliterated kingdom and Cocytus just standing there with Brain's frozen corpse, like "This madlad fought and won his piece of ground. Learn away"
One of the best character development from a promising soldier who became a bandit who believed he was on par with the Kingdoms Hero only to be humiliated by Shalltear. Ran away from everything consumed by despair. Later sees Climb train with Sebas how to overcome fear of death and was inspired by Climb's resolve then he slowly gains his confidence to find his own purpose. Survived Katze Plains, despite knowing end was inevitable when Sorcerer Kingdom declared war he stayed and stood his ground against Nazariks greatest warrior Cocytus. With the warriors resolve Cocytus granted him a warriors death and went as far as to not trample the ground he stood on.
It is said that in the LN before his death Brain had actually surpassed Gazef in power, of course none will know of this fact based on the results but he had actually if only a sliver surpassed the realm of heroes. More than just a Man who ran away from Shalltear, he faced his death with honor as a Warrior.
Brain managed to take a chip off the nail of a Floor Guardian in combat and delayed another Floor Guardians' advance, even if the latter was a gesture out of respect for his resolve. That's more than any human could accomplish.
Out of all the Floor Guardians who would have the highest chance of actually losing, it’d be Cocytus. He’s a glass cannon. Think about that. And honestly, Brain’s end hits harder than Gasef’s. We’ve been following Brain and his development into a decent guy since Season 1!

Cocytus does ask Ainz to revive him but we haven't heard anything else about it.

I hope they revived him as an undead or something
Apparently humans basically have a hard cap on their skills so this was about as strong as he can get
Maruyama said in the LN that at this point he had already surpassed Gazef Stronoff, and Gazef was around level 30.

Coccytus has a skill the completely nullifies physical attacks that are under a certain level threshold. And when the skill itself activates it puts up a thin barrier and the weapon doesn't even make contact with Coccytus' shell
The fact that brains sword actually touched him means he was above the level cap for the skill to not work.

Brain was given a fight, filled with honor; he can proudly talk, with Gazef Stronoff, about his last moments in Valhalla.
The gates of Olympus welcomes him
For those who are curious the reason why Cocytus as depicted in this show and his affiliatation with ice is because he's a reference to the final layer of hell, the freezing hell, Cocytus, of Dante's Divine Comedy
Which itself is based upon an ancient Greek river of the same name
His appearance is also that of an ice devil from D&D
Well said bro, especially the part when you mentioned how cocytus saw him as an equal despite being superior to him in every way. Love it.
It's not in the clip, but after exchanging names, Brain does bow to Cocytus for acknowledging him.
Demiurge is the typical scientist who does things and does not give a damn about the consequences or the method he uses to achieve his goals
In the novel, Cocytus says "I have never heard of such a fine warrior." 🥺
I love that the sad song begins as soon as Brain activates his power thus empathising the fact there is no suspense here and that his defeat is inevitable
Brain must have been so confused at the end. One moment he was attacking Cocytus, the next he was standing in a mead hall stretching to infinity with about a dozen Valkyries asking for his phone number.
"You're a fine warrior. Call me sentimental, but I wish we'd met under different circumstances."

The way Cocytus showed Brain respect as a fellow warrior was a touching scene!
Sayonara.
This is a phenomenal scene. Overlord is built on moments like this.
Respect Brain for understanding and accepting his weak humanity and naming is ultimate move the true nail clipper.
I never would've thought I would grow to like the "honorable warrior" trope from anime. The first character I remember for me was Wamuu which made him my favorite villain from JoJos
Farewell Brain, you will be missed. Gazef would be proud.
the way he walked around him afterwards was beautiful

"True Nail Clipper" he had a sense of humor til the end.
If you stop right before Cocytus cuts through his technique, you can see that Brain actually managed a sixfold slash of light at the end there.
Good, i didnt realize but yes
Not just that, but he perfected it. The original skill was an untargeted attack that would hit everything around gazef, Brain managed to combine it with his own talents and make it so every single slash hits the exact same spot at the exact same time. Its literally 6 strikes in 1, all at the same point. Truly worthy of a "SUBARASHI!" from a swordmaster like cocytus.

Cocytus reminds us why he's a lot of peoples favorite. Much respect! That attack name, though, caught me off guard.

Tbh I liked how Cocytus honored warriors instead of victory. A true warrior
love how he devoted his skill on being shalltear's nail clipper, "TRUE NAIL CLIPPER!!"
There is so much nuance in this show. I absolutely love it.
Take this with a ton of salt as I may be wrong, but just to put it out there (the level/stat information is from the fandom, rest is anime and my brain):
Brain Unglaus at the time of Death was considered to be level 40. Due to his innate talent, he was able to pull off the mass amount of marshal skills he pulled off in this scene. To list what he did, he used:
Ability Boost
Greater Ability Boost
and True Nail Clipper.
It is created from:
Field, God Flash and Sixfold Slash of Light.
Learn away"
Side note: Brain was the strongest person Cocytus had fought since their arrival to the new world
One of the best character development from a promising soldier who became a bandit who believed he was on par with the Kingdoms Hero only to be humiliated by Shalltear.
A beautiful scene showing the utmost respect that Cocytus showed Brain.
For the split second before he died, Brain actually became the strongest nw human. Amazing end to a fantastic character.
Rest in peace brave warrior. You have earn it.
I can see Shaltear really left an impression on him with that name lol
rest in piece Brain
Missed the best part. The fact he walks around brain to admit he didn't get past him was awesome.
Rest in peace Brain Unglaus, a noble warrior and a nail clipper of the gods. Next week Overlord ends and wait years for the fifth season.
Well... At least One Punch Man is coming!
@@blurghgitty3000 aww sweet
@@blurghgitty3000 Yo fr?
Don't forget about the movie.
@@cibor07 Yeah if it's 2 hours that like 6 episodes, timewise.
Rest easy o' great warrior thou shall be remembered
Brain you did everyone proud
Such a respectfully fight one that should be remembered
Cocytus is such an honorable warrior.
When we first met him he was a cowardly bandit but at the end he gave his life tried to protect others
Brain managed to take a chip off the nail of a Floor Guardian in combat and delayed another Floor Guardians' advance, even if the latter was a gesture out of respect for his resolve. That's more than any human could accomplish.
even if it was the briefest of moments brain was the strongest human and cocytus respected him and gave him the greatest honor he could
And for a brief moment, he shined like the greatest warrior
One thing I like about cocytus is that he is very respectful.
We all knew it was coming since the opening, but still hurts man.
I love how he named his attack nail clipper
Out of all the Floor Guardians who would have the highest chance of actually losing, it’d be Cocytus. He’s a glass cannon. Think about that.
And honestly, Brain’s end hits harder than Gasef’s. We’ve been following Brain and his development into a decent guy since Season 1!
He's a Glass Cannon only by comparison. He's still leagues above most in the New World.
Are you on drugs, dude? Cocytus is a level 100 multi-classed character. Brain never stood even the slightest chance of giving him a paper cut.
@@opo3628 chill, it's mentioned in the anime that cocytus is a TRUE GLASS CANNON
@@lotterino_6503 - And? Your point being? It doesn't mean that he'll take any kind of damage at all from a level 40. It's also mentioned in the official canon that Cocytus is one of *the* most powerful beings in Nazarick, standing a good chance of defeating even someone like Albedo. Stupid comment was stupid all around.
@@lotterino_6503 - No response because you know I'm right.
