🧢 Darko Milicic was drafted #2 by the Pistons over Melo, they won the championship that yr, went to the Finals/ECF four yrs straight, & he was a bum his entire 10yr career..Meanwhile Melo bounced around from 1 bs system to the next & is still a top 75.. Briscoe can't shoot, isn't athletic enough, & is a defensive liability (in the NBA).. that's why 30 teams passed on em

It’s about shooting and winning. An under the rim mediocre athlete scoring iso twos doesn’t win in this age of basketball. The style has to be conducive to winning in the playoffs. I’ll love briscoe but basketball isn’t ISOs and hero ball anymore. It’s a race to 120 points and briscoe style and tempo isn’t gonna help you win that race.

He was known in Kentucky and the NBA for being A lockdown defender. That’s y he was always picked up and played good minutes. SHOOTING was his weakness. Never defense.

74 but cherry picking and playing minimal defense against guys that aren't near NBA caliber. He would not be doing all this globetrotter stuff in the NBA, he would be a bench player that would have to score by slashing and hustle plays. If he doesn't defend it will be hard to make the league. With good habits he has a chance, but I base nothing off of this game.
I wanna agree but he got hurt when he was in a good situation. In the NBA thats a death sentence when u aren’t a starter. Also, he wasn’t ready when the next season began so that didn’t help either. For what it’s worth, he did apply himself on the defensive end and pushed the pace on offense. Should probably get another shot but he isn’t much of a shooter so he might get overlooked.
