I, for one, just appreciate with all my heart Mr. 22Plinkster protecting all of us from The Plague. Whatever modern medicine can't fix, a .17 Hornet can.
Love watching your channels just found out about th is one and look forward to seeing more hunts. Beautiful scenery out there I would love to go on a prairie dog hunt someday. Keep up the great work bud and thanks again.
Hey awesome video. I just found this channel watch your main channel regularly. Just out of curiosity do you remember what model/magnification the scope is? I just got one and love it!
They could have the plague, so I wouldn't recommend touching them to find out. If you catch it, there is about a 10% chance of dying even with treatment.
Always wanted to go south dakota to hunt prairie dogs, me and my dad were gonna go but we ended up not going. Cant wait to go out there eventually, Ill be ready when I go Ive been practicing shots on wood chucks out to 350 with my 17 hmm
Your trigger warning triggers me. Can you fix it. Like who watches a channel about guns and doesnt expect things to get shot. Almost like watching porn, and expecting no shooting scene at the end. Thanks
Looked like that rifle had almost no recoil at all. Popping pasture poodles is one of the most fun things you can do. The ranchers hate them, the cattle step in their holes and break their legs, then the cow often dies in the field and the rancher takes a huge financial hit.
Great white hunter. I used to plink prairie dogs and gophers with 22LR and open sights as a teen. We used to stalk them not squat 400 yards away with high-velocity long gun.
I used to shoot barn swallows with a 410 when I was a kid in Maine. It was like fish in a barrel. I could occasionally get two or three with one shot. This looks like more fun though.
PBRstreetgang I don't mean to be that guy but barn swallows are not legal to kill as they are protected by the migratory bird treaty act. (An international law)
Also building nests does not seem like a sufficient reason to start killing them in my opinion. They are actually very usefull creatures because of the amounts of insects they eat. So they are usefull both for agriculture and for our comfort around the house.
Kill a deer, a turkey or a squirrel for it's meat. Trap animals for their skins to sell to make money. Kill predators that go for your stock. I've done all things, but I have never understood the desire to kill critters just because they make a good target. It is a waste.
Those ones killed in the video are known to have plague? If not known, do you just kill them all? Plague is spread via fleas. I'm sure fleas infest the other fur bearers (wild and domesticated), so let's kill them all too.
Yes. I lived out west a while. Before the plague excuse was used it was "Cows and horses step in burrow holes and break their legs". Never personally saw or knew of any stock injured, just stories of it. Now plague is the excuse. So, you bust 50 prairie dogs in a day and leave them laying. Spoor of dead critters on the wind draws in coyotes for clean up that night...plague fleas don't die with the dead prairie dogs...they just jump to a new host. Now you have a much more mobile fur bearing species spreading fleas around. It does not wash. It is just a rationalization to shoot critters for the hell of it.
WARNING. THINGS GET SHOT. Holy smokes I love America. Sweet channel, 22P, keep em coming!
I, for one, just appreciate with all my heart Mr. 22Plinkster protecting all of us from The Plague. Whatever modern medicine can't fix, a .17 Hornet can.
Great video, I loved the phone video through the scope. I just got back from Billings MT doing the same thing! Kimber 22-250 works great!
Nice shooting but the music ... well not so good.
A renewable resource with the Bonus of Not having to go out and set up the targets over and over.
Thumbs up! You're the only shooter that actually pulls the trigger. All others just taaaaaaaalk.
I've been out west and the prairie dogs are out of control! This is called conservation folks...
Love watching your channels just found out about th is one and look forward to seeing more hunts. Beautiful scenery out there I would love to go on a prairie dog hunt someday. Keep up the great work bud and thanks again.
Fun stuff! I was just introduced to prairie dog hunting a few weeks ago and it’s so much fun!
Hey awesome video. I just found this channel watch your main channel regularly. Just out of curiosity do you remember what model/magnification the scope is? I just got one and love it!
You ought to get along well with the "Ted's Holdover" channel!
I liked the video except the music.
This!
Curious what distance the rifle was zeroed at? Most shots seemed to have very little hold, especially if engaging at 450 yards.
Nice 👍🏼 Shooting.17Hornet Seems Pretty Effective I Have A .22Hornet That I Really Love 😀😀😀😊🇺🇸
How big was the stack of dead prairie dogs?
They could have the plague, so I wouldn't recommend touching them to find out. If you catch it, there is about a 10% chance of dying even with treatment.
@@samhouston1288 like... The bubonic plague?
Yes, that's the one. The prairie dog population in Oklahoma is actually suffering a pretty bad decline because of a plague outbreak.
Lmao @ 1:24
That dog went airborne!!!!
The music is perfect.

