some interesting points. Agreed that octave width is often a problem with trumpet mouthpieces. however what is being described is not related to equal temperament. Equal temperament is more related to the even progression of faster beating intervals. 3rds, 6ths etc
a concept more relevant to mouthpieces, tuning and octave width would be “stretched” octaves which is the idea of tuning to coincidental partials higher than 2:1 in the octave. 4:2, 6:3, 8:4 etc. Pianos tuners face the reality while trying to make several octaves sound good over the full range of the piano. Inharmonicity requires a bit of this “stretch” Trumpets, and other non-fixed pitch instruments probably do lots of octave and other interval width compensation, because it sounds better.

Absolutely marvellous mouthpieces. Got it in the post Saturday morning. Gigged Saturday afternoon with totally battered chops from the night before with no chance to try it before sailed through 4 hours with very little effort.

Lotus and Monette are like Bentley and Rolls Royce. Extremely luxurious mouthpieces but if you put your foot on the gas they can turn into high performance beasts in a millisecond with no effort.

Hey there, we very much are! Although our mouthpiece production has been moving slowly for the last few months, and still is, we're expecting to be up and running at full speed again in October. You can still place an order now, and if your size is out of stock, you'll shortly receive an email from Adam explaining the situation in more detail.
