Thanks for following up Joe! Can we assign more homework? What does the curve look like with loudness disabled?

First: I prefer the unmodified sound but that's me. Feels like the mids/pressence/the sound is more back in the modified/calibrated/tuned/eqed one. Second track wider with the "trueplay" one, but I'd still pick the closer one. For the guitar maybe I actually prefer the modified one. In general it sounded more tinny than the original. Of course only from how it sound through my B&W DM601S2 then again it's what I usually listen through so I'm likely kinda used to hear things like those sound.
I have a stereo set mounted to the wall with approx 4,5m in between. With the Trueplay on it sounds pretty crisp. I think these work best mounted on a solide wall VS 'loose' placement on a surface.
I lost you at the Desktop category. How are they not designed for desk use? They are perfect for desk use as you don't need any cables (if you have an Apple laptop/desktop).
Hi, i have a question. Can you tell me, if you can compare Symofonisk sound quality(bass, etc.) vs. I dont know mybe JBL flip 4 witch I have. I have in my home 2 google nest hubs an 2 google nest mini 2nd gen. Is it compatibile to play together? Thank you :)
Sonos speakers sound fine without the true play. Just give the bass and treble “EQ” a very minor adjustment to your liking and your set. The true play calibration really should be done with a calibrated microphone that can capture the full audio spectrum, not a basic smart phone microphone. Not sure why Sonos even makes this an option since true play usually makes the speaker sound like garbage.
Tried to watch your last live stream but despite you reading comments from the chat at my end it said "live chat was disabled" When i refreshed and reloaded the stream a couple of times the video wasn't even available to me with a "This video is PRIVATE" message..!!
Sounds really nasty with TruePlay. The stock eq curve sounds good and follows a classic studio "ideal" slope. I usually try to listen to "flat" monitors for mixing and just enjoyment, but in this case...yuck.
Both are Symfonisk. One is just with the trueplay calibration on. I think it's a bit misleading because it's optimizing for the room, not for a close-mic recording like I did. Just interesting to see what they're doing.
Aaaagghhhghhghghgh I have this same problem with Audyssey. Basically, I sit in my THREE listening positions and let it do its thing. Then I tweak it and I invariably increase the bass by a lot and the treble by a little. Then I tend to turn up the back speakers a little cos I wanna be able to tell they are there, even if I can't hear them properly.
Sonos does not support Android 6.01. This reflects badly on the manufacturer, because after 3-4 years we are left with a useless system. I gave the equipment to IKEA - Sonos effectively discouraged me from solving: application - sound system. This solution brings profits only to the manufacturer.

Sounded better before! Not even close🤓🤫
Excellent work
Very interesting findings
Subscribed!
And how did you get Rew to play the frequency sweep through sonos?
as always great content Joey. thank you so much man!
Thank you!
It seems there is a Phaser pedal/effect when TruePlay in ON.
The best calibration method is still our ears.
Is it normal with treuplay on i can still eq it myself? 🤔

I am hoping you can also review the Sonos Amp to see how it plays with a couple different speakers like Klipsch 600 RP
With TruePlay on it kinda sounded like when the AUX is not connected the right way^^

I don't know homes, in my case I have 2 in stereo and without Trueplay they sound like boomy garbage, even with all the EQ tweaks.
Echo studio (single/ pair) vs 2 Ikea Symfonisk? Thanks

Yes, it was only for the people viewing live. What's up?
@@joentell I was viewing live..!!
Or at least, I was trying to.......
How abt this VS Sonos Play and Sonos 1?
With trueplay it sounds like the music is in the same room. Works best with vocals and instruments, not with heavy bass
I remember your old leader board - green tape and pieces of paper!! LOL!! Boy - I have been watching you a long time!!
Yes!
You are great bro... Best videos.......
Could you do a video on transducers? I would like to hear if it's worth the investment.
I'm planning to do a video about bass shakers. Does that count?

My2c: Symphonisk sound way better. Much more full and round whilst still getting those lows and highs. Didn't hear the unmodified enough to judge.

true play made vocals sound like they were in a can. lol
Sounds like a plastic Beaker to me
yes, sounds awful
wheres the test?
Native Symfonisk sounded better to than Truesound. The latter sounded tinny and distinctly muffled.
crazy how true play destroys the sound, especially the female voice. I didn't expect that.