#1 WORST Music ever heard on a You Tube!
LMAO... good shooting though, gotta LOVE Savage 17HMR rounds & that trigger!
He's not using .17 HMR, he's using .17 Hornet. They're two different cartridges.
Yes it did suck music.do better next tine.wwplkter
Looks like a lot of fun! I've always wanted a .17 for small varmints.
Should have showed more close in footage. Seeing exploding prairie dogs is what people want.
What is the name of the rifle and who's it made by??
Love to see the content from my homestate. Never really see videos come out of here
I love the music as much as i love the graphic death meted to those cute and cuddly little things.
Ware are you hunting on private land ?
I can't find ammo I have the same gun and have every thing to reload it bit I can't find the ammo to reload it help if you can
Love the music, feel like I'm at the arcade playing whack a mole! Haha haha
Are you on privit land or are you hunting at a pay too hunt land ??
"Things get shot" .... LMAO!!!! Keep being yourself Plinkster.
I just found out about Plinkster's second channel and had to check it out.
That's looking fun and those little sucker's put holes all over. Didn't know about the plague. The holes can damage live stock.
Hey plinkster would you see a problem doing that with deer in bean fields for crop protection?
I would't mind but I wouldn't take a .17
Oli4vn an AR
Paul Alexander I've hit deer at 500 yards with my sig mcx
Could you do a video similar to this using the 17 wsm?
Please tell me, music and artist?
Why do you leave the stickers on your rifle?
Probably a rifle that was provided by the manufacturers for advertising in this video.
I'd like the link for the sideshot. Great video
Are you hunting on privet land do you pay to hunt
S Dakota has most amazing pheasant population I have ever seen. You can have my prairie dogs. I'll take your fowl.
Now that looks like fun
Why the Sam hell aren't you using Stangers?
Video is nice quality but the music is F***ing HORRIBLE!!!!! What were you thinking to make that choice??!!!!!
ITS CHRISMAS!!!!!!
Notification squadddd
I’m prairie doggin’ it right now!
Great fun ! Enjoyed watching
That music though
I used to own a 17 Remington in a Sako heavy barrel. I miss that gun. 17 hornet is close. I can’t believe you missed
that looked like a lot of fun
whats with the goofy music?
Only you would have this music on here lol
Ironic that something that looks as cute and harmless as a prairie dog can do so much damage.
I'm just pumped that he brought back the same song from the last prairie dog video 😂
yep i just got back from the doctor. this music did give me cancer. Great shooting though.
POPPING DOGS OUT TO 500 YARDS! GOOD LORD! FUCK YEAH! CONSERVATION!
Leaving @2:45--------the music.
You guys do anything with the harvest or is this just pest control? I know those things can be a real problem for farmers in those areas.
Who else came from savage mod 25vid 22plinkster
Good shooting there Tex!! LOL! The music really made the video! Couldn't keep from laughing !!
A lot more prairie dogs on camera.
Great vid, but that music has to go
😎🇺🇸🥩
ALLEN!!!!....ALLE(POW!!)
Great shooting but not impressed w the optics. Just being honest...
Always wanted to go south dakota to hunt prairie dogs, me and my dad were gonna go but we ended up not going. Cant wait to go out there eventually, Ill be ready when I go Ive been practicing shots on wood chucks out to 350 with my 17 hmm
First one and a few more went flying after getting hit
Your trigger warning triggers me. Can you fix it. Like who watches a channel about guns and doesnt expect things to get shot. Almost like watching porn, and expecting no shooting scene at the end. Thanks
Why go back to South Dakota now,...there can't be any 'dogs left, can there? Not after this session of shootin' there can't be!!
great shooting
David Wagner you’re sick man.
Looked like that rifle had almost no recoil at all. Popping pasture poodles is one of the most fun things you can do. The ranchers hate them, the cattle step in their holes and break their legs, then the cow often dies in the field and the rancher takes a huge financial hit.
You hunt them for FUN!!!??
Sweet day indeed, fun all day!
22plinkster should have used the venerated 22 Hornet. And daddy said if you shoot it eat it. Happy 4th.
Dan Fraser Daddy may have said it, but that does not made it a moral law. Do you eat the mice in your traps?
Got a cat.
Something will eat those prairie dogs. I wouldn't though. They can have serious diseases and probably don't taste that great.
as always good shooting
Why the stupid music ????
U B A Sniper no P dog is safe when the Plinkster is in town !
That’s so sad. You should be ashamed.😢
Yyyyyyy
Great white hunter. I used to plink prairie dogs and gophers with 22LR and open sights as a teen. We used to stalk them not squat 400 yards away with high-velocity long gun.
Everyone has their own tastes. It's not like he's "22GetsReallyCloseToThingsAndShootsThem." He's about marksmanship
400 yds?? Ya, that's what amateurs shoot at. More challenging at 1000+
The music SUCKS!
music sucks!
Went to Colorado last year to prairie dog hunt and got to shoot some out to 1000 yards.
I'm all for shooting pests but your silly music seems to trivialise what is a serious undertaking. disliked and not subscribed.
I used to shoot barn swallows with a 410 when I was a kid in Maine. It was like fish in a barrel. I could occasionally get two or three with one shot. This looks like more fun though.
Might I ask why you shot barn swallows? Never heard a reason to do so.
tjaster94 they build nests on houses and in barns.
PBRstreetgang I don't mean to be that guy but barn swallows are not legal to kill as they are protected by the migratory bird treaty act. (An international law)

did you not get to the end of the video?
flysubcompact they carry the plague.
Those ones killed in the video are known to have plague? If not known, do you just kill them all? Plague is spread via fleas. I'm sure fleas infest the other fur bearers (wild and domesticated), so let's kill them all too.

They are destructive, disease bearing little assholes. Take your moral grandstanding somewhere else.
Lol that was some really boring footage.
