I'm new to the Hue/Saturation adjustment layers, so there is one thing that is confusing to me. When you first start working on the layer, the Reds are selected in the dropdown, but by the end of the video, the Yellows are selected. I didn't see you change from Reds to Yellows, so did I miss a step? I just tried it on a model who has some greenish tint in her skin in our shoots, and this worked wonders.
Thanks!
Hi John! It changed later because we moved the range sliders. The new position corresponded more towards the "Yellows" than the "Reds." That's why it automatically changed. Sometimes Photoshop also creates additional options in the list like "Reds 2" or "Yellows 2" to accommodate for the custom range that you have targetted. This is normal.
@@PiXimperfect Got it. Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorials!

Those sliders are the most anti-user-friendly ui element in the whole universe!
Haha, you're right! They are so tiny and challenging to get a hold of! I wish they were easier to fine-tune too.
The gradient colour point sliders are also terrible!
Lmaoo so true
As are the blend-if sliders. So buried and unintuitive (for n00bz)
@Nebojša Nikolić. 👍🏼That holds true. Until you enter the universe of Adobe After Effects! 😉
Dude i learned more photoshop knowledge from you than my entire 3 years of college
That means a lot, I'm honored to hear that! Thank you so much for watching :)
The video I didn’t know I needed
Thank you!
Does Adobe even know about all these features that you are teaching to the world?
Now they do 😉
@@PiXimperfect 😂

A good explanation of how to set the workspace of a HueSaturation adjustment layer. Since this works on many image processing programs, it can even be used for other programs then Photoshop.
One of RUclips channels I never regret being subscribed!

"To bring back hue and sat to its original position, simply double click their names"
OMG... Wait what?
I have been years going to each cell and writing "0" + enter LOL
Thank you Unmesh!
Sir, i really like you and I am learning many things from you
🤠 Thanks for this tut. I've been ignoring the Hue tool for decades. Can't remember if it was covered in Photoshop Classroom In A Book or not. I barely even touch the one in Camera Raw. Usually for color-correction, I use the Auto Tone/Color menu commands, LUTs & occasionally the Curves tool. Those Hue sliders were so scary to use due to the minuscule size of the triangles & drastic changes with small movements.
It's is good stuff... Thank you ❤
You're a genius.
You are the best..

thank you.
Thank you so Sir ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is 1st time i knew how to do this not exact way but concept is similar i have really learned a lot from umesh. I do my own method qnd concept thanks umesh

Thank you from Philippines
Interesting! Is there a way to do something similar in LR , perhaps with the new color grade tools
wao so amazing :"D
Super bro❤️
you r a legend
Never thought there was an easier way
Unmesh love this! This really helps me with my newborn photography! Could you make this an action or would it be better to adjust for each session? If the full gallery has this issue what would be the fastest way to edit them? Make action? Copy and paste adjustments?
I love you!
you are amazing
Love you Bro--- from Bangladesh🥰
Me too❤️❤️
Lots of love to you too! Thank you so much, brother.
@@PiXimperfect 🥰
Umesh tussi great ho!!!!
I love the trick for isolating the desired zone. Note: Not sure if this is the case or not, but if the transition area's falloff is linear, it might create a 'mach band' ( if the adjustment is severe ) - a visual artefact where the rate of change is abrupt ( discontinuous 2nd-derivative, aka. "jerk" ), whereas if the transition area's falloff is based on a cubic ( i.e. cubic interpolation, aka. 'smoothstep' ), then no problem. I wonder how Adobe engineers designed this?
My awesome friend
When The Tutorial Started I Was Expecting You To Use Curves And Select Green Channel and take It Down From the Shadow Areas.. But It Was Completely Different
Thank you for all the great tutorials! They're so good that even people I know (who are not interested in Photoshop) watch them regularly! Best of wishes from Serbia!
super bro
Good work, be safe
I am really learning a lot of things from you, thanks for your time! Last week I was working on photographies using white screen and images to compose an image inspired by Edward Hopper. A lot of shadows and very dark images. But lol there is always But... I couldn't... So if you have any chance to do something inspired by Edward Hopper, I would really appreciate it. And again thanks for your videos, you are awesome! Cheers...
