What are some of your eco-activities?🍃
We have a food waste bin and home recycling service. Here in the UK there is a charge for plastic shopping bags so we have our own reusable bags. We also have our own drink bottles, straws and chopsticks.
We try and cut down on excessive water and electricity use as well. We live in London so don't need a car and use public transport.
In Japan, food waste is separated from other garbage and recycled. I was surprised to learn that this is not practiced everywhere. I will also look for more things that can be done with food waste!
@@OkiAinAmerica here in the UK our council collects the food waste and composts it for public parks and other green spaces. They take our recycling as well. At Christmas they will take your old Christmas tree and recycle or compost it too.
It's a great system where the community works together!
